Your "Civil Rights" Were Violated? Give Me a Break!!!

The audacity of some people is truly disgusting, especially those that believe that they are owed something, when in fact they are just plain criminals! And in this case I am talking about a bunch of ILLEGALS that are suing a rancher for "civil rights" violation.
An Arizona man who has waged a 10-year campaign to stop a flood of illegal immigrants from crossing his property is being sued by 16 Mexican nationals who accuse him of conspiring to violate their civil rights when he stopped them at gunpoint on his ranch on the U.S.-Mexico border.

Roger Barnett, 64, began rounding up illegal immigrants in 1998 and turning them over to the U.S. Border Patrol, he said, after they destroyed his property, killed his calves and broke into his home

The lawsuit is based on a March 7, 2004, incident in a dry wash on the 22,000-acre ranch, when he approached a group of illegal immigrants while carrying a gun and accompanied by a large dog.

Attorneys for the immigrants - five women and 11 men who were trying to cross illegally into the United States - have accused Mr. Barnett of holding the group captive at gunpoint, threatening to turn his dog loose on them and saying he would shoot anyone who tried to escape.

Let me get this straight, a bunch of Mexican nationals, ILLEGALLY crossed the border on this rancher's land, and he detained them for the Border Patrol. They claimed he violated their "civil rights" because he held them at gun point and threatened them with his dog.

Since when do people that enter this country ILLEGALLY have "civil rights?" Basic human rights, yes, but not the "civil rights" granted by the Constitution for AMERICAN citizens or people in this country legally.

And what about rancher Barnett's rights? Doesn't he have the right to protect his property from those that would destroy his land or rob his home?

This is an unwarranted suit brought forward, not by the ILLEGALS, but by those that want an open border, the mass ILLEGAL immigration of Mexicans, so they can reclaim the Southwest.

What happened to justice?

It appears that justice is only a misused word that doesn't apply to reality.

How Can We Control Our ILLEGAL Alien Problem When We Have Gov't Agencies Like This:

The control and prevention of ILLEGAL Aliens in this country is joke. And when you have local gov'ts, like the Dallas ISD, issuing fake SS #s to ILLEGALS, they are flinging a pie in the face of America.
Years after being advised by a state agency to stop, the Dallas Independent School District continued to provide foreign citizens with fake Social Security numbers to get them on the payroll quickly.

Some of the numbers were real Social Security numbers already assigned to people elsewhere. And in some cases, the state's educator certification office unknowingly used the bogus numbers to run criminal background checks on the new hires, most of whom were brought in to teach bilingual classes.

These perps, shouldn't be just slapped on the wrist and told no to do it anymore, there needs to be criminal charges brought upon these flagrant violators of the law!

When Liberals and ILLEGALS Attack!

ILLEGAL Aliens believe they have a right to invade our country, break our laws and that we owe them a living. And Liberals believe the same thing. So it is not surprising that a Middle School girl in Athens, TX was beat up because she made a sign that said: "If you love our nation, stop illegal immigration"
DALLAS — A teenager who took a sign reading "If you love our nation, stop illegal immigration" to school said she was hurt after being swarmed by angry classmates, and administrators said Tuesday they have suspended three students involved in the scuffle.

"It's disappointing that it happened," Athens school district superintendent Fred Hayes said. "It does not surprise me with the political nature of this issue."

Melanie Bowers, 13, brought the sign to Athens Middle School on Friday as part of a class project on political activism. Each child was assigned to pick an issue and prepare a poster supporting a position.

The three students given in-school suspension are Hispanic, Hayes said. Bowers is white.

If Melanie Bowers had brought a sign that said "Bush = Hitler" or "No Blood for Oil", nothing would have happen. But since she created a sign that was non-PC and spoke the truth, she was assaulted by Liberals and ILLEGALS.

The blame for this belongs with the teacher for assigning such a stupid assignment, and with the school for brain-washing it's students with political correctness, and not teaching them honoring a person's Freedom of Speech.

Why?

Being a logical conservative human being that is grounded in reality, there are some things I just don't understand or don't make sense.

Such as:

- Why must the MSM be so much in the tank for Liberals and their agendas?

- Why must Hillary lie?

- Why do ILLEGAL ALIENS think that we Americans owe them something?

- And do the Open Borders morons think that we should allow every Mexican a free ride into the US?

