Our sponsor this week is Tiffany Doodles and they have so very many wonderful floral images! These dahlias fit perfectly in a nestie and were just a joy to color. Tiffany Doodles is also having a sale! Buy 3 and get 1 free!

Kaboodle Doodles Challenge #70
Well it's time for a new challenge on the Kaboodle Doodles challenge blog. This week we are challenging you to create something using mystical characters - fairies, angels, unicorns, gnomes - use your imagination! Here's my card:
I am totally out of my comfort zone on this one, but it was really fun. I colored the image with Copics and then painted some shimmer paint on her hair and dress. You can't see it very well in the picture, but it's very sparkly and fun! I have a terrible time using 7 Gypsies designer paper - it is sooooooo hard to cover up the great paper with an image!
Our sponsor this week is WhoopsiDaisy Designs and the winner will receive their choice of 2 sheets (8 images) from WhoopsiDaisy Designs.
Lots of fun goings on this week - new stuff from SU to play with - look for some projects coming up next week! Fun, fun, fun stamp camp coming up on Saturday, June 11 with the North Area Stampers - it's summer vacation time and this will be our last camp until fall. We are going all out and having a luau!!!! If you are interested in details, shoot me an email and I will get a flyer out to you. This promises to be one of the premiere events of the season and you won't want to miss it!
Thanks for visiting!

Sentimental Sunday and Kaboodle Doodles
In an attempt to get a little caught up, I am combining these two challenge posts. The first card, is not a card but a bookmark! The challenge this week on Sentimental Sundays is Anything BUT a Card. Please be sure to stop by and check out the marvelous creations of the design team and meet all our new design team members while you are there!!!
The butterfly image is from a new (to me) digital company called Digi Design House. They have some wonderful images and I am having fun coloring them up. You'll be seeing much more from them here in the future. I colored the image with Copics and then covered it with Glossy Accents. It's mounted on a lacey scallop oval nestie in Lavender Lace (SU) and that is mounted on an oval of Cameo Coral (SU). I attached a white satin ribbon and stamped the sentiment using a little dollar alphabet set I got at Mikes.
This is my entry for this week's Kaboodle Doodles challenge which is to Show us Your Colors! I made this card in honor of Memorial Day which is the day every year when Americans remember all those who have served and continue to serve in our Armed Forces.
This image is from this week's sponsor on Kaboodle Doodles - The Paper Shelter. It is colored with a combination of digital coloring and Copics and is mounted on some scraps of blue and white. The card base is Cherry Cobbler (SU) and the sentiment is one I generated on my computer.
Well the sun is out (no telling how long it will last) and I am going to try to get a bunch of pictures taken while it does!
Thanks for visiting!

Kaboodle Doodle Challenge #66 - Lots of Layers
Well it's Monday and time for another challenge on the Kaboodle Doodles challenge blog. This week the challenge is to create a project using lots of layers! Here's mine:
You can't see it very clearly in this photo, but the raindrops are stickles and this is very sparkly irl. Be sure to stop by the blog and check out the projects by all the other talented design team members! Our sponsor this week is StampFairy and this is one of their images that I picked up a while ago. There are lots of fun images on the StampFairy site and you could be the lucky one to win some of them!
ETA - Thanks Pauline! - I've entered this card in the challenge over at The Ribbon Reel Challenge Blog - this is a new challenge blog and it looks to be lots of fun so be sure to stop over and check it out.

