I am really looking forward for roselle seeds giveaway, ever since we tasted the first roselle juice and jam in Tanah Merah. The first harvest of 129 roselle did not however produced really good seeds. Most of them were not really ripe, therefore seeds are a little bit small and thin. Big, full, and black seeds are what we are looking for. The second harvest was last week, purposely meant for ripe and big roselle. As the nuts cracked, there appeared great looking seeds, what we are looking for.
We reserve 20 packets of 10 seeds each to be given away as gifts for a start. I am visualising 200 seeds germinating in little pots, later transplanted in bigger pots or in the ground all over the world. Since our roselle has gone through quite a test over in Pantai Remis where it began in Rosiah's garden (my sister), Putrajaya where we grew them the last three years and now Tanah Merah, we are naming the variety as RBK, a short form for Rosiah, Bangchik and Kakdah. The post is specially made to join Hanni's Sweet Bean Gardening
