Poetry & Dr. Seuss.
Studying poetry in Language Arts today ~ the assignment is about forced rhymes. Griffin was to read a Dr. Seuss book and complete a written assignment about the book he chose to read. Dr. Seuss had a clever knack of inventing words and creatures and used forced rhyme very effectively.
I remember when I bought 'The Sneetches' for Griffin. He was in kindergarten and came home telling me all about the book. He asked if he could have a copy for home. I'm so glad we kept his collection of Dr. Seuss books!

Handmade Owl Halloween Costume
Y'all ~ I had SO much fun making this owl costume! It literally cost about $1.50 in felt to make. Everything used on this project I had on hand. I used a 10 year old black shirt out of the back of my closet and that black hat has been around forever! #ificanglueiticandoit #missymadeit

My boys made me a delicious cake for my birthday! My favorite ~ carrot cake with extra pecans! It is so beautiful and it tastes like fall! They even put it on my Pioneer Woman cake plate! And see the three pecans standing up? Mike said they made me a crown ~ what a perfect touch!!
And, Griffin made me the most BEAUTIFUL birthday banner! It was the BEST gift, ever!!
