Ornament Chocolate Holders

Hi there, here are some holiday gifts I made for some colleagues & family.

I got this idea from Renee Cooper who was the Customer Spotlight in the Sept 13th Cricut Chirp newsletter. She made these really cool pumpkin crates using the ice cream cone cut from Sweet Tooth Boxes and I thought this cut would make great ornament crates.

I made a whole bunch so there's a lot of pictures ahead. At the end of this post are the instructions and materials I used:

I filled them with Mini Hershey Kisses or Dove Dark Chocolates.

For a family member I put a gift card in it by standing it up in the chocolates.

Goody mix:
-Cardstock: White Glitter, Brown Glitter, Bazzill Brown T9-943, Bazzill Basics Rain Forest
-Patterned Paper: Bazzill Basics Glazed Christmas, DCWV Glitter Christmas Stack 2007, Debbie Mumm Holiday 2008, SEi Alpine Frost, My Mind’s Eye Festive & Frost Signature Christmas Short Stack with Glitter, , DCWV Glitter Christmas Stack 2008
-Stamp: CTMH No Peeking (Tag, To & From)
-Stickers: Jolee’s Boutique Snowflake Repeats, Holiday Time (Wal*Mart)
-Fluid Chalk Inks: Colorbox Prussian Blue, Blue Iris, Dark Moss, Deep Green, Creamy Brown, Chestnut Roan, Dark Brown, Merlot, Maroon
-Punch: Martha Stewart Artic Snowflake
-Cricut Cartridge: Sweet Tooth Boxes – ConeLy1 & ConeLy2 cut at 9 ½”
-Misc: Tops to real ornaments, Black Pigment Ink, Embossing Powder, Heat Gun, Ribbon, Button, DMC Floss 519, DMC Floss 300, DMC Floss White, Crop-A-Dile Tool, Black Eyelets, Rhinestones, Red Jingle Bell

I hope everyone had a very happy holiday season!

Here's some more holiday gift tags I made a couple friends to use when they give their very yummy holiday treats to family and friends. This time I stamped them on a 3" circle piece of white card stock and adhered them to some ornament shaped card stock which I used George and Basic Shapes to create using 1” and 3 ½” circles and a 1” x 1 ¼” rectangle:

-Patterned Paper: Bazzill Basics Glazed Christmas

-Misc: Adhesive, Gamsol, Black & Silver Pigment Ink, Embossing Powder, Heat Gun, Ribbon, Crop-A-Dile Tool, Silver Eyelets

And here are some wreath tags I made last year to attach to my own holiday "treats":

Christmas party favors

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! Mine was a full house and very nice, except for the fact that a few of us had bad colds, myself with a 2 degree temperature. But it was still very nice. :)

You've already seen some of the favors I made for my family in early earlier posts but here are the last 4 that I had to make.

The 1st three were made using Regina's Candy Box cutting file from her store The Cutting Café. This box is PERFECT for holding 12 mini Hershey bars. One I made was for my darling SIL who is a chocoaholic so this was a perfect one for her. The 2nd one was for my soon-to-be wonderful mother-in-law who loves mint chocolate and luckily for me this year Hershey came out with mint mini Hershey bars, including white chocolate! And 3rd one was made for my great manager.

And since this holds 12 mini Hershey bars I decided to go with the Twelve Days of Christmas Theme...Regina being as creative and smart as she is, she included in this set the perfect measured rectangles to make your own wrapper for each chocolate bar.

So here are the ones using the Candy Box and the paper is from K&Company:

I love this paper from SEI from their Alpine Frost collection:

Originally I was going to put everyone's names on the favors but I decided at last minute to do place cards.

I got these so too cute ornament place card holders from Michaels for only $1/pair, are they not gorgeous?!?:

This one I filled with Hershey's mint truffle kisses. I also used Regina's Christmas Circle printable stamps for the tag. This gorgeous paper is from K&Company.

This favor I made using Regina's Long Window cutting file from her store The Cutting Café.

This one was for my brother being the coffee junkie that he is (as well as myself):

This stamp is from one of my favorite stamp sets...CTMH Coffee Shop and I got to use my prismacolor pencils (PC946 Dark Brown & PC911 Olive Green) and the gamsol technique:

Here's another stamp I fell in love with this season from Inkadinkadoo's Snowflake Trail set:

TFL and happy holidays!

Hot Chocolate Tree Box...BBTB Challenge

This past weeks challenge over at the Bitten By The Bug was to use the Tree Box from Tags, Bags, Boxes and More...I decided to make a Hot Chocolate Tree Box filled with homemade Hot Chocolate mix and mini marshmallows...mmmmm...

I used CDS and stretched out the tree box as large as I could on a 12x12 mat using the Tag Window feature. But I have to tell you, these shaped boxes on TBBM can be a little difficult to get lined up correctly and I'm not sure if it's because I'm stretching it out (even though it gets stretch out evenly). Does anyone have this issue?

And I finally got to use this really cool CTMH Coffee Shop stamp set that I got a while ago that I've been dying to use! Which I'll definitely being using for some more Holiday projects and cards...

This is available on my Etsy store here.

And go over the Bitten By The Bug site to see all the amazing things the out DTs did with this challenge!

Hot Chocolate Mix:
-PP: DCWV Christmas Glitter Stack 2007
-Stamps: CTMH Coffee Shop
-Fluid Chalk Inks: Colorbox Merlot
-Pigment Ink: VersaFine Onyx Black
-Punch: Martha Stewart's Snowflake punch
-Primsmacolor Pencils: PC946 Dark Brown and PC925 Crimson Lake
-Cricut Cart: Tags, Bags, Boxes and More cut using the CDS stretch out to approx 7 3/4" and using the Tag Window feature
-Misc: Adhesive, Mini Pot Dots, Ribbon (unknown from stash), Gems, MM 1/8" Eyelet (Berry)
