20th July - Monster

I am still in Monster mode here and the idea for this little monster was given to me by Nikki the magic lady, It was made from 3 balloons and a bit of scrap, 1 x 260 for the main body and head, a 160 for the arms and another 160 for the horns, the bit of scrap was for the eyes,

17th July - Monster Eyes Two

Here is another Monster eyes hairband, I originally just had the purple balloon on there and imagined they were ears but now I have added the eyes I think they have become wings, in fact I think it looks like a stingray or something, the thing with ballooning is that sometimes you start out making 1 thing and by the end it comes out as something totally different.

7th July - Loch Ness Hairband

While at a recent balloon event I purchased some hair bands, I have never made a balloon hair band before and wanted to give it a go, I saw a few hair band designs made at the balloon event including one made by the multi award winning balloon modeller Colin which was similar to this head band design.

My Loch Ness hairband is made from 3 balloons, I started by creating the blue water from a 260 using a similar technique to the pinch line technique except I only used 1 balloon rather than 2. The monster is made from a 160 and his little Scottish hat is a scrap of a 260.
