I made a trip to Guelf the other day - sorry, didn't take any cameras (though, I did use the iPhone camera) - with Chris to visit Mars.
It turns out that there are many animals at the place the she lives in! She has 2 ferrets. But, there's a cat, and a dog.
And, I must say that I loved playing with the dog. It's a Border Collie!
And, it was smart. He understood commands, and Chris taught it to give him his paw using the chinese 'hand hand' command. It was great!! My first time playing with a Border Collie.
So smart!!! I want a Border Collie now!
And, my first time going to guelf. small, small town.

Love for the Outdoors
Today was such a beautiful day, I'm so glad that I decided to go outside to a run, and then outside again for another walk. I wish I had my bike to rip down the sidewalk (because I'm not ready to go on the road yet).
I want to bike on a dirt road, and go over bumpy things. It woudl be so m=nice to be able to do this with my biking partner. And, i want to Kayak too! The last time I kayaked, and had an awesome time was about a year ago in Windsor. Ever since Pelee Wings (the Kayak rental shop), I've been chasing after that feeling of Kayaking into the open waters. Of course, not that I would really, unless I'm sure I can Kayak 10km back to shore. Or, unless I have a motor in the Kayak, so I can dump it in the water and motorize myself back to shore. :P
I'll be heading downtown to Cylepath to check out my bike, well, hopefully my bike. If all goes well. And then, a good lock to go with it. And, a helmet. W000t! Then, my biking partner will need to get a bike rack, to put the bikes on the car - to take them to nice biking places. So many things to do - so little time!

My First Fishing Trip
I got back not long ago from Port Perry. It's west of the town of Markham along HWY7 and is about a 60-70Km drive away from home, i.e. approx. 50min drive at 80-90kmh.
Hei and I took off for Port Perry at around 2pmish this afternoon and didn't leave the Port until staying htere for a good 4 hours.
And, i must say my very first fishing trip as an adult was very positive!!! It was a very windy, but good experience - I'm really happy about that!
Guess how many fish i caught?
.. seriously, guess a number, any number.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
you probably didn't guess it. the number is:
ZERO!!!! the BIG OH!
Nope, we didn't catch a THING! neither of us! Actually, it makes me feel a bit better that Hei didn't get anything either. Because, if she did - i think my competitive side would feel so STOMPED... yes, now you all know how childish and immature i am.
The best part by far was being able to ride the little motorboat out into the open lake. No, it wasn't big at all. [it being both the boat AND the lake or pond, or whatever it was that we were fishing in] And, i think it would have been fun to canoe or kayak (they have rentals there for that too!
There was this ONE spot where i casted the rod, and... oh my, oh my!! the first time i felt a TUG!!! and, the bloke behind me saw the tug too!!! SO, i guess it's not just seaweed, ot grass, or whater 'forest' they have down there in the water. You see, Hei kept fishing tons and tons of it - so much, she claimed that she was fishing and hauling in a forest when she reeled. Too funny!
anyways, maybe we'll be able to do this again some time!

