Mod Mix Monday 48

Lots to Love
This room has so much in it I love.
the aqua sofa, of course,
the pretty turquoise window,
the fantastic mirrored screen,
the big limbs of flowers,
the genie bottles,
and
that crazy wallpaper.

Here's my favorite Mod Mix's from last week.
Town and Country Living painted this blanket chest.
Isn't she pretty?
Angie from Postcards from the Ridge finished her bathroom redo.
My favorite part is the dresser she turned into a vanity for the sink but
all the finishes are beautiful in this bath.
Bliss Ranch had a Kodak Moment when redoing this little dresser.
It is really something to see. Very original and I think it's fabulous.
Miss Kopy Kat shared her technique for creating blue glass vases and mason jars.
This grouping full of flowers is just the definition of springtime.
Repohsture created this amazing lamp out of ski poles!
It's retro and salvage chic and looks great in this room.
Oh...you know I can't resist a turquoise dresser. This one from Make Me Pretty Again.
See the green peaking out from the turquoise? Super Nice

Boy, time goes fast...I can't believe it's almost May.
I love seeing all these projects each week.
Makes me feel inadequate though because I have so many projects in the works around here and
can't seem to get them completed.

Plus I came up with a new one on Friday...I'll share that one this week.
Or rather share my plan for that one.

Link up your Mod Mix's below....

Remember anything old made over to be new...anything new changed up to look old.
New and old together...
Please include the Mod Mix Monday logo and back link to me.

If you link up..I'd appreciate it, if you'd follow me.

Open House Sunday

Back in Dallas
(built in 1929)
What a lovely shaded yard. I love the curving front path.
Great front door...unusual porthole window plus iron details.
I adore diamond pane windows too.
Precious front patio
Original art tile fireplace.
nice white chairs
Very nice details in this kitchen. I like the countertops a lot.
That's a pretty great sink and I lust after that bridge faucet.
I love the way the stove is set in this nook with the pretty hood over head.
I'm crazy for this bathroom.
I love all the finishes except that mirror.
It's a great mirror but it it's too rustic for this bath.
Upstairs bedroom in the renovated attic space.
A bright sunny space under the rafters.

Pink in the Garden

Yummy pink walls in a garden room. So unexpected.

Pink is not the first color you'd think of for garden accessories but it sure works well in these examples.

I'm trying to pull my garden and yard together. I feel like I'm way behind.

I bought one really big thing tonight for outside that I'll share soon.

In other news...

My kitchen got featured at WhisperWood Cottage.
I was among nine other fantastic white cottage kitchens featured.
Many of them being kitchens I have admired online for awhile.

I still have another kitchen project I finished and I need to post.
I really wanted to post it before the end of the month to be included over there.
Well, I still have two days.

This week did not go as planned.
I ended up working a lot more than scheduled at Pier 1.
Which is ok...it just meant I didn't get things done like I had hoped.

I hope you have a lovely Saturday!

Feathered Nest Market

It Was Time
Time to go back to Feathered Nest Market in OKC.
Diedra and I went by there last week and I snapped these photos of their merchandise.
When I am working at Pier 1, I often get asked how I can work in that place and
not spend my entire check.

Well, first of all....I need the money not the merchandise.
And although Pier 1 has many great things; most of them
are not my style.
I do enjoy helping other's put together "THEIR" style.

I buy little things here and there but so far nothing major.
But if I worked at Feathered Nest Market...I would have a hard time coming home
with any money at all.

Like that big clock and that perfect turquoise table above.
I'll take those little urns and the metal basket above.
I'm sure I could find a spot for this french chest of drawers.
That rabbit is perfect for Easter.
Maybe I should go back and get him.
Very nice chandelier. I'd like for my bedroom and how about the blue swirl vase?
I'll take both.
I'd love to have that trophy and those diamond pane windows.
I kept going back to this garden cart.
It's painted aqua and at $69, it was a steal.
But I couldn't justify it.
It's not the look I'm going for outside.
I thought it would make a good bar cart inside but it's rather wide and kind of short.
So I didn't think it right for that either.
Still it haunts me because I'd love to have it.
What do you think of it?
Maybe one of you will rush over there and snatch it up.
It needs a good home.
