Tea Time Valentine

      A new week and a new challenge at Pammie's Inky Pinkies, where our theme is always "Anything Goes" except on the occasional 5th Monday in a month (which will be NEXT Monday, as a matter of fact!)  :-D  Our sponsor this week is Gerda Steiner Designs, and they generously supplied images for the DT to use.  I chose this darling little Mouse in a Cup and turned it into another Valentine card.

     I colored with my ProMarkers, then paper pieced the tea cup with a dp scrap.  I cut the image with a stitched die from Memory Box.  The dp for the background probably came from a Paper Shack stack.  I added the sheer ribbons in Thistle and Tan for a bit of contrast and also because they were colors, along with Tickle Me Pink, in the Butterfly Challenge.

Cup of Tea

     This cute image is the freebie at The Outlawz Progressive Challenge this month and it's from the Paper Shelter.  It's been a long time since I did anything steam punk so this was a bit of fun.  I also wanted to see what I could do with larger scraps of paper, card stock, and ribbons.  The background dp had been used before.  The larger piece had a circle cut out of it which I covered with the image and there was a narrow strip which I laid next to the larger piece, then covered the seam with the ribbon.  The image was printed onto a scrap of white CS, as was the sentiment.

Tea Party Hello

     A quick post to show you something a little bit different from me this morning.  I got a few new dies in the mail last week and decided that I wanted to try a card with all die cuts and these happen to be Tutti Designs dies.

    It's also a card made from all scraps and both the pink CS and the dp are the last scraps I had of those particular papers. The butterflies are the drop out pieces from the teacups.  The "Hello" sentiment was cut 4 times; 3 out of a white scrap and once from the deep purple background but the 'hole' that left is covered by the dp strip.  I stacked them to give dimension and texture.