- Why are the dhimmis so bound and determined to appease those Islamics that want to kill them?

- Why are Liberals so stupid, and can't grasp reality?

- Why do Liberals hate Christians, but love Muslims?

- Why does the Al Gore-bot think he can actually fool the world into believing his BS on Global Warming?

- And are there so many morons that believe his BS?

- Why do the Nanny Staters think that they know better that we do, what is good for us?

- Why do Vegans think they are better than us meat eaters?

- Why must the MSM lie to the public about the economy, Iraq, the Bush administration, guns, the price of oil, Global Warming....

- Why does this same MSM think they can make up stories and think people will believe them?

- Why do people actually believe that the Gov't had something to do with 9/11

These are just some of the questions I ponder upon, some of the question I may know the answers to, but the answers doesn't make sense to a logical mind.

No Burden on Society, Eh?

The pro-ILLEGAL Alien lovers zealously spout the mantras of "they pay taxes", "no burden on society", and "doing jobs that Americans won't do". But when you look at the facts, the cost of having millions of ILLEGAL Aliens sucking up our taxpayer dollars in social services, free healthcare, education costs, and overloading the justice system, they are a burden on America. As Rhodes Island has found out and is trying to deal with.
PROVIDENCE - Rhode Island, facing a budget crisis that will lead to massive cutbacks, is engulfed in the most intense battle over illegal immigration in New England, with Republicans and Democrats alike calling for a crackdown on unauthorized workers.

In the past few weeks, state lawmakers and the governor have proposed a battery of measures targeting unauthorized workers, from expelling undocumented children from the state's healthcare system to making English the official language to jailing business owners and landlords who harbor illegal workers.

There is nothing wrong with immigration, legal immigration that is. America has thrived upon it, it is part of what makes us great, and we encourage it. But those that come here ILLEGALLY, crossing our southern border, thinking that America owes them something are adding nothing except a burden on America and its legal citizens.

Oh, and to set the record straight, Boston Globe, they are ILLEGAL Aliens, not "undocumented workers". Liberal morons!

And I bet you want to give them drivers licenses too!

Hey Wait a Minute! Let Me Rethink My Endorsement.

Minutemen founder Gilchrist is now rethinking his endorsement of Mike Huckabee because of Huckabee's pro-ILLEGAL immigration stance.
Minuteman Project founder Jim Gilchrist says he will have to reconsider his endorsement of former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee after learning the Republican presidential candidate favors allowing illegal aliens to wait only days to receive documents allowing re-entry into the U.S.

Huckabee insisted there is no discrepancy, specifying that "the pathway to get back here legally doesn't take years. It would take days, maybe weeks, and then people could come back in the workforce."

Asked by WND to respond, Gilchrist backtracked, admitting he may have been mistaken in his initial assumptions about the repatriation provisions of Huckabee's "Secure America Plan."

"I'm going to have to follow up on this," Gilchrist said. "I had not seen before anything in Governor Huckabee's plan where repatriation and touch-back could involve only days, not years.

"I personally need to talk to Governor Huckabee about this," he added. "This issue needs to be between Governor Huckabee and me."

Gilchrist should have never endorsed Huckabee in the first place, if he had done a little background checking, he would of found that Huckabee has been pro-ILLEGAL Aliens in the past.

I saw it as strange that Gilchrist endorsed him in the first place, considering the position of the Minuteman Project on ILLEGAL Immigration, and it was not smart of him to not have done his homework before connecting his name to Huckabee's. But he can redeem himself if he makes a correction, otherwise his will just appear the fool.

I still can't see what Huckabee's appeal is other than his religious background, and as a religious conservative, that doesn't sway me at all.

Things That Chap My Ass

If you have been a reader of mine for a while you will notice that I have my pet peeves, things that I write about more than others. These are the things that really chap my ass!

Things like:

Man Made Global Warming - the latest movement to guide the lemmings over the cliff of reasoning and sanity. It has not been proven, decided or totally agreed upon, and the ones that tell you it has are liars and frauds.

Hypocrisies and Lying Rhetoric - Generally anything the Left or members of the Democratic Party say. If their lips move, you know they are lying.

Anti-Americanists - Those that say they love America, but then proceed to tear it down. Those that are Americans and never have a good word to about it at all. Those that we wish would move somewhere else, thank you very much.

