vintage-like flora look~

I got myself Nail Up July copy~^^ went to town nearby 2 days ago and how can i not buy it!!! >v<
Ok so i bought it and i is so happie~ haha.... can't stop the excitement cause i finally own a Nail up magazine. (it's hard to find fresh from Japan nail magazine here.. :( )

If you follow my blog frequently you will know i'm quite busy with assignment lately, so i put on fakies for the sake that fakies need few minutes to stick well on my nails and will stay there nicely without me worrying of polish not drying or whatsoever. And this french design is simple enough to keep my nails looks clean and neat for the time being. :)

Just too bad that is cannot cover my tips entirely cause i still want my 'ori' length to maintain. :(

Anyways, like i say yesterday on previous post, i have some free time today away from assignment, and since i'm eyeing on the nail design on Nail Up cover, decided to transform it to my own nails (i mean the fakies, lolx)..^^

Oh, after i got it and decided to put this design 1st of all, i immediately go get myself the light green (no idea what's that color call. T.T) from The Skin Food, haha..
If you are curious about it, it's BL509.

Until i realize i'm suppose to snap photo for the steps, then i again, realize my camera has to be charge. ><>
But i guess it's not difficult right...

For the flora design, after your base is dry,
simply use your thin brush or dotting tools, like what i used,
draw green short line (the leaf) and then with blue short lines (whatever, to add some layers to the patter) and lastly fill up with light red and red (as the flower).

I replace the gold balls with small flakes as it serve the same purpose..
you may also dot it with gold polish with dotting tools..

Not really use to the fakies's shape on my nails, looks more round. :p
but as what i notice, the polish dries faster on fakies compare to real nails. wonder why?

Ok, till then, everyone take care and be good~ haha..

Nails By Rachel #3 The purple powerpuff~ ^^

It's not really my style even my sister told me few times, but it's still my creation and must be someone's cup of tea so why not share this with them?? ^^

A bad habit of mine -- i can't stand on looking back my old creation, i feel so embarrass i think it's not good anymore and wanna makeover for each of them~
Thus, i can guarantee most some of Nails By Rachel series that is coming up will be modified.

Ok ok, back to the nails today, it's like those black & pink girly one, but added bit of gold, well as one of my signature style, haha..
Oh and, i'm running out of fakies, so i did it on my nails.. :)

Ingredient of purple powerpuff girl is slightly different from Blossom Bubbles and Buttercup~ :p

Elianto divine gold 03
Elianto twillight zone40
QY-no-brand polish in White
beads
glitter powder
dotting tool

And this~ is the original one, haha...

Step 1 to make purple powerpuff~~
black polish as base...

To make the purple red sparkle more shiny, add a layer of white polish before it..

*****
Break time~~
Banana boat with scopesssssss of chocolate ice cream and you cover it with 2bananas corn flakes and Milo powder ( cocoa powder but sweet one) on top till you can't even see the main cast ice cream and yum~~~ ^^v
*****

half an hour later back to work~
apply 1 coat of top coat on the love again, then you sparkle the glitter on it and clean the excess..

Then you outline it with beads..

I swear i will not buy cheap nail stuff anymore!
(well except for nail polish perhaps :p)
the beads is in purple but straight after i sweep top coat on it, the color just goes off and only left silver color, rrghh.......

Then i dot 2 straight line with gold on each nails.
Clearly you can see i forgot to take photo of it again.. :p

For pinky and thumb i just dot the gold...
the loves are in different position if you notice from the beginning till the end, because i can't stand of the unequal-ness of the white polish on black base, so i remove all of them and redraw and luckily it came out better if not i swear i will definitely remove and draw remove and draw! == can't stand on imperfection more and more now.. ><

Edited by Rachel for just some childhood memories~ ^^v

Ok, till then.. i'm going out with some old school friends tomorrow for gathering so you might not see new post up.. maybe late in night again k.. hehe...
Sweet sweet night to Rachel and Good good Morning to the other side of me~ ^^/

Nails By Rachel #2 Bridal french

Today we are going to create a simple yet elegant 'look' which is very suitable for wedding.. ^^v Oh Rachel loves white white white~~~

Recipe for this design:
QY-no-brand polish in White
The Face Shop Nail Pleasure PK101
Silver beads
dotting tool

Let's start^^

This is an optional step.
Apply the pink polish on the entire nail as a base, you may just leave it bare to show your natural nail's pink..
(yala, my hand itchy wanna add something else in, lolx..)

