Mancat Tuesday - TV Edition

Just chillaxin and watchin the tube. On the floor. The hard hard floor. Just us guys. *burp*

The space heater in the Mancave is broken and it is super cold down there so we've had to watch basketball upstairs. Crossing fingers daddy buys a new one soon.

Did you know that ESPN 2 shows the Harlem Globetrotters games? I've never seen them not on Scooby Doo.

Nothing is the same without the Mancave.

Mancat and Men on Monday

I am soooooooooo late in posting this but mommy and daddy were busy with "family get togethers" and work today. BUT I wanted to make sure I posted this special, it is after all still his birthday for 4 hours and 21 minutes.

It is my daddy's 32nd birthday! We've opened all the gifts so I can tell you what I got him. I got him Stripes on DVD. A very manly movie for sure.

Mommy got him The Dark Knight on DVD aaaaaaaaand Season One of the old comedy show Son of the Beach! We're going downstairs to the Mancave and watch it right now.

Here are some of my favorite pictures of me and my daddy (and for a heartwarming - and gagworthy story - of how much my daddy loves me scroll to my Friday post.)

This picture from Feb may look like a simple "feed the kitty" picture, but note he still has his coat on. He'd just gotten off a plane from California after being gone all week for work. He fed me before even taking his coat off.

Daddy shoveling a toooooon of snow when we had our blizzard in March.

Pet the kitty, pet the kitty, pet the kitty on the head

Manly bellehs!

Daddy hung my new window box on the second floor so I could get the bestest view of the neighborhood.

Birdie watching from the Mancave window.

I hope you enjoyed seeing some manly pictures of me and my daddy.

Mancat Monday

This is what men do on a Sunday. Drink beer and watch football. Well, I get nip, not beer. I loooove the projector screen in the Mancave. HD and big football beans. See how I actually watch the TV? When my beans put The Who concert on I stare at it like a nummy bird!

Mancat Monday

me and the cheeky squirrel
On this Mancat Monday, I'll be posting some older photos of me & Bendrix. Not old old, just a few weeks. Why? Because mommy has not takin a bunch of flashy pictures of me since I'm not feeling well. Cool huh?
If you want to see some new picturs of me, check out the Swap N Tails bloggy of me opening my July Swap N Tails. I'm not playing much yet, but can't wait to try that cool white fuzzy mouse...at 3:30am...

Bendrix scratching the carpet under the craft table.

I am feeling much better. No gunk in my eyes and no sneezing anymore. We think the antibiotik is making my tummy upset so I'm still just chillaxin. Also it is hotter than Hades here even with the a/c so that doesn't help me feel good.

What does is a visit from my sweet Ladycat Brandi. She came and nursed me and snuggled with me this weekend. I've never slept better than when she was holding my paw.

We are making the rounds thanking all our friends for the good healing thoughts. We are so greatful for the blogosphere and are sure the purrs and prayers are helping me recover faster.

Mancat Midnight Monday - Weekend Recep, Icky Tummy

Daddy worked soooooooo hard last week. He was up most nights working on our computer until 3am, then went into work at 6am, came home, slept for 3 hours and started all over again. I didn't get any nap time with him and he didn't even get to sleep on the big bed (well, that was OK with me cause I got more room to stretch out since mommy moved to his side). I didn't get my lay on the floor time or my play time. It sucked. Mommy was working too, so I felt awfully neglected.

Then on Saturday, 2 things happened, daddy finished his engine test and took a nap with me on the sofa...and my Swap N Tails Package from the sweet Miz Allie Cat came!! I don't have any playing pictures because my tummy hacked up 2 hairballs Saturday and one Sunday. (don't worry, things are still moving thru the other end OK and I'm enjoying my extra Laxitone).

Sunday, I got lotsa lovin time with both mommy and daddy. I batted my new fuzzy toy on a stick while laying on my back on the couch. It was fun. I can't wait until my tummy is better so I can eat the nummy Whisker Lickens that she sent!

I did chase the cool flashy ball toy under the couch once. Then laid down again. Mommy promises fun pictures as soon as my belly feels better (mommy got some cool stuff too, but you have to visit the Swap N Tails blog later - mommy is uploading there now - to see it!). Swap N Tails is so much fun!!

I watched Matt Maupin's funeral on TV(see my post below) with mommy and daddy. More than 4000 people attended. It was a very moving and very fitting tribute to a brave soldier. It was impossible not to be overwhelmed by the outpouring of emotion, even now. The flyover was incredible. Anyway, thanks again to all the brave Men and Women in Green and their families. We can never repay what you sacrifice for us.

Mancat Midnight Monday

Hi all! First, a big thanks to the M-Cat Club for hosting such a great party yesterday and Second, CONCATULATIONS to Sammy Meezer for a fantastic finish in the Daytona 500 in 20th. His pit crew did a great job!

I want to demonstrate today, how a Mancat knows the best place to lay is on top of a piece of clothing his bean will be wearing. This is to assure his furs get all over the clothing, clearly marking his bean.

This is important to do, even if it is obvious what you are doing because there is a whole other part of the antique chest (or as Captain Jack & Dante Barbossa's mommy calls it "antique cat bed") for me to lay on. I only regret this particular sweater was as black as my House Panther furs.