HollyWeird Liberals - Give it a rest would ya? Yes, you have the right to utter inane banalities, and yes I have the right not to pay to see your crappy movies.

The ACLU - The only truth in the name of the American Civil Liberties Union, is Union. As in the Union of Soviet Socialists.

The UN - Why are we wasting money on this joke? It should be called the United Arab Anti-American and Civil Right Violators Organization, that would be closer to what it really is.

Truthers - Crazies that are given a voice in the public forum. The Government's microwave beams must have gotten screwed up when it was beamed into these peoples heads. Just imagine thousands of your crazy Aunt Sally jabbering about the same thing - there you go.

Stupidity - You know, those that say, do or believe the most stupid things. I blame it all on modern medicine, they would have died off long before they had a chance to be stupid, if it hadn't been for modern medicine.

The "Offended" - You know those people whose feelings get hurt over the slightest slight, even if the slight was not meant for them or couldn't possibly be offensive to a reasonable person. Easy solution: STFU and Get Over It!

Frivolous Lawsuits - Lawsuit that clog our courts bought by stupid people, assholes, the "offended", activists trying to change the law through the courts and those that qualify for the Darwin Award. The way to stop them is fine both the plantiff and their lawyer for wasting everyones time and money.

Bad Manners - The loud ass pig in the restaurant, the common civility challenged, the mother that doesn't say NO to her kids, and the rude person in the parking lot. The solution to instilling manners on these people is a Louisville Slugger across the back of the hand.

The Nannies - Those that think they need to protect me from me. The power hungry control freaks that believe that they are doing the best thing for you as they take away your freedoms and rights. Can you say Michael Bloomberg? I knew you could!

Islamist and their apologists - Want to kill me, want to conquer the world and want to force the conversion of everyone to Islam. Treat their woman worse than animals, barbaric Shara Laws, and cowards. And those that apologize for them and call them the "Religion of Peace". Vermin!

Eco-freaks (aka Bunny Fornicators or Tree Huggers) - No, that stupid rodent, fly, salamander, or tree is not more important than development or humans. And if you think so highly of them, why don't you marry the damn thing!

The Donks - To describe the Donks, see all of the above.

It is not that I get irritated about everything, just those things or people that try to impose their will, stupid ideals or laws on me, or those that want to take away my God given Rights as written in our Constitution. I am a very tolerant man, but the small list above jerks my chain and gets me riled.

The Donks are Pandering to ILLEGALS and Pissing Off the Base

Last year the Republicans in the Senate supported the Shamnesty Bill, and in the process pissed of their conservative base. Well this year the Donks are supporting drivers licenses for ILLEGALS and they are pissing off their base.
Democratic House members can't understand why their party's national leaders are embracing driver's licenses for illegal aliens, and say their constituents see it as a "de facto amnesty."

Rep. Nancy Boyda, Kansas Democrat, said the stance taken by her party's presidential candidates is very unpopular in her district.

"What I tell people back home is, 'It is not my day to watch them,' " said Mrs. Boyda, adding that her reputation as a political maverick and staunch opponent of illegal entry distinguishes her from the folly at the top of the ticket.

"It is ultimately about the rule of law," she said. "We don't give driver's licenses to people who are here illegally. We do something about the fact that they are here illegally."

Rep. Artur Davis, Alabama Democrat, said voters in his state "get that a driver's license is a form of legal status" because it can be used to board a plane, enter most government buildings and conduct most financial transactions.

"The American people don't want conferring driver's licenses to become a de facto amnesty," he said.

If there is one thing that all Americans agree upon, that is, they don't want amnesty for ILLEGALS. The polls have shown that regardless of political party, the people are not agreeing with their politicians about amnesty, they don't want it, and yet the politicians ignore them.

This one issue will have a big impact on next year's election, just wait and see.

No Wonder the Mexican Gov't and ILLEGAL Alien Supporters Don't Want a Border Fence - It Works!

The Mexican Gov't is constantly bitching about the US building a fence on the border, and the pro-ILLEGAL Aliens groups are always protesting about the fence, and the reason is because it actually does restrict the flow of ILLEGALS coming into the US.
PALOMAS, MEXICO — At this fabled border crossing, where the last armed conflict between the United States and Mexico flared, the rancorous debate over the new U.S. anti-immigrant fence has been resolved.

The fence works, residents north and south of it say. At least it works for now on this snippet of the line.

