Moving eve and Moving day

We loved our time in California. We were sad to see it come to an end. The day before we moved was filled with visits by people we loved. I wish I had pictures of everyone, but I guess I was busy packing. Here are a few of the events of our last day in Cali.

Some of the things we loved about california that we do not want to forget...
Friends, family, Papa and his amazing gardens, friendly and fun neighbors, monitors for late night games, the bag game, the smell of flowers in the air, Huntington gardens and library, beautiful flowers, jasmine stars and roses, huge green trees, the beach: will rogers, Malibu and el portal, long park days, amazing beach days, laundry done days, rollerblading at Lacy park, playing at Garfield Park, Aidans Place, girls nights out, sun bathing in the parking lot, water time in the parking lot, chalk and bubbles on the steps, bikes and roller skates, walking to the football field on sundays, Ellen and her give aways, tons of museums, personal tour guides (Jane and rob), Dee dee Reeses, Mamas pizza and the garlic knots, rite aid ice cream, craftsman houses, early morning or late night runs, USC graduation and wonderful parties by Jane and Rob, Disneyland, ward talent shows, wonderful ward friends, all sorts of soccer, baseball, basketball games, dance classes (ms. Donna with Riley and Ms Susan with Talli, managing our apartment and killing a tarantula, adding to our family in Walnut Creek, Los Angeles, and Pasadena, walking in Old town Pasadena, 21 choices, the Americana, Julienne in San Marino, Juniors cafe and the Apple pan in West LA, temple lights, squirrels all over the place, the walking loop around the neighborhood, summer swim lessons with friends, popsicles in the courtyard with the Merrills, camp outs all over California, being evacuated from Big Bear, Fun visitors from all sorts of places, farmers market, strawberries straight from the vendor, watching the train at the farmers market, honey sticks in all sorts of flavors, The Gentle Barn with rescued animals, The Los Angles Zoo, The Gene Autry Museum, the carousel and horse rides in Griffith park, the list goes on and on...so many wonderful memories! We feel pretty lucky. Looking back over the seven years spent in Los Angeles, I feel like our family was always blessed with an amazing neighbor or neighbors. It would not have been the same without the people we shared these memories with. It is sad to see the time there end, but these friendships will keep on trekking.

Preston and Lauren came to say goodbye! We sure love these guys.

Nathan's special wall...it used to be up by his bunkbed.

Below is Talmage's bed...Sarah likes it too.

Just relaxing at Emma and Brooklyn's while mom and dad pack away.

One of the super sweet young women-Ashlynne, came to say goodbye with her family

Talmage and Lola making some serious headway

Sarah and Emmaline hard at work

Aunt Jane came in to save the day...she helped us when we were ready to crash and burn.

With the truck loaded and Greg on the road, I took Nathan and the kids to Nathan's last baseball game...

Coach Joe gave Nathan a ball that was signed by all of his team mates. It was a really special and sweet thing. He had such a good team, friends and coaches-pretty magical.

The Team

Preston and Nathan saying goodbye

Our last stop...Culver City. Frances just came home from the hospital with her sweet baby girl. I couldn't leave town without getting to hold her. She was beautiful.
