I have to tell you I had so really awesome things to do this last week. I was so excited, then the dreaded pink eye hit our house. What I mean by our house is that my little boy, my hubbie and my self all had it! It was not very funny. Needless to say, the only thing that I got done was cleaning, laundry and dishes!
Let's just say I have never done so much laundry in my life! It was awful.
This next week I would like to get some more stuff done. I am really excited to get some of these things done.
I have about a million things that need to get done! So I need to have accountable. I am listing the off in no order the things I need to get done.
- File Folder Games for Church
- Flash Card Games for Church
- My hubbie's hunting quilt. Since he is going in three weeks! Yickes!
- Orgainzing the front room so that I can show you the cool things that I have done!
- Get ready for a yard sale
- Not spend any money
- Give everyone their stuff back
- Decorate for Halloween
- File a bunch of papers
- Find my son's fall clothes
- Read my magazine's so I can pass them on.
Yes, this is only the really important things that I need to get done. Plus, I need to sleep, be a wife and a mother. This is not going to be hard at all. HA! I hope that I will get this done in about three weeks! Crazy, but doable! I will be updating you through this whole process.
Wish me luck!
Last night after we put the little one to bed I got a bee in my bonnet. I cleaned up the floor and then I walked past my sad craft room. Then then I got the bright idea to clean it out. Now mind you this is like 10 at night. I have to show you how sad it looks!
These pictures are awful! I am sorry we live in the basement. So I started to clean it out to that I could organize. I love that feeling of cleaning something and know thing it will be amazing in the end.
I wanted to list the things that I planned for this room. You can see the frame that is sticking out, that will be painted turquoise. I am not sure if it will be a dark or light. Then I am going to cover a piece of sheet metal with dark brown burlap over it. I am super excited. Then I have baby food jars that I will be spraying the lid and then putting a magnet on the bottom and using them for containers on my magnet board.
My hubbie will be building me a table that will fold down when it is not in use! This space is a little small, but mine none the less. I am super excited to be able to have a little retreat!
I will show you hopefully next week how I have organized my awesome craft room. Hope to see you soon!
Have you ever felt the feeling of standing in a room that you have been cleaning for days and it is almost there? I felt that feeling last night. I was in "one of those moods," you know the one where you feel as though you just drank a 64 oz of Dr. Pepper and you can't sleep. I have been so stressed that I haven't had any desire to unpack our front room. Well last night was a great night and I got tons done! I can't wait till I can decorate my house so that I can show you all.
I have so many fun craft ideas that I am so excited to share. I also have found four websites that you have can print pictures off and all you have to do is pay shipping. For 25 pictures you can go to Snapfish and York. Then for 50 you can go to Fuji and Kodak. You just have to sign up for an account. I have done this and shipping is like $1.99. So it is really reasonable.
I don't know if I am the only one, but I don't think so. I have the cleaning bug. Now I have to take advantage of that because I don't always have that. For some reason the last couple days I have had it. I want to clean everything. I did all the laundry, including the sheets and rugs. Tomorrow is the blankets. Part of the reason for all the cleaning was I had the flu last week and I don't want my little family to get it.
Long story short I wanted to show the difference of a quick clean. You know the kind that only take a few mins. But somedays just feel like they take an hour so you don't do them.
We have an older home, with tons of awkward storage. So I have had to be really creative how put things. We have a tiny utility closet. So everything must be just right or it is a mess!
Here is the before:
Here is the after:
Now I know that is still looks like a tight squeeze, but everything has a place and it is such a blessing to have it! I hope that encourages you to tackle those little things that will help you feel a little more organized.