"You hear it all the time: Fences don't work. Fences don't work," said Mark Winder, a transplanted New Englander and part-time deputy sheriff who lives on a small ranch outside Columbus, N.M., where a 3-mile stretch of wall was completed in August. "I live 2½ miles from the border, and the fence is working."

And that is just a very small stretch of the border. Imagine if we had a good fence across the majority of it.

The ILLEGAL Alien problem does have viable solutions, border fence, stricter border control, increase the number of Border Patrol agents, enforcement of the current immigration laws and a crack down on illegal with phony documents, businesses and the elimination of sanctuary cities. The are doable, not only that, but they are what the people of America want, if the Federal Gov't would get it's head out of it's ass and do them.

The High Cost of ILLEGAL Immigration

Liberals and pro-ILLEGAL Immigration supporters are always touting how much ILLEGAL Aliens add to our economy and say we can't quantify the costs. Well LA County just quantified the costs of having ILLEGAL Aliens suck their treasury dry.
LA County Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich has announced that a new report shows illegal aliens and their families in Los Angeles County collected over $35 million in welfare and food stamp allocations in July.

In the report, illegals are said to have collected nearly $20 million in welfare assistance for July 2007 and an additional $15 million in monthly food stamp allocations for an estimated annual cost of $440 million.

“Illegal immigration continues to have a devastating impact on Los Angeles County taxpayers,”said Antonovich. “In addition to $220 million for public safety and $400 million for healthcare, the $440 million in welfare allocations bring the total cost to County taxpayers that exceeds $1 billion a year -- this does not include the skyrocketing cost of education.”

ONE BILLION DOLLARS! and that is not counting the cost of educating the sons and daughters of the people that don't belong here. Now tell me that ILLEGAL Aliens in LA County pay over a billion dollars in taxes, go ahead I dare you!

Anchor Babies - Right or Wrong?

The issue of Anchor Babies has raised its ugly head with the protesting by the 8 year old Anchor Spawn of deported wacko Elvira Arellano.
An 8-year-old boy whose mother was deported to Mexico led a chanting crowd of about 150 pro-immigration activists through the halls of Congress on Wednesday. Capitol Police arrested two demonstrators for disorderly conduct.

Saul Arellano and other children carried a banner that read: "Born in the USA. Don't take our moms and dads away."

Which brings up the issue: Should the anchor child of ILLEGAL Aliens be automatically granted American citizenship?

The 14th Amendment grants these anchor babies their citizenship:
All persons born or naturalized in the United States and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.

This amendment was written after the Civil War to guarantee the citizenship of freed slaves, which was the correct action to take. But now it is being used by ILLEGALS to not only ensure that their children born here are citizens, but to ensure that they are not deported either. And that is where the law is being misused.

Nowhere in the 14th Amendment does it mention that the parents, not born here, not in this country legally, are granted citizenship or even allowed permanent residency. Thus I say if parents are deemed being in this country ILLEGALLY, deport them, the child can live with relatives (residing here legally), foster care or leave with their parents. These children should not be allowed to be used as pawns by their parents to cheat the system and bypass our immigration laws.

The children can stay, but the parents have got to go, that is the way it should be. I don't like the idea of children of ILLEGALS being granted automatic citizenship, but that is in the Constitution, and until it is changed, we will have to live with it.

It's ILLEGAL Immigration Stupid!

The Beltway Bozos are still clueless, after failing to cram a Shamnesty Bill down America's throat, they thought the issue was dead. But not to the people of America.
WASHINGTON — Seven weeks after the collapse of legislation in Congress, the outcry against illegal immigration is louder than ever, manifested by proposed clampdowns at the state and local level and an uproar over the arrest of an undocumented immigrant in the execution-style slayings of three New Jersey college students.

Scores of organizations, ranging from mainstream to fringe groups, are marshalling forces in what former House Speaker Newt Gingrich calls "a war here at home" against illegal immigration, which he says is as important as America’s conflicts being fought overseas in Iraq and Afghanistan.

While most of the groups register legitimate, widespread concerns about the impact of illegal immigration on jobs, social services and national security, the intense rhetoric is generating fears of an emerging dark side, evident in growing discrimination against Hispanics and a surge of xenophobia unseen since the last big wave of immigration in the early 20th century.

