A few more Thank You cards

Here are the cards I talked about in this post:

I love this Simply Marbleous dsp that was available during SAB. I used each of the colors along with the Painted Texture embossing folder and die cuts from Honeybee Blooms and Amazing Thanks. I really like how these turned out and am hoping each recipient likes theirs as well.

Thanks for visiting and I hope you are all staying healthy and safe!

Thank You cards

I have been on a bit of a tear lately making Thank You cards. Here are some samples:

I used the stamp set Flowing Flowers and love both of these color pallettes. The top one uses Bermuda Bay, Magenta Madness, Fresh Freesia and Granny Apple Green. The bottom one uses Coastal Cabana, Mango Melody, Poppy Parade and Granny Apple Green. I don't know that I have ever put these colors together before, but for these it just really worked. I made multiples of each card and they will go in my stash to be sent out as needed. The card base on the upper one is Bermuda Bay with a layer of Magenta Madness and the bottom one is Coastal Cabana with a layer of Mango Melody. I stamped the Thank You on the bottom one before I ran it through the BS with an embossing folder. The top one was embossed and then a die cut Thanks was added. I stamped the flower cluster with the leaves on the insides matching the ink of the card base. I never have enough thank you cards on hand and this will beef up the stash! I have put the other set of Thank You cards in the mail and will post those in a day or two.

Thanks for visiting and I hope you are all staying healthy and safe!

Sassy Stampers Card Camp - March 2022

Here's the card I am thinking of making for the Sassy Stampers Card Camp in March:
Many of you know of my love/hate relationship with sailing and so this stamp set/punch bundle had my name all over it! I got my inspiration from this card by Brian King. I changed up the colors and the dsp and I really like it.

Here's more information on this fun camp:

Playing with retired DSP

I have been playing around with some retired DSP and colored images and these are a couple of my attempts:

I had such a fun time creating these. I used a lot of paper scraps in the process too! The papers are from a retired 6x6 set that I cannot now remember the name of, but they are too gorgeous to let them languish in a box! The image is a digital image and I cannot remember where I got it, but I love it! I colored it in these three colors and also in Poppy Parade, Gorgeous Grape, Bermuda Bay and Balmy Blue using Stampin' Blends. I used Mango Melody for the flower centers and Granny Apple Green for the leaves. I love using the Stampin' Blends as you get a light and a dark version of each color and they match and blend perfectly.

I recently had occasion to make some thank you cards to send to folks that sent me sympathy wishes on the passing of my mother on January 25. The thoughtfulness of these caring individuals was greatly appreciated and I will show those cards once they have been mailed out.

Thanks for visiting and I hope you are all staying healthy and safe!

Crazy Card Chics Card Kits to Go - February 2022

Here's my card for this month's CCC card kits to go:

Inside:
The card base is Pool Party with a layer of white and then a layer using the SAB paper pack called Simply Marbelous that you can get for FREE with a $50 order from Stampin' Up! There are 8 sheets each of 6 double sided designs. It's absolutely gorgeous! The sentiment on the front is from this month's stamp offering from Technique Junkies. I love the 1st of the month when they showcase that month's new stamps. I punched out a couple of hearts from some retired Dazzling Diamonds glimmer paper and added a couple of rhinestone jewels. The inside is a digital stamp from Lily of the Valley that I colored using the RGB codes for Pool Party in my graphic editing software and added a sentiment. The corners are all punched using a ½" Crop-a-Dile corner chomper.

This is a great camp and all participants really seem to like it. Here are the details in case you want to participate:

Here's the information about this really fun camp:
And a reminder:

Stamp Camp North - January 2022

Here's my card for this month at Stamp Camp North:
It's a somewhat modified z-fold card. Somewhat modified in that I wanted the inserted z-fold piece to be somewhat larger than the standard z-fold card. I used some of the absolutely gorgeous papers that were available in the Eden's Garden Suite. It unfortunately is not available any more, but a girl can always hope - right?

Here is the information on this camp:
This is always such a fun time and I encourage everyone to join us if you are able!

Rose Hill Grange Stamp Camp is now CRAZY CARD CHICS!

Since we have moved from the Rose Hill Grange and won't be going back, it was time for a name change. We are now Crazy Card Chics and we will be continuing our virtual camp and providing fun card kits for all participants. Here is the card from me this month:

Since our card making will fall after Valentine's Day next month, I thought I would do a fun Valentine for everyone. The image is from Technique Junkies and can be colored as much or as little as each person decides. Possibilities are endless!

I used a Poppy Parade marker to color in the hearts and mounted it on a piece of black cardstock and put it on a Poppy Parade card base. The sentiment is computer generated and the little white hearts are from SU last year. Don't know yet what I will put on the inside.

Here's the information about this camp:

Catalog Swap - January, 2022

Here is my card for our January-June mini catalog swap:
A group of demonstrators (lead by the infamous Cathy Hansen) get together every time SU puts out a new catalog and do a card swap. Everyone knows my love of ladybugs, so it was no surprise that I had to do a card using the wonderful new stamp/punch bundle Hello Ladybug. This was a very fun card to make and I used more than just the Hello Ladybug bundle. I also used a saying from Flowering Tulips and the little flower and mushroom stamp from Friends of the Forest on the inside. I also used some of the new Brushed Brass butterflies and some Matte Black Dots!

I always look forward to seeing everyones' cards from these swaps. There are some really talented demonstrators that participate.

Thanks for visiting and I hope you are all staying healthy and safe!

Merry Christmas!

I want to wish all my friends that celebrate it a very Merry Christmas and to everyone celebrating a different holiday - Happiest of Holidays to you.

This blog will be 14 years old next week. It has seen me through so much - new grandchildren, DH retiring, ME retiring, the sale of one boat and the purchase of another, a long trip sailing to Florida from MA, another long trip waiting and watching while DH solo sailed the boat from Florida to MA. I have lost many family members and friends as well.

We are weathering the pandemic and will celebrate tomorrow with family. I hope that you and yours are happy and healthy.

Thanks for visiting and I hope you are all staying healthy and safe!

Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween!
Happy Halloween to all my friends who celebrate it. We are hoping for some ghoulish visitors tonight and will be pandemic ready with pre-packaged candy socially distanced using a camera to talk to our visitors. It's kind of cold out there today and they are saying there's a chance of snow flurries - perfect Colorado Halloween weather!

I have an inordinate amount of catching up to do here and will get to it as I can. Suffice it to say I have kept myself really busy with both live and virtual camps as well as some in person classes. DH is home now and so things will slowly start getting back to normal (whatever that is). See you soon!

Thanks for visiting and I hope you are all staying healthy and safe!
