Field of Flowers...

It has been a very cold and rainy day today, unlike the day I took this shot back in Dalat
during our trip to Vietnam.

A little Visitor...

Went down to the stables, the other day, to feed my horse and this little fellow was just outside my shed.
I just had time to grab my camera and fire off a couple of shots before he run away.

Hot Chocolate Anyone...

On our trip to Mildura, we stopped at this little cafe in Barmera for lunch.
Not only was this the best tasting hot chocolate I have had but the best looking one too.

Hallett Cove...

On Wednesday, my cousin Chrystel and I went to visit my Dad.
But first, we took a walk along the beach.

This is called the 'Sugarloaf'.
Around 280 millions years ago, this area was covered by an ice cap. It melted 270 millions years ago.
The distinct red and white layers of sediments were deposited on the bottom of  an ancient glacial meltwater lake.
The 'Sugarloaf''s shape is due to erosion by rain and wind over the last thousand years.

China Girl...

My cousin from France is currently staying with us. We haven't seen each other for over twenty years and my days have been full catching up and showing her around our little town of Adelaide and the surrounding areas.  Today we went on the Port River Cruise and we were lucky enough to see some dolphins. I will be posting some new photos next week, but in the meantime I though you might enjoy a few more of my favorite from 2011.

The Grey...Adelaide 3DE

This wonderful horse fell at the next fence.
A full contingency of helpers were on hand to help him and the rider.

The rider was ok but the horse had a leg injury which was attended to by the vet.
Cold water was use to bring his temperature down, before he was placed on the horse-float
to take him back to the stables, for further veterinary attention.
