Paniolo Greens Resort

We stayed at Paniolo Greens Resort when we went to the Big Island last month. We occupied a unit that was on the second and third floor. The kitchen and the living room at the bottom and the bedrooms at the third floor. The units at the first floor are bungalow style.

It was a good experience staying there, it was only the second time where we rented a unit that has the amenities of a home instead of just a bedroom. The price was good too comparable to renting a hotel room. We cooked mostly for breakfast, we used the living area and the lanai a lot too.

No toys and too much clutter!

There were two bedrooms. I was not able to take a picture of the other one, we only used one anyway and there were two bathrooms. There was a washer and a dryer which we also used.

There was no ocean view but the golf course view is equally good.

On  late afternoons, the wild turkeys visited us.

We will consider staying there again when we go back to the west side of the Big Island.

I feel that I am so behind my blog posts, it's just that I'm focusing on other things this time. Mostly when I sit infront of the computer it's about browsing through toddler/ kiddie stuff. My upcoming blog posts will probably be about the activities we do mostly indoors.

I started with Ebay again, I know I mentioned I won't sell anymore till I find a cheaper way to send items but it was just the most convenient way for me, it still consumes time but probably not as much as when I have my own website. Offline, I also try to find some gigs so I can help the family financially while I stay a stay at home mom and still play hard with my daughter. It's hard challenging but it's worth it. Well, personally from my experience working 8.5 hours a day in a company like I used to when RC was still so young was harder.

San Francisco Zoo II

Pictures from April vacation at San Francisco Zoo. It was a fun day. I'm thinking of taking RC to Honolulu zoo, the last time we went was when she just turned two years old, she was still scared of petting the goat then.

Pua Mau Botanic and Sculpture Garden

We did not plan to go here when we went to the Big Island but we saw a sign at the street with arrows to a botanical garden. This was after we went to Pu'ukohola Heiau Historical site. It was beautiful with a lot of flowers but we were not allowed to explore everything so we got a discounted entrance fee. A lot of their trees and plants are common here in Hawaii but I think they look nicer because they were altogether.

Their gallery/ gift shop.

-entering the botanical garden

RC did not want to leave these small flowers. Kids can be amazed at things we ignore.

There were bug and other animal sculptures.

The plumeria trees encircling this area. Pua Mau Place seems to make circular areas with trees or stones as their "fence".

-taking a break under the shade.

Before going to see the one turtle that's in the garden.

RC after feeding the peacocks. I haven't seen so many peacoks in one area.

RC smelling flowers. I love the smell of plumeria too.

At the wedding area overlooking th visitor center

Is this the Hawaiian version of the Stone Henge? They copied it using big rocks.

It would have been a lot  better if we went in the afternoon when the sun is not too intense.

I hope everyone is having a great weekend!

Puukohola Heiau

We just came back from the big island, we stayed for 5 days and 4 nights. It was a good relaxing trip. We did not even plan much before we left so we did not have an itinerary. After all, we are still locals just visiting another island. We still were able to see a lot of new places mostly historical.

We stayed and drove around the west side of the island because I have been to the east side twice before when I still don't have RC.

The visit here at Pu'ukohola Heiau site was good with great views but it was very hot and we went there about noon.

One of the highlights of going there is to look for the numbers engraved in woods.

I hope everyone is having a great midweek! Thanks for visiting Mom Daughter Style blog.
