Can you believe July is halfway over? Seems like summer just started. I am have fully taken advantage of summertime while I enjoy a good book on the deck with my morning coffee.

Today, is the full design team reveal at Stick It Down for this month's card sketch.

Supplies: cardstock (Cardstock Warehouse), pattern paper (Simple Stories), die-cut (Pretty Little Studio), stamp (Hero Arts and ?), sequins (SpiegleMom Scraps), inks (Ranger and Hero Arts), stencils (Crafter's Workshop and Studio Calico), tools (We R Memory Keepers, Picket Fence Studios and Misti)

 Here is a closer look.

You have until the end of the month to play along with any - or all! - of our sketch challenges. Just post a link to your creation to the Stick It Down sidebar. If you share on social media, be sure to tag #StickItDown.

Sweet Birthday Card... SID Reveal

It is the 3rd Monday of the month and that means it is time for my card reveals for Stick It Down.

This month I created a card for my Grandma's upcoming birthday. Since she loves the color blue I thought this "paper" I picked out was perfect for her. Actually, this is not pattern paper but an old divider tab for an outdated Happy Planner.
Supplies: cardstock (Cardstock Warehouse), pattern paper (The Happy Planner), stamps (Crafters Companion,?) ink (Hero Arts), die (Heidi Swapp), label (Pretty Little Studio), Adhesive (the Tape Depot and Bearly Arts), Tools (Misti)

That glitter paper just added a little wow factor.

You have until the end of the month to play along with any - or all! - of our sketch challenges. Just post a link to your creation in our sidebar. If you share on social media, be sure to tag #StickItDown.

Cupcake Card

Hope everyone is feeling inspired today to create a card. This month's sketch at Stick It Down is fun that that allows a nice focal element.

I created a fun birthday card that was inspired by the watercolor dotted pattern paper.

Supplies: cardstock (Cardstock Warehouse), pattern paper (Studio Calico), washi tape (Studio G), embossing folder (?), stamp (Crafter's Companion), markers (Crafter's Companion), ink, (Altnew and Hero Arts) and tools (Misiti, Spellbinders, and Sizzix)

This stamp was another one I got for Christmas. It seemed perfect for the birthday card. I colored them with aqua makers from Crafter's Companion

Since I used the same pattern paper for all three banners I edged the two outer ones with pink ink.

Here is what you need to do if you want to play along. You have until the end of the month to play along with any - or all! - of our sketch challenges. Just post a link to your creation in the Stick It Down sidebar. If you share on social media, be sure to tag #StickItDown.

Hello... Stick It Down

Hello everyone. This month's card sketch at Stick It Down  is a clean design and can be used on any size of card, including the popular slimline.

I created a rustic style card, that floral paper is from a super old 6x6 paper pad from Crate Paper that has been in my stash for maybe 10+ years.

Supplies: cardstock (Cardstock Warehouse), pattern paper (Simple Stories and Crate Paper, die (Spellbinders), stamp (Crafter's Companion), ink (Hero Arts), embellishment (Studio Calico), mist (Heidi Swapp), washi tape (Pebbles)

I might have gone a little overboard on the misting. I originally wanted to do a few splatters but I couldn't unscrew the top so I misted it. In the end, I love how it came out.

I got some fun stamps for Christmas and this is one of my favorite so I had to use it inside of the card.

Here is what you need to do if you want to play along. You have until the end of the month to play along with any - or all! - of our sketch challenges. Just post a link to your creation in the Stick It Down sidebar. If you share on social media, be sure to tag #StickItDown.

August Stick It Down Reveal

Welcome to another card sketch reveal from Stick It Down. I am loving this month's sketch. It actually inspired me to create a pattern paper.
I love how this card came out. I am a little torn on who this card should be for, it is either to my grandpa or dad.
Supplies: cardstock (The Paper Studio), watercolor Paper (Faber-Castell), watercolor crayons (Faber-Castell), stamps (Stampabilities and Concord & 9th), ink (Tsukineko), markers (Crafter's Companion)

To create the pattern paper I watercolored the paper and then stamped it. After it dried I cut it into three panels.

I am back for another term on the card team at Stick It Down. This month's sketch is a great one and can be easily translated for different styles.
I opted to create this birthday card and which I already have a use for it. Here is to making cards and using them.
Supplies: pattern paper (MAMBI and Echo Park Paper Co.), stamp (Avery Elle), ink (Tsukineko), sequins( SpiegleMom Scraps), wood veneers (Jillibean Soup), washi tape (Scotch )

The base of the card is actually one of the tab dividers from an old Happy Planner. I love the gold with the marble print.

June SID

I am happy to share with your this month's card sketch that I created for Stick It Down. It is super simple, which I love sketches like this because they are fast but can easily be changed up.
This card was made because my brother needed a "Thank You" card to send to our grandparents for his birthday. I kept the design very clean, which I always seem to do when it is a card from or to a guy.

Supplies: cardstock (The Paper Studio), pattern paper (Crate Paper and KaiserCraft), washi tape (My Mind's Eye), die cut (Pretty Little Studio), stamp (Avery Elle), ink (Tsukineko), sequins (SpiegleMom Scraps)

I love the stamp from Avery Elle, this is where my brush lettering goals are. One of these days, I will get there but I need to find the time to practice.

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to head over to the Stick It Down blog for the full reveal, check out the sponsor and see the layout sketches.

Feb Stick it Down

I am glad the weekend is here because the deep freeze that hit Michigan a couple of days ago is gone. I don't like -15 temps and that was without the windchill.
Today's post is a quick reveal post of this month's card sketch at Stick It DownThis month's sponsor is Jenny at Scrappin Happy Studio. specializes in handmade scrapbook embellishments, such as flair epoxy. All my products are handmade in her home studio, in the beautiful state of Oregon!
You can visit Jenny at her Etsy store and on Instagram.
One winner will receive a $20 store credit to the Scrappin Happy Studio!

Here is my take on this sketch. I am planning on giving this card to my dad for Valentine's Day.
Supplies: cardstock (The Paper Studio and Colorbok), washi tape (Scotch Brand), manual die (Spellbinders), tools (Beautiful Mess, Cricut, Spellbinders, and MISTI), markers (Crafter's Companion, sticker (Pinkfresh Studio), stamp (Simon Says Stamp), and ink (Memento)

As you can see from this angle that I did a fun cut-out window with a manual die. I think this is the first time I ever did this on a card.

This stamp originally had a pizza slice in the dog's mouth but I masked it off when I stamped so I could have it holding a heart instead.

Be sure to play along with Stick It Down for your chance at winning the $20 prize certificate.

National Scrapbook Day Recap

Hello everyone, I took a little crafty hiatus in April so I didn't lose the creativity on National Scrapbook Day. I spent all day Saturday scrapbooking and still took breaks for cooking.

I got to do a scraplift and this page of my dad as a little boy has to be one of my favorite layouts that I had did that day.

I was able to get my past birthday scrapped.
The "celebrate" on the large photo is one that I brush-lettered. I am currently learning it and so far I am loving it.

The last set of pages I created was about Easter.
I had to make a card on this day. Of course, I created this and missed the deadline for entering it in the challenge.