Canada Day 2008
What a day!!
Started off taking a dear friend to the airporto!
And, as I was driving, I forgot that there would be more OPP's on the 400 series (highways) and up in the air! I got to my friend's house, the airport and back home FAST. like, REALLY fast. the whole round trip took about 70mins. Well, lucky me there were no OPP's on my way in - and on most of the way out. About 5km away from my highway exit home, mum tells me that I should speed because a lot of the POPO's will have their radars out on the hunt.
Well, the reason why I headed home in such a rush was so that I could head out with my family for a picnic at Ashbridges Bay, also known as: Woodbine Beach! And WOW, it was gorgeous!! Not to mention the ridiculous 35 minute parking hunt and 20minute walk from parking spot to beach - it was all worth it! The weather was a killer! It was absolutely amazing! I wish you were there to see it and feel it!
Mom made us potato salad, and we had bread, ham, lettuce and mayo/mustard to make our sandwiches. we were all very hungry by the time our picnic cloth was set out, and we all ate quite a bit! It was nice to sit there in the sun with my parents and brother. And, we played RUMMY-O! It's a number game where the objective is to get rid of all your number cards. But, in order to do so, you must be able to lay out your cards in patterns, or make patterns out of your cards and the ones that are on the table. You need to use your brain a littl ebit for this one - and sometimes, it's really draining.
We headed home 2 hours later (and i wish we didn't leave so soon) because dad had an appointment.
After bummung about a few hours at home playing some old school Guitar Hero II, washing the dishes, and drying our wet tents (from the rainy camping over the weekend) it was time to head out again! We were going over to a family friend's for korean BBQ (or something like that). It turned out that we were invited RIDICULOUSLY early... only to find that there was really nothing to do. And, i did something a little disrespectful, but the story is long, and I don't feel the desire to type it out here - but bottom line is, i drove myself along with my brother home - to fold some clothes and do some 'home' stuff.
45mins after getting home, we headed out again. This time back to the friend's house, but this time i was dropping my brother off. I had plans elsewhere :P
Though the food i consumed for dinner is really of a different calibre (meaning, i think i sacrificed quite a good meal), spending time with the person I wanted to was totally worth it. I love it when he cooks, even if its something simple. Something from canned goods. It makes me hungry for it. And, i ate quite a lot. I normally don't get second helpings, but i did. And, more than just a second helping!
We watched the fireworks from his rooftop together. Romantic.
A moment that I've wanted since my trip to Hong Kong.
it was relaxing to lean on him, to have him hold me in his arms against the wind while we watched the fireworks plow and explode in the sky form afar.
The ice-cream waffle cone we shared after was very nice too.
and, so are the two 1-litre pre-packs sitting in the fridge downstairs.

Canada's Wonderland
What an eventful day (and night, and last night as well!!)
Hopefully, some pictures will eventually be posted up on my blog - finally some pictures of MYSELF you say!!
Last night, I stayed at Hei's place. And, i LURRRVE it! I love her cats - they're beautiful, and so adorable. I just wish they'd jump right next to me and sleep beside me while i'm sleeping so that I can have something fuzzzzy to hold :P But of course, pets do that to 'mommy' or 'daddy' usually, and i'm not their 'mommy', Hei is. ^^
Didn't sleep too well, but unfortuantely, I wasn't the only one. See, like you say, i think we would have both slept better if we had slept together. Well, we'll learn for next time!!
The morning came just way too quickly, and i managed to drag my ass out of bed (or the REALLY comfy sofa, and i mean really comfy) and took a mini-journey to Oakville, where admist our wait, we have Timmy's for breakfast. Mmmmhmmmm, a big, fat greasy Breakfast Sandwich (the bagel one): egg, cheese and sausage. Dellllicious! Sure did energize me for a while.
Another drive, and we arrived at Canada's Wonderland *insert pretty picture here*. Actually, by the time we are IN the park, it's already past 11am. By 'we' i'm referring to a party of 5: hei, joy, ken, ter, me.
We managed to squeeze in 2-3 rides before grabbing lunch at 1, and lo and behold, it begins to thunder and of course, lightening strikes across the sky. We didn't see this though, since we were eating lunch inside a cafe. We found out when we got to a ride, and they were "Temporarily Closed until the weather permits". Strange, since there was no rain or any sign of wet weather.
Then, it bagan to rain. Heavily. we ranback to the car from Minebuster. And did that hurt my feet - i was wearing flip-flops and eventually ran with them in my hands.
Hanging out in the car was nice - blasting loud music and singing at an equal volume. The rain passed and we went back in and went on another marathon of rides.
The best ride by far was the new ride: Behemoth. And wow, was i scared. My legs started shaking the 2nd big drop down, and kept shaking, but i was forced to disregard it and keep my feet pressed firmly against the narrow foot support to ensure that i didn't lose both peices of flip-flop footwear. With the wind whipping at my face and watery eyes from the force from rushing down, I couldn't help but curse when we dropped. I wonder if Hei heard. Probably not :P the screams were deafening.
Rides I also went on: Mini-Cooper Stunt Ride, the Rage, Thunder Run, The Fly, Vortex, Wild Beast (twice).
And, exhausted and spent, we left for dinner at around 7.35pm and had some good ol' chinese food near where i live. And, about an hour ago was dropped back home.
Sigh. And, a good kind of sigh. not the bad kind.
what a day. it was good. and, i had a lot of fun.
Thanks.
