California part 2- 1st Annual Craft and Crop

On August 5th, I drove out to Palm Desert with Charise and Bill to set up for our Craft and Crop weekend. We had a fantastic time! I had lots of fun getting ready for this event and even more fun at the event. It was a scrapbooking weekend with added craft classes and lots of yummy food. Char made her famous blended drinks. It was held at the amazing Palm Desert JW Marriott. What a beautiful hotel!

Char and I went grocery shopping and brought back 3 carts of food. Shopping for cold items in Palm Desert is hard to do. Imagine us, walking into Walmart with all of our refrigerated and frozen items from Sam's club b/c it is WAY too hot to keep them in the car!

Each day we served Breakfast, Lunch and an A.M. and P.M. snack. In the future, we will just do and A.M./P.M. Snack and a Brunch. When you stay up until 4 A.M. Scrapping, not many people feel like breakfast at 9A.M.

We had fun designing and creating the cutsies for each day. We gave each person a welcome cooler on their beds full of little cups of different goodies. Then at their place settings, we had a basket full of fun goodies. Here are some photos of a few of the other cutsies:

We also made cute door tags to let everyone know where everyone else was staying.

Thank you Char for coming up with such a wonderful idea and for letting me work on it with you! I miss you so much already and I am definitely looking forward to next year!

Thank you Tiffany, Ryan and Bill for taking my kids for the 5 days so I could do this!

Thank you to my husband who financially (but not mentally) supports my crafting habits! :)

To all you croppers and crafters out there, I hope to see you in Palm Desert next year! Make sure to have Charise make you a Loco Moco drink!
