*The week*

Okay, somehow the week jus flew by unknowingly. 2 21st birthdays went by this week. Renuka's(belated) and Shahmen's(advanced). And yes, time does fly very quickly when u have sumthing to do. Was helping my fren wif her work for a few days. Good to do sumthing to try to make the brain work. Hey if u're reading this, sori if it wasn't of much help. Brain rusty already lah. And ya, i've got sumthin to update u. Trust me, u wld be interested in this. And u know what i mean. Haha.

Finally, after almost 7 weeks, i did some jogging jus now. Yea, jus had to. Its so unlike me to not break out some sweat. Went to explore the Innova JC and Sports School route. Then up some landscape where i could get some good view of the estates. And as expected, i was tired not after long. And i didn't want to push myself cos i know tt wld be a stupid thing to do, especially since it's been so long since i ran. Shoulder's already screwed. I dun need anything else to gimme problems. And yea, i felt so much better after the jog/walk. Hope the discipline starts kicking in and i'll be doin this more often.

Euro 08 update. Italy, cock up lah. I was predictin a final 4 of Porugal, Germany, Netherlands and Spain. Now tt Croatia beat Germany, either Portugal or Germany won't be in the final 4, as i think most prob, they wld be meetin each other in the quarters instead. If Italy does beat France and qualify, they'll meet Spain in the quarters. And if they go on to win Spain, although i'm a die hard Italy fan, i would say tt is totally undeserved.

It's a pity when hatred has changed into a mindset, you can't change it even if you want to.

*World Best Football Player 2008*

Ok. If you're not a football fan, then i think u can proceed on to the next website u wanna view. Cos this is gonna be total football. Jus sum thoughts and analysis that i have done for whom i think would be named the world's best football player at the end of the year. I suddenly got the mood to do this cos we're in the midst of the Euro '08. Not to mention Italy's humiliating thrashing by the Netherlands this morning. Haix. Sadded man.

Lets review back on who were the top 3 last year. Starting from the winner, Kaka. Plays for AC Milan and Brazil. This season, Milan did very badly in Serie A. So badly tt they failed to qualify for the champion's league for next season. This is definitely not gonna help him in retaining his title. Furthermore, Brazil are not in any sort of major international activities this year. So he'll be rather quiet internationally. Therefore, Kaka being even in the top 3 is highly impossible.

2nd place was Lionel Messi. Similar to Kaka, he is a South American. Specifically, Argentinian. So he'll be rather quiet internationally as well. He didn't do well domestically wif Barcelona either, finishing 3rd in La Liga. This is considered a rather bad result, as they were favourites to win the league after the acquisitial of Theirry Henry. And causing their manager Frank Rijkaard to get the sack, wouldn't help much to his cause as well.

3rd was Cristiano Ronaldo. Ok. This fella is the hot favourite. He is the only one from last year's top 3 to improve. And by a large extent as well. 42 goals in all club competitions this season. Helping, sumtimes even individually, Man Utd to win the premiership and champion's league titles. And right now he is in Austria, wif his country Portugal, trying to guide them to their first ever international honours at Euro '08. But there is this negative side to him. His theatrics. Although he has cut down by quite a bit, he still crumbles to the ground quite easily. And he has got this attitude tt when he gets pushed, he jus stops play, waiting for the referee to award him the foul. Those who watched the final premiership game against Wigan would know what i'm tokin bout. Nevertheless, 42 goals for a winger in a season speaks volumes of itself. Top scorer in both champion's league and the premiership. Also the 2nd choice captain for his country at the tender age of 23. And he has a chance of winning Euro, wif Portugal gettin on wif a perfect start. I'm actually gettin tired of stating down his accomplishments. I think he'll be the one who wins it, by a mile or more.

Now that i think the first place is settled, now for 2nd and 3rd. And surprisingly, i've got no idea who it mite be. Cos no one has actually stood out frm the rest like Ronaldo in all the leagues. Lets go to Spain. Real Madrid won the title, but no one particularly stood out. The only name that comes to my head is Sergio Ramos. But not prolific enuff to be in the top 3. Bayern Munich won in Germany. Luca Toni and Frank Ribery did well, but still not that much of an impact to get such an accolade. Lyon in France. Benzema finished as top scorer and is one of the more promising players for the future, but not quite that best there is now.

After travelling around the top leagues in the world, its back to the premiership. I think that 2nd place would go to Liverpool and Spanish player, Fernando Torres. Although the club didn't do well, they would have been worst off without El-Nino. Breaking the record of scoring most goals in a debut season, eclipsing Ruud van Nistelrooy is something remarkable. And if Spain does go far in Euro, he'll have a gd chance to finish in this top 3.

