WORLD PREMIERE VIDEO - LAND OF TALK
Land of Talk have unveiled the music video for “Quarry Hymns,” the second single from their recently released new album Cloak and Cipher (Saddle Creek).
Check out the new video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch? v=8Q8KSJ_zyzk
Directed by Land of Talk regular Joseph Yarmush, the video was filmed at the Ukranian Federation in Montreal’s Mile End and produced by Petros Kolyvas. Using the theme of “Cloak and Cipher” as a springboard, the video evolved over the course of shooting much as the creation of the song itself, incorporating imagery from the songs lyrics which were penned brilliantly by Land of Talk’s Elizabeth Powell.

WORLD PREMIERE VIDEO - KT TUNSTALL
"Fade Like A Shadow" is the latest music video from singer KT Tunstall. I like this video and this song is pretty catchy. I saw her a little over a month ago at the Hotel Cafe and it was more of an acoustic thing, which I like, but I must say I like the more upbeat KT!

WORLD PREMIERE VIDEO - CRASH TEST DUMMIES
Wow, it's been a minute since we have heard anything from this band. Well, maybe they released some stuff in the past few years, but I haven't heard anything out of them.
Anyway, here is a brand new video from the Crash Test Dummies. It's called, "And It's Beautiful off their upcoming new record, OOOH LA LA.
**NOTE** It's been 6 years since last release!
The Crash Test Dummies continue to garner critical praise upon the release of Oooh la la!, their first record in six years, out now on Deep Fried Records. Lauded by the Huffington Post as “intelligent and humorous,” the Washington Post notes that the “quirky instrumentation certainly makes for a group that's enjoying itself.” The album features frontman and driving creative force Brad Roberts—best known for 1993’s platinum-selling, Grammy-nominated God Shuffled His Feet and the ubiquitous hit “Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmm”—teaming up with co-writer and producer Stewart Lerman (Antony & the Johnsons, The Roches) to write and record 11 tracks conceptualized using `70s-era analog musical toys.
The seeds for Oooh la la! were first planted when Roberts and Lerman became infatuated with vintage analog musical toys, particularly one manufactured by the Mattel company called the Optigan (an acronym for “optical organ”). Using celluloid discs, the Optigan projects the sounds of other instruments with different sets of keys triggering chords and individual notes. The discs, with names like “Nashville,” “Swing It!” and “Guitar Boogie,” rotate to produce different arrays of sounds. The process is eerily similar to the digital sampling that is so common today, but the antiquated analog system produces quite a different effect. “Because we wrote using these discs, we were inspired to do things that we wouldn’t have done,” Roberts points out. “I don’t write big band style, but all of a sudden I had this big band [on disc], so I’m writing in a genre that I normally wouldn’t be writing in. I can’t say enough about how great it is to write on these toys.”
The Crash Test Dummies first rose to prominence while based in their hometown of Winnipeg, Manitoba in 1991 with their Juno Award-winning debut album, The Ghosts that Haunt Me, featuring their first hit single “Superman’s Song.” Their 1993 breakout record God Shuffled His Feet has sold over five and a half million copies worldwide and the single “Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmm” peaked at #4 on Billboard’s Hot 100 Chart. Oooh la la! is the band’s ninth record, following 2004’s Songs of the Unforgiven.

WORLD PREMIERE VIDEO - TWIN SHADOW
Twin Shadow 'Slow' (NSFW) from Twin Shadow on Vimeo.
Modeled after Calvin Klein’s super-creepy 1995 porno audition ads, dreamy-eyed new waver Twin Shadow’s positioning himself as an unlikely sex symbol, singing longing, desperate love tracks while still letting his denim vest be totally objectified like it’s a pair of gams. Directed by Alex Markman, live drumming hasn’t been this sensual since “The Spirit of Radio.”

WORLD PREMIERE VIDEO - BAND OF HORSES
Band of Horses have a brand new video for their single, "Laredo." This song is off their latest album, INFINITE ARMS. It was filmed in Pioneertown, CA, not a shot was shot in Laredo!, the video features a collage of video desert scenes -- open highways, cacti, mountains, stars -- that accompany a loose plot about a man seeking his lost love, a woman in a bright red sundress. Footage of the quintet playing the melancholy track at local watering hole "Pappy and Harriet's" is intercut.

WORLD PREMIERE VIDEO - NEEDTOBREATHE
NEEDTOBREATHE is touring in support of their current album The Outsiders, and just performed at Bonnaroo this past Thursday.
The South Carolina-based rock outfit consists of brothers Bear and Bo Rinehart and childhood friends Seth Bolt and Joe Stillwell. The Outsiders was released last summer to universal critical acclaim and a top 20 debut on the Billboard 200. Be captivated by their ability to mend warm, organic textures to their powerful brand of skyscraping, heartfelt rock. With The Outsiders, NEEDTOBREATHE has truly come into their own, seamlessly blending ambient, arena-ready soundscapes with a decidedly Southern sensibility.
In 2006 the band released their major label debut, Daylight, and had a relentless, national touring schedule. NEEDTOBREATHE returned the following year with The Heat, which went to #2 on the Billboard's Top Heatseekers chart thanks to the top 10 Triple A hit single, More Time. The song was also featured on the soundtrack to the motion picture P.S. I Love You, where it was the most downloaded track on the collection.

WORLD PREMIERE VIDEO - THE HUNDRED IN THE HANDS
Brooklyn duo The Hundred in the Hands have premiered a video for new track ‘Tom Tom’ (directed by Ben Crook) today at the Fader, as well as giving away the track “Ghosts” (the first song the duo ever wrote together as The Hundred in the Hands) at their website, http://thehundredinthehands.com/.
Both tracks are taken from their EP This Desert, released last week and described as “an absolute pleasure” by Drowned in Sound and given “two thumbs up” from Time Out London. You can sample the EP here (with a little help from Fab 5 Freddy and Grandmaster Flash): http://bit.ly/9JvqJj
The band follow the EP with a slew of worldwide tour dates and festival slots, kick-starting things with a US tour in June supporting Golden Filter before moving through Europe and the UK towards the release of their debut album in the Autumn.
