Precious Emmy

Hi There!! Wow, it's been a while since i posted. I apologize for that, i've been trying to get some projects done before the Thanksgiving holiday, since i doubt i will have much time to craft. but i've got lots to show, just can't as of yet. I do however have a card i made using Precious Emmy from The Character Cafe. I'm using her for two challenges, the first is Flutterby Wednesday at Danni's Dreams, in addition to butterflies and fairies she has added Angels for the holidays which makes me happy because i LOVE Angels. So Thank You Danni. The other challenge is none other than The Character Cafe's Feature Friday challenge. This week we have a sketch from Guest Designer Maria Bell. I love Maria's sketches, and i needed a sketch so......, Well, that's all i have for today. Don't forget to stop by The Character Cafe for more inspiration, the DT has more fabulous creations to show you. I thank you for stopping by and visiting. Have a Wonderful weekend!!!
Hugs,
Rachel :0)

TCC's Feature Friday Challenge #2

Hello Friends, Well it's Friday and that means the weekend is near YaY, it also means it's Feature Friday Challenge #2 at The Character Cafe. My very talented team mate Diane is the host this week and has a fabulous sketch for you here. Since this is my week off i joined in the Flutterby Wednesday Challenge at Danni's Dreams. This week's challenge is an open challenge so as long as our creation has a butterfly or fairy on it, we are good to go. I chose to use Fairy Belle from The Character Cafe. isn't she precious. she comes with an extra pair of wings a little larger than her so i colored and glittered them up and pop dotted Belle inbetween them to give her wings dimension. of coarse i added lots of glitter to Belle, the way i see it what's a fairy without all her sparkle. My sentiment is from AmyR's Stamps by C.C.Designs. Well thank you for stopping by and i hope you will visit my wonderful TCC sisters (links on my sidebar) and take a peek at their wonderful creations this week. I also hope you will play along with the TCC sketch challenge, remember although we love when you use a TCC image it is not required, as long as you follow the theme each week. We just want to see your wonderful creations and HAVE FUN!! I hope you all have a wonderful day!!

Swing by Sometime!

Good Morning, I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. I managed to get two challenges done today with this one card. Over at Danni's Dreams the Flutterby Wednesday challenge is to use a fairy or a butterfly and add sparkle!! woohoo Sparkle who doesn't love sparkle. I used Lily from Pink Cat Studio, isn't she precious. I tried to add sparkle with my glitter pens and glitter everywhere i could even on the Dp. (you can click on the pictures to get a better look.) I am also using this card for the challenge over at the Paper Makeup Stamps blog. the challenge is to get punchy. Using punches or die cuts and Nestabilities DO NOT count!!! can you believe it! so i grabbed my flower punch and circle punches from SU! for my sentiment and wahla i'm done. Well i hope you all have a wonderful day, and thank you for stopping by, I love it when you do. :0)
Hugs,
Rachel

FBW Happy Birthday Challenge

Hi friends, today's card is for the Flutter By Wednesday Challenge over at Danni's Dreams. I would like to take this time to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Danni, She is having a month long birthday bash and lots of candy, you must check it out. so it was only fitting that the challenge this week was to make a birthday card using a butterfly or a fairy. I used C.C.Designs Angels Everywhere digi. I used the eraser on my paint shop pro to take the halo off, making her into a fairy. The present is from the No Peeking stamp set from Ctmh, i pop dotted it to my fairy. I also put a pop dot under her wing to give it dimension. I added some glitter to her wing for some sparkle. For my banner i used the Happy Birthday set also from ctmh, and tried to give it the look of waving in the air. don't know how well that shows. remember you can always click on the image to get a closer look. Well that's it for me today. Thanks so much for coming by.

Hugs,

Rachel

It's been CASE'd!!

Hi Friends! I hope you all had a great weekend. We got lots n lots of rain, so it was great!! we sooo needed it. Well anyway today i was able to get my card for this week's Flutterby Wednesday Challenge done. For this challenge we had to CASE one of the DT members cards. I immediately went to Chris Olsen's blog and cased this card. I just LOVE her beatiful card's and creations. I did change the colors since i didn't have the same colors she used and my butterfly is different but i tried to stay as close to her original as possible. Well i hope you enjoy it, and thanks so much for visiting.

Flutterby Wednesday #67

This week's flutterby challenge over at Danni's Dreams was to make a scene using little or no Dp. Now i really liked this challenge because i'm more of a " if the image doesn't have a scene in it, it ain't getting one from me" person. I even have scene sets and i think this is the first time they've really been put to use. this challenge was a lot of fun so i think i will try to make my own scenes a little more often. The second half of the challenge was little or no Dp. now when i first read the challenge i must have skipped over Little because i thought it was just no Dp. boy, and i LOVE my dp. but all i can say is thank goodness for embossing folders.lol~ but these are the challenges i like because i tend to get in a rut, so the ones i think there is just no way i can do this, those are the ones i try to make myself do. so thanks Heather!! okay enought jibber jabber, onto the details. for my card i used all stamps from C.C.Designs. the sooo cute Swiss Pixie Gretel, my little birdie came from the sugarplums Olivia's Birdies set. The fence is from the Gingersnaps Spring thing set, and last but not least the little bits of grass is from the Sugarplum scenery set. To make my scene i stamped Gretel first and then stamped her again on a piece of scrap paper, cut her out, and placed her over my original image. then i stamped my fence over her, took the mask off my gretel and wahla. then i just added some clouds, pop dotted my birdie to the fence and added some small pieces of grass. i sponged my sky and grass with ink and a cotton ball to give them color, i matted my image to a square scallop nestability, placed it over my embossed panel that i made using the floral screen embossing folder, added some flowers and some prisma glitter to Gretel's wing and done!! Well, that's it for today, thanks so much for taking a peek. Have a Great Day!!

Rachel
