MHKDesigns: April Challenge + Caring Crocus Release

Hello and happy April, everyone! I'm here today to share a card for this month's challenge at MHKDesigns. As you know, I've revamped how my Etsy shop will be running this year, so our challenge posts will ALSO include a monthly release set! This month's set is called...

Caring Crocus!

And here is our challenge inspiration:

This month's card's focal panel (that was interesting to type!) was created in Photoshop. Here is the completed card: 

I made the image from the Caring Crocus set white and did some watercolor brushing behind. I was inspired by the colors in this month's photo inspiration!

I chose to use the scripture from the Caring Crocus set as my sentiment. I think this is a wonderful reminder of God's love and mercy to us all!

Some yellow gingham ribbon, silver elastic cording, and a purple flower shaped button finished off this card. I matted the panel with black before adding it to the card front. I do love this card and hope you do, too! I can't wait to hear your thoughts in the comments below!

House of Cards January Challenge

Hi, all, and Happy New Year! It's time for our first challenge of the year at House of Cards, and we have a super fun inspiration photo/challenge for you! We'd like you to...

Create a mixed media project and/or use these colors!

I decided to kinda do both. I chose to work with digital images from MHKDesigns to create a digital mixed media project that uses my scriptural theme for 2018! Take a peek...

I used images from the Butterfly Wisdom, Chicken In, and Fabulously Fall digital stamp sets, as well as paper from the Rosy Posy digital paper pack for this print. I love the bold colors and can't wait to have it framed and up in my home! What do you think? I'd love to hear your comments below! :)

MHKDesigns: August 2017 Release: Light of the World

Hello, friends!  Welcome to the August 2017 Release for the MHKDesigns Etsy Shop!  We have 5 fabulous  new sets to share this month and they cover MANY occasions!  I just know you will LOVE all the creations that my team and I have to share, as well!  Today's set is called...

Light of the World

And here is my card~

Once again, I used Photoshop to create the focal panel for this card. The Light of the World image was placed on top of some colored digital work and the sentiment (also from the Light of the World set) was given a yellow shadow to help it POP! 

A few gold sequins and some gold glitter on the yellow "light" in the bulb add more shine and texture. I love it! What do you think? I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments below!

MHKDesigns: Beauty + Fur & Paws

Hi, friends!  I am back with more inspiration using digital products from my Etsy shop, MHKDesigns!  I've been designing digital sentiments for a long time, and I thought it was time to find a way to get them out to others, so I've taken the leap. :)  I am matching my sentiments with beautiful vintage digital images--I hope you'll find something you love!  

I've got a wonderful team working with me and sharing creations made with the sets I've added to the store this month, and we'll be doing releases every other month.  This month I'm releasing 10 sets, but from here on out it will be 5 every other month.  On the other months, I'll be releasing digital printable papers and other such things.