"I don’t think there’s been a time like this in our lifetime," said Doris Meissner, a senior fellow with the Migration Policy Institute and former commissioner of the U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service. "Even though immigration is always unsettling and somewhat controversial, we haven’t had this kind of intensity and widespread, deep-seated anger for almost 100 years."

Hell Yes! The people are angry, when the Fed Gov't won't secure our southern border, when sanctimonious cities harbor ILLEGALS and won't let their police enforce the law, when ILLEGALS are murdering American citizens, when ILLEGALS are driving drunk and killing Americans on the streets, I think Americans have a damn good reason to be angry. I know I am.

The issue is not going to go away, no matter what the politicos want, because the public is feeling the impact of millions of ILLEGAL Aliens every day, and we are tired of have to take the brunt of Washington's ineptitude.

Who ever fixes it, will be a hero, and who ever pays lip service, welllllll, there is always next year's election to get rid of them.

How Can Our Gov't Ignore The Problem?

The Federal Gov't is suppose to protect it's citizens, but how can it protect us when it blatantly ignores this problem - ILLEGALS killing Americans!

An ILLEGAL crashes into a school bus

Drunk ILLEGAL kills 2 Americans (and he had already been deported and snuck back in)

An ILLEGAL raped two women

This is just one day's worth that made the news, how many don't make the news? How many incidences of ILLEGALS committing crimes, murdering, raping, DUIs happen in a year in the US?

I say anything over zero is 1 too many.

Where is the Gov't in all this? Releasing ILLEGALS and trying to give them visas, that's where.

And the morons in DC wonder why the public was upset about that stupid shamnesty bill, many it has something to do with the public seeing ILLEGALS getting a free pass at being here and them killing our neighbors.

You had wake up Washington, because you are not doing your job and the public is starting to get tired of seeing their neighbors rape or murdered.

Enforcement, Not Appeasment - Part II

Yesterday I posted on how the lack of enforcement of our immigration laws has led to the total disregard to these laws by the ILLEGALS themselves, cities and the courts. A long standing commentor, Long Island Pete, sent me a link to how Ike addressed this problem back in the 50s.
George W. Bush isn't the first Republican president to face a full-blown immigration crisis on the US-Mexican border.

Fifty-three years ago, when newly elected Dwight Eisenhower moved into the White House, America's southern frontier was as porous as a spaghetti sieve. As many as 3 million illegal migrants had walked and waded northward over a period of several years for jobs in California, Arizona, Texas, and points beyond.

President Eisenhower cut off this illegal traffic. He did it quickly and decisively with only 1,075 United States Border Patrol agents - less than one-tenth of today's force. The operation is still highly praised among veterans of the Border Patrol.

There is too much to post it all, so go and read it. Ike used enforcement of the laws that were on the books, he didn't catch and release, he didn't allow sanctuary cities, he caught them and deported them. He also cleaned up the good old boy network between politicians, businesses and the Border Patrol which wanted and allowed ILLEGAL immigration. It wasn't really that hard, it's called enforcement.

This is one time I wish history would repeat itself.

Enforcement, Not Appeasement

Because the Fed Gov't won't enforce our current Immigration laws, we are in a big mess. And because of this appeasement to those that enter our country ILLEGALLY, we have seen a rash of lawsuits against Americans by ILLEGALS and they are winning in our appeasing courts. The Village of Mamaroneck was sued by day labors, many whom are ILLEGALS, to stop the village from enforcing the law, and they won!
WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- Hours before the planned opening of a new day laborer hiring site Tuesday, a Westchester village ratified a tentative agreement prohibiting police from routinely asking workers' immigration status or otherwise discriminating against them.

The agreement, disclosed by plaintiffs' attorneys, comes after day laborers successfully sued the Village of Mamaroneck. It was ratified 3-1 Monday night by the Village of Mamaroneck Board of Trustees, though must still be approved by federal Judge Colleen McMahon.

The village would also pay more than half a million dollars of the workers' legal fees.

Because it would be a federal court-approved settlement, the agreement could influence the treatment of day laborers elsewhere around the country, where they have become an increasingly visible symbol of the immigration issue.

How is this possible? The answer is because of the lack of emphasis by the Federal Gov't on enforcement, and by the ruling of a liberal bleeding heart judge, the "day laborers" are free from being asked their immigration status and get their legal fees paid.

Americans are fed up with ILLEGALS getting a free ride on our dime, we want enforcement, not appeasement!