Kaboodle Doodle Challenge - "B" stuff!
This week our challenge over on Kaboodle Doodles has the kaboodlers making projects using embellishments that start with "B" - brads, buttons, bows, bling - you get the idea! They have done a bang up job of it too, so be sure to stop over and check out their creations. Here's mine:
Our sponsor this week is Di's Digis and they gave the team some fun images to work with. I pulled this cutie from my stash and went to town. Card base is Crumb Cake (formerly Kraft) (SU) and I stamped on it in CC (SU) ink using my unmounted paws wheel (SU). DH so very kindly and skillfully made me some acrylic blocks that fit my unmounted standard and jumbo wheels just perfectly. One of these days I'll put up a little tutorial on how that is accomplished if you all are interested. The image was colored with Copics and cut out using a lace edge nestie square. It's mounted on a square of Daffodil Delight (SU) that I rounded the corners on. The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes (SU) and punched and layered on a nestie label.
Okay, now for the first garden pix of the season.
The daffodils succumbed to the cold and I fear that the tulips might have been done in by it as well. We'll see. The allium however are undaunted and growing like crazy!! The hyacinth was just gorgeous, but alas as with most spring bulbs, it didn't hang around very long either. DH has been working in the yard like crazy building frames and mulching and getting everything looking so pretty before he leaves for the boat. I am going to be moving the veggie gardening to the front porch this year in the hope that I can handle it better by myself. DH is the true gardener in the family but I still would like to have a little home grown produce to snack on this summer. We have drip irrigation on the porch and it gets great sun all through the morning so it should be a good place for some tomatoes, lettuce and maybe even some peppers.
I'll have my Sassy Chic Stamp Camp card to share with you later (thanks so much to bff Sabrina for helping me come up with the design) and also a couple more Wax Fruit Company cards. I can't stop playing with Arielle's images - so very much fun to color!

It Can't possibly be Thursday already!
As you may have gathered from the dire shortage of posts on the old bloggo - things have been a bit busy. Hopefully they will slow down and I can actually get back to what passes for normal in my life soon. Time will tell.
Anyway, old Mr. Blogger is being a git again and making things format in wierd ways so we'll see how this all shakes out. Monday brought a new challenge (Spring/Easter) at Kaboodle Doodles sponsored by Some Odd Girl. Here's my
card:
I am finished with stamp camps now until May 7, but I have some wonderful projects to share with everyone that were made in those first three weekends in April. The weather has been nasty (although not as nasty as in some parts of the country) and there hasn't been much sun but hopefully I can get some decent pictures soon and post a little slideshow. I've got a couple digital projects in the works too so watch for some freebies soon!
Thanks for visiting!

It's Wednesday? How did that happen?
The week has totally gotten away from me. Maybe you'll understand why in a minute. First up - my Kaboodle Doodle challenge card that should have posted on Monday! Our challenge this week is Cute & Cuddly Animals and our sponsor is Digital Delights.
Yesterday afternoon I had the great pleasure of getting to meet one of my very favorite online blogging buddies, Pat Adam (the Rubbermaid herself)! We had a fantastic lunch and I am so hoping that she will come to visit again soon. I think that it is so wonderful to connect live and in person with people that you come to know only via their online presence. It was great fun and she is a total delight - just as I knew she would be! Thanks also to her son Justin for taking this picture of us, it was great to meet you too!
Then, last night dh and I went out and bought this:
Meet the new Mudmobile! It's a 2011 Prius and I am soooooo excited. The old Forrester was making noises like it was going to make some trouble and dh didn't want that to happen while he is living on the boat this summer. It's gorgeous and so comfortable, but it will take a little getting used to as I want to take full advantage of it's energy savings capabilities.
Last stamp camp in April coming up this weekend and it promises to be great fun. I have made a few revisions on my card and will share it with you later. Downline meeting tomorrow morning too. Yikes! I'm taking tomorrow and Friday off from my day job so that I can get myself pulled together and not mess up!
Thanks for visiting!

Kaboodle Dooodles is Breaking Traditions!
This week at Kaboodle Doodles the Kaboodlers are breaking tradition, stepping out of their boxes and trying out some new folds! Our sponsor for this week is Wink Wink Ink and they generously provided the dt with some images to play with.
Being an owl nut, I of course used this wonderful owl for my creation:
Card base is Night of Navy (SU) that I embossed with the Very Vintage wheel (SU). The owl and the sentiment (unknown manufacturer out of my punchables box) are mounted on More Mustard (SU). I lined the inside with some BG dp and added a wooden button and some gold cord to tie it all together.
Don't forget to check out the blog candy that I will be giving away on Feb. 28!