Have you visited Brandi? She has such a pretty photo up today. Sigh. I must go stare at it.

Mini Mancat Monday and Big Thank You!

Hi all! It is a icky cold rainy day here in Ohio and I'm still resting up from Parker's wonderful holiday party Saturday night.

I have a looooong overdue thank you to Patty Greg and the Washington Area Humane Society in PA who helped us get little Chance to his new home. Chance's new mommy Nellie & my mommy were looking for a place to meet in the middle, especially a place where little Chance could get out and stretch his legs and go potty.

The Washington Area Humane Society, a no kill shelter, stepped up to the plate. All mommy did was ask and they totally said yes! Not only did the nice people offer up a place to meet, when mommy and daddy got there, they found a whole play area set up just for little Chance!

This is his first experience with nip! He loved the toys the shelter put out for him.

He loved his track ball as much as Dragonheart does!

Chance got to play and run around for an hour there. They would have let us stay all day if we'd wanted. All the volunteers came by to say hi to Chance and wish him well.

It is a really nice shelter where the kitties (we were in the special kitty area) all have really BIG cages and lotsa toys and blankets in them. The nice people there even let the cats out one at a time to roam the cat area. They saw a big floofy black kitty get adopted to a loving forever home!

Really, it is one of the nicest shelters mommy has seen. We'd love all our kitty friends to send them a thank you for helping us get our little Chance to his forever home. Visit the website or send them an email washahs AT fyi DOT net (all squished together)

Here is little Chance with his mommy there.

I'm so glad Chance, a "mini Mancat" for 6 more months has such a great home!

Mancat Monday

aaahhh finally things have gotten back to normal. Mommy and daddy are especially happy because little Chance is at his wonderful forever home. His mommy Nellie is so nice and sweet, he loved her right away. Please visit him at his very own bloggy to welcome him to the blogosphere!

I spent the weekend snuggling on the sofa with my mommy. She would post those pictures but she forgot the camera cord for the computer at home! Silly mommy. I'll post those tomorrow. She'll also post the pictures of Chance meeting his mommy for the first time and tell you about the nice people at the Washington Area Humane Society who were so great about letting us use their facility.

Until then, I think I'll do a little grooming and nap until mommy and daddy get home from hunting and gathering.

Although this picture was taken last week, today's grooming session will look very similar...

It is brr brr cold here and will only get colder this week. We hope all our friends are safe and sound from all the snows that fell this weekend.

Mancat Monday

Jeez, one thing I learned last week about being a Mancat is that sometimes we have to sacrifice. Sometimes we have to suck it up, and be Mancats. How do I know this? Because that little fuzzy stinker upstairs is taking up so much of MY mommy's time. OK, OK, OK, I know, he is cute. Yes he went thru a lot, but that is MY mommy. So, I've learned to suck it up and spend time with my mommy when I can (and enjoy the extra treats I get cause she feels guilty heh heh heh).

Hendrix's mommy here: Yes, Hendrix has been the sweetest boy about all the changes last week. We have to make sure the kitten gets taken care of and of course the million places we had to go to for the holiday. We ate well, but we were busy. No worries, our dear Mancat Hendrix was NOT neglected at all.

Hendrix here. You may be saying to yourself, "of course Hendrix would be so nice and understanding of the changes, but what about Bendrix? He is not a fan of change." Well, Bendrix has been busy with his new minions.....

Even Bendrix has to admit that the little guy has mad skills. Want to know what his name is? Check out his new bloggy!! He and his new woofie brother Shadow will keep us updated on all his progress.

You have all left so many nice messages supporting us and our little charge and we really appreciate all of them. The cat blogosphere is a great place and we are so glad to be a part of it. My mommy promises we will be back on track visiting soon. She works retail and on top of me, the kitten, working in a gift shop my beans had FOUR Thanksgivings this weekend. Sigh. Thanks again for all your kind words.

ManCat Monday

Some beans keep asking my mommy and daddy "Have you guys thought about starting a family yet??" I say, they have to get through me first!

Please continue to send good thoughts to our sick friends Miss Peach and Beau.

Mancat Monday - Halloween style

Hi! Here is my first slideshow. I hope future slideshows will be cooler than this, but mommy thought you'd all enjoy seeing me and Bendrix posing in our Halloween costumes. You heard right, Bendrix makes a guest appearance!

Here is our first ever slideshow!!!

(we didn't know how to add music or make this just play on our post...)

ManCat Mattress Pad Monday

Hi! Finally my mommy got smart and bought me a brand new mattress pad for my big bed. It is bad enough I have to share it with them, but that old thin mattress pad just didn't give the support and cushion my ManCat muscles need. Mommy put the new mattress pad on Saturday night and it is glorious.

Frankly, this is where I'll be spending most of my time from now on. I did all day Sunday. I had 2 fans, a soft matress pad, and a warm sun beaming in the window. What more could a ManCat ask for? Oh, I know, breakfast in bed!!!

Great job mommy!

Um, mommy, it is hard to relax with the flashy box around...

No more pictures! I am not Paris Hilton and I don't like my photo taken!
