#44 Only 23 days...

...until December 1st! Which means I can put my Christmas decorations up with the other half complaining!

I have a finish and a half to share tonight.

First up was the skiing Polar Bear I finished a while ago,I finally got round to adding some backing fabric and turned it in to a little ornament for the tree. I wasn't sure if it would be too large or not, but luckily it turned out a perfect size.

The finish is less than perfect, finishing has never been my strong point. But I'm happy enough. Forgive the bad lighting, Winter time means I don't see daylight during the week!

Secondly I finished my gingerbread man...and about 20 minutes later accidently butchered him with my scissors...nooo! Much more and he would have lost his head! So, I had to improvise. I decided to back him on the some "crazy patchwork" as I call it, using all my festive looking fabric and felt scraps.

Now I am stuck, I don't really know what to do with him. I fear he may go in to the cupboard until further notice until I get a bright idea.

Oh well.

Now to decide what to work on next...

Have a great week everyone - hopefully I will have more progress on one of my projects to share at the weekend.

#43 November?!

Seriously, where has this year gone? But on the bright side I can now start to get excited over Christmas!

I hope anyone who was affected by the Storm on the East Coast has made it through ok, I saw some live pictures and it looked terrible - all it takes here is a couple CM of snow for all hell to break loose!

Also, I hoped everyone enjoyed Halloween - its not really a big deal for me, I guess its because by the time I get home from work all the kids have been and I miss them all. Ah well.

Stitching wise I worked some more on the Sweet Treats SAL - I managed to get both legs and his body done. hopefully by the end of the weekend he won't be headless!

The postman was very kind to me this week. At the start of the week my chart arrived which I won at dear Thea's Blog. Over the past months she has been doing reviews on a Saturday then holding some giveaways for the items involved. I was lucky enough to win this and the other half has already decided it will fit perfectly in our "Geek Room".

Then later in the week another package arrived for me. I was confused at first as I knew I wasn't expecting anything so I opened it and sweet sweet Nia had sent me this!

No reason why, other than to make me smile - which is certainly did! I commented a while back how cute these were and she must of remembered. It even got a smile out of the other half who normally just rolls his eyes at anything crafty!

So I just want to say Thea and Nia - Thank you!!

I also sent off my mystery Giveaway to McKenna but silly me forgot to take a photo of it...only realising once I had sealed the envelope...ha! Once I know the gift has been received then I will enlighten the rest of you (and hopefully McKenna will take a photo!)

I will update again at the end of the weekend. I hope you all have a great one :)

#42 Where has this Weekend gone?!

After a day of decorating yesterday I finally got chance to settle down with some stitching this afternoon. I continued work on my Sweet Treats SAL. Didn't get a whole lot done, but progress is progress.

Sorry for the Blurry Picture!

My Stitching Stash has increased somewhat over the last two days thanks to the HAED Rakoween Event on Facebook. I think as it tied in so nicely with Heaven and Earth's Sale which is going on at the moment people went a little RAK crazy!

I now have these four beauties added to my collection. Envy and the Montage are HUGE. When I will get round to even starting them I don't even know yet!

Mini Starlight

Hannah Lynn Montage

My dear sweet Nana asked my what I would like for Christmas and my Birthday this year (which is the week after Christmas), she is to thank for my crafty side so when I suggested the threads for one of my charts she agreed - Yay! So I have ordered what I need for Mini The Black. This means I now have three sat ready and waiting for the new year!

Hope you all have a great week!

#39 IHSW and Giveaway Reminder!

I must admit this weekend was rather dismal when it came to hermitting and stitching...although some did get done, which is still an improvement than the last few weeks.

I think my major problem was I couldn't decide on what to work so I ended up starting THREE new projects - like I need more!

First up was both my SALS. Sweet treats was fine, and I can see this coming along quickly once I get back in to my stitching mind.

Dressmakers Daughter proved more of a challenge. This is my first project I have ever done on Linen so I am plodding along slowly. Fingers crossed once I get the hang of it I'll be fine. The first section is supposed to be done by the end of the month - not very likely!

Finally I worked on something different. A group of stitchers on Facebook seem to also be having trouble locating their stitching bug so have decided to do a HAL (Hook a long) in the form of some latch hook rugs (insert smutty joke about been hookers here).

I have never done this before but I must say so far I am enjoying it, its really easy and good for those days when  your head just can't get in to stitching.

But in the grand scheme of things I still have a long way to go...

#33 Happy Weekend!

Ahhh Friday evening, my favourite time of the week, made even sweeter this week as I have no work now until the 8th of October, hurray!

I have no stitching to show you, only goodies. As suspected the release of Warcraft has taken all my time on an evening as I simply must play!

So, both my parcels arrived for my SAL's this week - I can't wait to get started!

Fingers Crossed by the end of the weekend I will have more progress to share with you all.

Have a great weekend everyone!

#31 SAL time!

This week I have signed up for two SALs! I rather excited as I have never done one before so hoping it will be fun :)

The first is been hosted by Fiore and is a year long SAL for Mirabilia Dressmaker's Daughter. Sign up is still available if you would like to join!

The second is something smaller which is hosted by Agneta for some Christmas Gingerbread men - how cute!

So I think this afternoon will be spent doing some shopping for the materials then getting on with something else until they arrive - what that will be yet, I don't know. I will update tomorrow though once I decide!