Backlash!

I don't think President Bush, the RNC or GOPs in the Gov't expected the backlash they are getting from their "supporters" over this Amnesty Bill. It's so bad that the RNC discontinued it's phone solicitations because of the angry responses they were receiving.
Just two days after President Bush slammed critics of his immigration policy, the Republican National Committee has reportedly fired all 65 of its telephone solicitors, as donors are said to be furious over the Bush's stance to give legal status to millions of illegal aliens.

"Every donor in 50 states we reached has been angry, especially in the last month and a half, and for 99 percent of them immigration is the No. 1 issue," a fired phone-bank employee told the Washington Times.

This backlash is real. I wrote yesterday myself that I was extremely disappointed in President Bush and the GOP for trying to sell us this P.O.S. and tell us it was candy and if we didn't like it we were bigots. This doesn't sit well with me or a lot of other conservatives. In fact you will find that the majority of the Right-o-sphere feels the same way. I was intrigued by the responses at the Ace of Spades, to Ace's post in which he threw President Bush under the bus, and it appears that this Amnesty Bill was the straw that broke the camel's back for conservatives. The GOP is in major trouble, unless they go against President Bush and his amnesty cronies, if they don't they can kiss off ever controlling Congress again and possibly the White House.

The backlash is tremendous and someone had better pay attention, otherwise this nation is going to go down the toilet because the Socialist Donks will be in control and they are flushing as fast as they can.

People that I respect, I tend to put my faith in them. And it generally takes a lot for me to lose that faith. I have lost my faith in President Bush.

I still believe that he is doing a fair job at pursuing the GWoT, but the latest Immigration Bill flap was the straw that broke the camel's back.

When I originally heard some of particulars of this bill, I was for it with some modifications (stronger border security, tougher background checks, no entitlements...). But as the specifics started coming out, I decided that it was a sham and an Amnesty Bill disguised as a tough immigration bill. It is not what America needs, it may be what President Bush wants, but it is not what America needs.

As one of my commentors, MM, e-mailed me and said "Yesterday Bush called me a bigot because I'm calling this immigration folly "amnesty"..." and he is right. Just because Americans want their Gov't to protect them from people ILLEGALLY crossing our border, protect them from some of the criminals crossing, that come in, rape, steal and murder Americans or protect them from a possible terrorist, we are considered "bigots"? That's just not right!

A good compromise Immigration Bill would have provisions that had real border protection sections, a real fence funded and built (and not just 350 miles of fence either), real increases in the Border Patrol manpower, and real background checks prior to granting of any Z Visa or Guest Worker permit (none of this 24 hours garbage), real back taxes paid, real enforcement of the laws we have now by all law enforcement agencies, and a real crack down on law-breaking "sanctuary cities", not these phony "for show" provisions that this current bill has now.

I find the current bill insulting, as do the majority of other Americans, and I find myself being insulted by the President Bush, his Administration, and John McCain because I won't buy into this sham of a Immigration Bill.

I will stand beside President Bush when he gets slammed by the Haters for the GWoT and the War in Iraq, but he let me down with this Amnesty Bill, thus I cannot stand beside him for this. Or his Big Gov't, or his spending.

Sorry George, you can no longer consider me a "Bushie", I am a conservative that wants a conservative President, and this Immigration/Amnesty Bill of your violates my conservative principles. You have done great things in the past, but what you doing in present sucks.

Mr M's View on the New Immigration Bill

Since the compromise Bill was announced yesterday there has been mucho bally-hoo about it.

Let's look at some of the provisions in his thing:

1 - The proposed agreement would allow illegal immigrants to come forward and obtain a "Z visa" and — after paying fees and a $5,000 fine — ultimately get on track for permanent residency, which could take between eight and 13 years. Heads of households would have to return to their home countries first.

I like most of this because it doesn't grant amnesty automatically, they have to apply for a Z Visa, pay a fine, and then they can work towards permanent residency, it's not just handed over to them. Also the head of the household must return to their home country first.

2 - They could come forward right away to claim a probationary card that would let them live and work legally in the U.S., but could not begin the path to permanent residency or citizenship until border security improvements and the high-tech worker identification program were completed.

Nothing happens until we secure our borders first, this is good.

