KT TUNSTALL LAUNCHING FALL TOUR
Multi-platinum singer-songwriter and Grammy Award nominee KT Tunstall will launch a headlining tour of North America this fall that begins on October 31st in Portland, OR and criss-crosses the country throughout November before culminating in a show in New York City at Terminal 5 on December 1st. New York’s Hurricane Bells will appear as support on all dates, which are listed below. Tickets go on-sale beginning Sept 10th.
The tour will support her brand-new album Tiger Suit, which will be released by Virgin Records on October 5th, 2010. Recorded in January at Berlin’s world-famous Hansa Studios, Tiger Suit heralds the beginning of a new musical adventure for Tunstall. Organic instrumentation is blended with dance-friendly textures, the results of which she has dubbed “Nature Techno” to encapsulate the album’s collision of raw, upfront rootsiness and sleek electronic textures.
KT will perform the album’s first single, “Fade Like A Shadow,” October 5th on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. The single was released to all digital retailers on August 10th and is already Top 20 at Triple A radio. Watch the video, directed by Paul Minor, here: http://www.youtube.com/kttunstallofficial#p/a/f/0/yiYx9glnt6M. In addition, Tunstall's performance on NPR’s World CafĂ© program will air on Friday, October 1st, a Yahoo! Maximum Performance will run in early October, and a live session for CBS/Last.FM’s Summer Concert Series will be posted on September 9th at http://lastfmdiscover.radio.com/shows/summer-sessions/.
Tiger Suit was produced by Jim Abbiss, known for his work with Arctic Monkeys, Adele, Kasabian, Editors, and many more. Tunstall co-wrote several tracks with A-list songwriter/producers Linda Perry and Greg Kurstin, as well as her long-time collaborators Martin Terefe and Jimmy Hogarth, both of whom contributed to Tunstall’s previous albums, 2007’s Top 10 Drastic Fantastic and its predecessor, 2006’s platinum-seller Eye To The Telescope.

KT TUNSTALL LIVE AT THE HOTEL CAFE
The UK's singer/songwriter KT Tunstall is back, and back with a new addition to her already amazing sound. Before Musicbleep headed up to the Pacific Northwest, we had one last night at the Hotel Cafe (one of our favorite places, as you should know by now). And what a finale evening as residents of LA. The small, intimate venue was completely packed with music enthusiasts and industry types, all there with a common bond, Ms. Tunstall.
It has been a while since her last release, but she has a whole new album and sound, that will be out for you to take a listen soon. Keeping with her unique style and approach, she definitely added a surprising element to her usually acoustic ways. KT bonded singer/songwriter sounds with electronic dance beats and executed it very well. I have to admit, as first, I was a little taken back, but soon grew to love and dance to songs off of her upcoming album, Tiger Suit, which comes out very soon....October 5th to be exact, so be ready, and I'm sure there is a tour to follow. It was KT solo that night, but you would have thought she had a full on band. If she plays your city, make sure you check her out! You won't be sorry - she's a delight to see live!
You can check out some of her new songs and read up on her latest news at www.myspace.com/kttunstall. Songs from TIGER SUIT that I'm really feeling are: "Push That Knot Away," "Glamour Puss," "Difficulty" and "Fade Like A Shadow"...oh, and (Still A)Weirdo" - probably my favorite off this album! It's a great album, I can't wait for you all to hear it!