Kaboodle Doodles and Downline Swaps
Monday meant new challenge day on the Kaboodle Doodles challenge blog - this week we want to see some hearts and flowers on your cards. I know, it's Thursday, but I did get it posted on KD on Monday night, just didn't get around to putting it up here till today:
Our sponsor for this challenge is the marvelous Pink Cat Studio! What fun images. Hop on over to Kaboodle Doodles and check out the samples from the rest of the dt - good stuff!
Last week was our monthly downline meeting and I did a demo using the bleach technique. Here are a couple of the cards I made to illustrate to the gals a couple different techniques:
The one on the left uses a heat embossed image that is colored with bleach and the one on the right is a solid stamp using bleach as ink. I like this technique - it's smelly but it's fun!
Here is my swap:
Here are the swaps from all the rest of the gals:
I have several workshops and stamp camps coming up and I am feverishly trying to prepare for them. In the meantime, I'm getting ready to put up that long-awaited blog candy! Tomorrow or Saturday - be sure to come back and check it out!

Kaboodle Doodles Challenge #52
Well I didn't get my twins slideshow done - I'll get it done and share it with you later this week. So you've gotten a respite from my overbearing grandma pictures!!!
I do have a new Kaboodle Doodles challenge card to share with you though. This week our challenge is to Make it Monochromatic! Our sponsor is the generous folks at Fresh Brewed Designs. They gave the team some fun images to work with and will give the challenge winner their choice of three images from their store. Pop on over to the Kaboodle Doodles blog and take a look at the wonderful creations from the design team. Here's my card:
I guess his nose is technically not "monochromatic" but ... a carrot can't be blue even if it's really, really cold out! Speaking of really, really cold - that's what it is here for the next few days courtesy of our friends to the north. We may not get above zero for a bit, but hopefully by the weekend it will be more bearable. I have a stamp camp coming up this weekend and I hope to have a sample of my project to share with you soon too! The blog candy package is growing as well and soon will be ready - might wait till the end of the month and celebrate my b'day too!

Kaboodle Doodles wants you to Bling it Up!
It's time for a new challenge on the Kaboodle Doodles blog today. This week we would like to see some glitz and glamour - so add some bling, glitter or anything nice and shiny to your card. Our sponsor this week is the Digi Doodles Shop and they gave the team some wonderful images to play with.
Here's mine:
I also made another one from one of my own Digi Doodles images - I just love geraniums!
I colored these with my colored pencils and oms - fun! In spite of having a bit of sun, these look much bling-ier in real life. I'll get this photography thing down one of these days!
We are adding two new dt members to the Kaboodler squad - Lorie and Stacie - please stop by their blogs and leave them a little loving encouragement!

Kaboodle Doodles Challenge #50!
I can hardly believe it - we're up to 50 challenges now on the Kaboodle Doodles Challenge Blog. When I first was invited to join the design team as a guest designer we were at Challenge #3. We've come a long way baby! Please pay us a visit and check out all the wonderful creations by the fabulous design team. Our challenge is Black, White + 1 other color. Here's my creation:
Card base is my fave "toothy" white with layers of Real Red and Basic Black. Our sponsor this week is Sassy Studio Designs and they gave the team some fantastic images to play with. I chose Snow White and colored her in my graphics software. I added some of my fave blingy thingies that I picked up in the jewelry department at HL.
I'm hoping to get back on track here this week as I've got lots to share and just haven't had time to post. Upcoming this week is my swap and those of all the other gals from last week's downline meeting. I also did a really fun stamp camp with 9 other demonstrators and I'll have my project to share with you. Be sure to stop back and visit.