3 - A new crop of low-skilled guest workers would have to return home after stints of two years. They could renew their visas twice, but would be required to leave for a year in between each time. If they wanted to stay in the U.S. permanently, they would have to apply under the point system for a limited pool of green cards.

Guest Workers program, Ok, must leave between their 2 year work stints. Underline MUST.

4 - the proposed plan would shift from an immigration system primarily weighted toward family ties toward one with preferences for people with advanced degrees and sophisticated skills. Family connections alone would no longer be enough to qualify for a green card — except for spouses and minor children of U.S. citizens.

This is the best part, qualified immigrants, not just family ties, this provision is long overdue. Qualified and educated immigrants want to come here to live and we want them, but they were lumped in with the unqualified in having to wait their turn. Good stuff.

This is a good start, but it needs some tweeking.

What I don't see is, what will happen to those that don't come forward for the Z Visa? Those that continue to evade the system after this is implemented should be deported, no questions asked, no passing GO, straight back home, never to be granted anything. And you had better not try to sneak across again either.

I would also like to see that there is some kind of background checks on those applying for the Z Visa and Guest Workers program, because we need to stop the criminals that have invaded our country from continuing to live here unopposed. If they are a criminal or have committed any crime here in America, adios dude, and don't try coming back.

We need to see stricter enforcement provisions in this bill. Fines for employers that hire ILLEGALS, paperwork that is not easily forged, penalties for Banks and Mortgage companies that enroll ILLEGALS, enforcement of the LAW, no more sanctuary cities or churches. If they are hiding ILLEGALS, then all Federal Funds are cut-off for cities and Tax Exempt status is revoked for churches. A mandate that all law enforcement officers must enforce this law, no more liberal city cops being told to ignore the immigration status of those they pull over or arrest. We need to make it tougher on those that harbor ILLEGALS and tougher on them to cross our borders. If they want to come over here, then let them do it legally.

I also would like to see the enforcement of those Guest Workers and Z Visa holders pay Taxes, with no refunds. No welfare, no food stamps, no social security, they aren't citizens, so why should they receive the benefits of a citizen?

Other than the few ideas I would like to see added to this Bill (as it stands today, before the Donks get a hold of it), I find it a compromise, not the best, but certainly not the worst either. I know I will catch some grief from some my very conservative readers for even considering this thing, but hey, it's my opinion, and you have yours.

The way I see it is that it is better that what was proposed before, it's not perfect, and nothing but a compromise will pass anyway. Right now we have laws not being enforced, a border that leaks like a sieve and Fed, State and Local Gov'ts ignoring the problem. We need something and if we don't get something soon, then it wll be business as usual. So add a couple of stricter rules and I will buy it.

Now This is One Immigration Bill I Can Back

Sen. Jim Inhofe (R-Okla.), has introduced an Immigration Bill that has meat, and doesn't back off on what we need to have happen to secure our nation.
(CNSNews.com) - Sen. Jim Inhofe (R-Okla.) has re-introduced immigration legislation intended to boost border security, reject amnesty, and reduce the strains that illegal aliens place on society. Inhofe's ENFORCE Act (Engaging the Nation to Fight for Our Right to Control Entry) emphasizes greater enforcement of existing immigration laws and would make unlawful presence in this country a felony. "Illegal immigrants continue to cross our country's borders, strain our economy and exploit our resources," Inhofe said. "The gravity of this situation warrants that Americans of all political stripes come together to address this problem immediately. I will not stand idly by and watch our great nation collapse under the pressures of uncontrolled illegal immigration; this is a crisis and one that must be addressed aggressively. Simply granting citizenship to immigrants, who are currently in our country illegally, is not the answer," he said. Inhofe called the ENFORCE Act "a strong step in the right direction to help solve our growing problem of illegal immigration." S.1269 also would eliminate automatic citizenship for children born in the U.S. to illegal aliens. Inhofe's bill is unlikely to go anywhere in a Congress controlled by Democrats who generally favor a "pathway to citizenship" for illegal aliens.

Let's see:
- NO Amnesty - CHECK
- Make being in the US ILLEGALLY a Felony - CHECK
- Boosts Border Security - CHECK
- Stresses enforcement of the current laws - CHECK
- Eliminates automatic US citizenship to children born to ILLEGAL Aliens - CHECK


Yeps, sounds good to me. But you can expect the wimp-ass Donks to squash it because they count on ILLEGALS to vote for them. - CHECK