You need 2 coats to get the application even and get the bottle color..

Next, the fun part, heahea..
hand draw the french with any white polish of your choice.
you start from 1 side and you just drag the brush upward to make one side french, then you repeat on the other side, and you smooth it out on the middle and the side if it is needed..
I don't think i can show you exactly how-to french because it will eat my time of creating the smooth french by taking photo at the same time. :p
Maybe next time k? hehe...

Then, the easy one.. ^^

Here's where you can fix your french if you are not able to draw a nice bold white line.
you outline the french with silver beads..
You can stop here and finish up with top coat.. :)

Ok now the pattern..
This is my way, you may use yours where you feel easier to achieve the 'bridge' curve/half circle..
You start bead-ing the shape from the middle..

Then you go on on one side of the curve..
And you continue with the other side...

And you're done after sealing the beads with top coats~ Yeay~~~~ ^^v

Nails by Rachel #1 Red & Gold

Finally i let them up now~~ lolx..
This 'Nails by Rachel' is what i created on fake nails since beginning of last year when i first got fake nails and decided to start the confession to nails, haha..
It's been sticking on my wall and now they are moving here to share with you all for more inspiration and ideas..

I only make 1 of each design, but for the sake of practice and for whoever that is interested to do this nails, i will be re-doing the nail again, as a tutorial..^^

So this is the first design i drew, hope you all like it~ And i think it's suitable for coming Chinese New Year.. :)

***
This is what we gonna create today~

The Face Shop RD 303
I'm using another dark red as i've gave this color to my aunt..

Second coat..
It's really dark and looks like black with 2 coats on...

With gold flakes, stick it on the tips and make it like a french shape, with the flakes all in sequence..

Then you leave more space in between till the cuticle part..
This creates gradient and 'smudging-like' making this nails look more interesting..

The nail i did before is tend to be gradient in a 'vertical' direction, but the redo one is without any direction if you can notice it..

Top coat the make the flakes stay still, and you're done~ :)

More will be coming up and i promise i will try to update as often as possible, tehee...
^^

HalfSet of the Confession of........ stones~ hehe..

Sorry for the delay! ><
Life have been busy, i don't have time for nails and some of them are starting to chip now.. :(
I don't have class today, so i shall keep come time for here, hehe..

So here's the tutorial for the green set of nails i did awhile ago, i decided to name it the confession of stones, simply because i really can't think of any that i can relate to green color and since it's like full of rhinestones, i thought i could just make them the 'focus' on this nails, though they are, haha...

Inspiration of my creation~ Nail max^^
Credit to the magazine and the manicurist who come out with such brilliant idea~
As you can see those nails are will stones covering all up, but i don't have so many types of color and shape of stones, so mine is different from the original one..

Cheap cheap ingredient for expensive-look nails.. XP

Base coat and top coat for real nails of course
glitter green glitter polish (you can pick any color you like but dark one will do better)
Stones~~~~~~~
here i'm using the water drop shape one, round one, and moon shape one..
and not to forget beads
lastly dotting tools or orange stick to help you to pick up the stones..

*****

Fakies get ready~~~
on your mark~~~
and go~~~ haha...

First layer of green polish

Second layer of green

I forgot to capture them from the very very beginning of the stones, Rachel's mind already flew to the nails and stone but not camera, untill this, lol..
You first put the huge one on where you would like to start off,
then surround it with the silver beads,
then the red water drop stones, it's like you are drawing flower's petal..
Continue with one silver bead on every 2 red one..

Continue with one purple water drop between 2 beads..

One silver beads between every purple one again,
then you end the pattern with moon shape stones..

@v@ Kila kila^^

This is the middle finger..
same technic but with different color arrangement and smaller stone on the middle..

Pinkie... see, i forgot to capture the following steps again, and the index and ring finger, i only realise it after i've done everything, haha...

For index and ring, i only use the moon shape stones to make a circle shape by making them vertically, i hope you get what i mean by find that out on my first picture on this post, hehehe...

Top coat to protect and seal the design and stones, and you get your nice nice stunning nails^^

Some Rachel'graphy for the nails^^v

I'm so liking it and i wear it on and flood my camera with photos of them..

My face looks so yellow-ish.. ><

Hehe, this is the reflection from mirror, i though it will be something special to use this effect, because i like how the stones become from this effect, hehe...

Until next time, see ya~^^
Back to my thesis assignment.. ><
