Ballot Drop Boxes In King County
While we no longer visit polling places to vote, King County provides "Ballot Drop Boxes". They not only save us a stamp, but pretty much assure that our ballots will have fewer handlers. They won't be lost in the mail. For locations around the county, click here. By the way, don't forget to vote today!

Bob Rosenberger Announces Candidacy
Deputy County Assessor Bob Rosenberger announced his candidacy for King County Assessor today before the King County Democratic Central Committee. Although the job is now non-partisan, Rosenberger is well known as a Democrat. Also running for the seat vacated by the resignation of Scott Noble is Seattle Port Commissioner Lloyd Hara.

Ron Sims Appointed To HUD

King County Executive Ron Sims has been appointed Deputy Secretary of Housing And Urban Development by President Obama. Sims has been King County Executive for 12 years, the first African-American to hold that position.

King County Prosecutor Norm Maleng Dies
Norm Maleng, Republican King County Prosecutor since 1978 has died. Maleng collapsed at the University Of Washington campus this evening.
