Friday Share and Tell--When I Don't Post

Welcome Sweet Friends

Today I have a little different Share and Tell post.   I decided it was/is a good time to let you all know 'What's up with me'. 

I'm sure you've all noticed my on again/off again schedule of posting.  Believe me it's not what I prefer.  I loved the days when I got to write a post everyday.  But those days are in the past at least for the foreseeable future. 

The main reason is the problem that we have with the inter-net. 

Yes my schedule has changed I am working more but really not that much. 

But I do have to juggle my regular posts with book reviews and keeping up with Our Holiday Journey Theme Link Parties.

Basically there are many afternoons that I can barely get a post 

written and posted.  I am dead set in my ways.  I don't write my posts in word.  I write directly right here in compose on my blog. 

When I am adding photo's I am usually switching between the blog and Pinterest.  I have a locked Pinterest board where I store all my personal photo's for use here on the blog.  

My computer is very old and very slow.  It seems to have a mind of it's own.  Lately it won't save photo's at all!  Don't know what is up with that.  

Unfortunately there are days that I only managed to get a review written.  They require lots of photos and links and such and take a long time to post.  Some days it can take hours to get one post written!  It's so frustrating!

Back to the subject of book reviews.  Beginning July all my reviews will be over here . . .

Beginning in July My Journey Back will be back to normal posting as long as the internet cooperates.  My Happy Homemaker Monday posts, Wordless Wednesday, Thankful Thursday and my Friday Share and Tell.  On Tuesday who know's what I'll write/post about.  You'll have to come over for the surprise!

I will be continuing to review Litfuse and Baker Publishing here.

These are mainly Christian fiction, devotionals and lifestyle books.

And maybe getting ready for a wonderful Easter weekend! 

I've been a busy girl.  

Working and keeping our Cabin Cozy. 

Today I am working on making over the mantle

I have a few elements in place. 

It's a work in progress...

The foundation elements are in place.  I have the primitive chippy mirror in the center

A group of silver painted wooden candles anchor the left end

This work in progress looks a little silly right now

I guess your wondering why the Santa photo!

I was just auditioning frames and choosing which ones I'll use

Then I will dig through photo's and switch them out.

Good Morning Dear Friends

I do hope this day finds you happy and well, and enjoying this lovely month of March.

I apologize for my lack of posts the last couple of weeks. 

I have had such problems with the internet.  

I've been a busy girl.  Working and keeping our Cabin Cozy. 

A few friends are visiting for the season.

I am preparing to send off Easter presents to the grand kids.

The 16 y.o. boy will get a book and candy the 8 y.o. girl gets this pretty bunny and candy.

For spring I pulled out this pot that was my daddy's to display an orchid.  This is my view is I write.  

And

 I've been planting.  
But I can't show you now you'll have to. . .

Baking Cookies With A Few Friends Part 1

Everyday can be a holiday! 

Sometimes just baking cookies makes the day very special.

That's just what we did the other day.  

We invited a few friends.

It was a warm and sunny day here in Texas.

Our friends from the north were dressed for winter weather.

It was such a fun and Fabulous day we even had a party crasher.

He promised not to eat all the cookies so we let him stay.

I did catch him stuffing a few in his pocket!  

I guess he needed some for his loooong nap.

With all the guests settled we got into making cookies!

With so many friends to feed and entertain we choose refrigerator slice and bake cookies.  

First we read the instructions.

We started with a few marshmellows to keep everyone happy while we baked.

Then we got busy...

   

Ever so carefully using a ruler we sliced the cookies.

Our friends waited ever so patiently.

Everyone got a special glass for milk.

And then we waited.  

And waited. 

And waited.

For those cookies to bake.