For third place, i seriously got no idea. The best i could come up wif is Spanish and Valencia sensation, David Villa. He's in the wrong club. He gotta move to the epl to realise his full potential. The only silver lining in a super under-achieving club. 10th in La Liga. He's in his prime now. He has to shine at Euro to show wat he's made of. And there's another Spanish, Cesc Fabregas of Arsenal. Yea, the club didn't do well. But at such a young age, he filled in the hole left by Patrick Viera perfectly, if not, better. He has a great vision to be a gd central midfielder. One of the very few players who use their brains while playing. If its not him, then i guess it might be another Spaniard, Sergio Ramos. If not again, i think it'll be a Man Utd player, for their accomplishments this season. But its dificult to name someone apart from Ronaldo. Perhaps Rooney, Ferdinand or Edwin Van Der Sar. Even Michael Ballack of Chelsea and Germany. Its a tough choice for 3rd. I think this would boil down to whoever stands out and performs well in the ongoing Euro.

So here u have it. My top 3 football players for the year 2008.
1st--> Cristiano Ronaldo (Portugal and Manchester United)
2nd --> Fernando Torres (Spain and Liverpool)
3rd --> David Villa (Spain and Valencia) or Edwin Van Der Sar (Netherlands and Manchester United) or Cesc Fabregas (Spain and Arsenal)

*So many thoughts*

Ok, this week has been, in my terms, pretty chaotic for me. I have been doing so much planning recently. Only one person knows what exactly they are. As in, got a clue on what's quite happening to me. And to this one person, Hello there. Haha. I still haven't heard from you. But its alrite lah. I think i confused u and put u in a spot. Like i said, you're the onli one i can turn to. =)

Alot of things has been going on. Alot of thinking and brainstorming as well. All these resulting in a few nights of not even sleeping a wink in a row. It can drive oneself mad. Well, last time, i used to sleep too well i guess. Thats why now i'm thinking so much that i can't sleep.

Physio has gone up a whole now level. Not one or two levels up. It's a way different thing we're talking about. At the rate i'm going, i won't be surprised if i take the dumb bell and hit my therapist's head. Haha. Kidding. It's good in a way. For faster recovery, i have to dare to go further. And i can't quite achieve tt one my own.

Sports update

French Open. Nadal is having fun in this grandslam. It seems to be like his playground. Yesterday's quarter-final. 6-1,6-1,6-1. Total demolishment. And its a QUARTER-FINAL. I think the opponent super low morale. He thought tt if he wore the same colour shirt as Nadal, he could atleast play half as good. Not quite. And it was Nadal's bdae too. Come on man. Make it 4 years in a row. Undefeated in Paris. Semis against Djokovic won't be easy though.

EURO 2008. Wow. It's almost here. I remember the previous edition of this. In 2004. I jus got into poly and this was the main talk. And worst still, out of all teams, no disrespect but i gotta repeat this, out of ALL teams, Greece won. This time, i hope Italy would win. It's my fav team of cos. Oh ya, sad news. No Fabio Cannavaro. Ankle ligaments during training. I totally understand how u feel, if u're reading this. Haha! But Italy's chances have dropped significantly after losing him out. And some fellow frm Fiorentina whom i've nt heard of b4 is taking over him. And Buffon is the captain. He's my favourite GK, but a GK being a captain, i'm not really supportive of that. My heart says Italy. But my head says either Portugal(if its really meant to be Ronaldo's year), Holland(if they get their damn defence sorted out), Germany(2nd in World cup 2002, 3rd in 2006, bout time they WON sumthing) or Spain(i neva understood how a team like this has neva ever won anything).

Long term thoughts. Super long term. Plus minus 5 years. Think bout it. How were u then and how wld u be. Sumtimes it can scare the shit out of you.

*Rhythm of life*

Ok, so after 4 weeks of closely following the show, it finally got to an end yesterday. Erm, it's nt quite realistic, but the plot ain't too bad i guess. Out of the 6 main leads, 4 of them had a chance to die. Not quite sumthing u get to see in many shows. And this thing bout the tossing coin into the river and makin a wish. Can sumone pls tell me where's tt place, cos i oso wanna try my luck. There's this specific period of time which i wish to go back and see if i am able to change things. Haha!

And as for my own rhythm of life, quite stagnant on the outside, chaotic on the inside.
