The End... And A New Beginning!

I started this blog almost four and a half years ago, when I was still in too much pain to live a proper life. It gave me something to do, and through it I have learned a lot, and connected with people all over the world. Now it's been eleven years since I injured myself, and I feel I'm really coming back to life again now that the pain has disappeared so much I can actually go out in the world and DO stuff! This is amazing! But on the other hand I find it harder and harder to find time to write blog posts. So, with this - my 804th post - I have decided to stop blogging... At least over here at Miss Meadows' Pearls. I while ago I created a proper website where I have both my modelling portfolio and burlesque videos collected in one place. So, to still have somewhere to share pictures from photo shoots I do, and other projects, I have added a blog to my new site. This means I will post a lot more seldom than I have been doing here, but still have a place to share myself and what I love doing with anyone interested in following me.

To everyone who has been following this blog, or just popped in to read it now and then - THANK YOU!!! You're the reason I've been spending so much time searching for interesting things to write about, and then actually putting the posts together. I hope you'll follow me over to my new place!

Whenever I do a new post on my new blog, I will announce it on Instagram and Facebook, so if you join me there, you will know when there's something new to read.

I have already written my first post on my new blog, with photos from a shoot I did a couple of weeks ago. So, if you care to join me, follow the link below!

Summer Shoot

During the summer it's usually at least a little bit warmer than during the winter here in Sweden. So this time of the year it feels completely ok to do photo shoots with less clothes on than three layers of fur coats. One sunny day I got together with photographer Peter Nilsson to do a shoot, and here is the result!

New Outfit (And How To Eat Cookies Like A Lady)...

Every girl needs a good ninja outfit. This us mine! It's slim and really easy to move in, which makes it perfect for kicking ass! Haha!

Since I got both pieces in black, it looks like a pantsuit, but it's actually capri pants and a top - both from Pinup Girl Clothing's line Deadly Dames. They both exist in several different colors, so you can really mix and match with these two pieces.

After an enjoyable visit at my chiropractor for some bone cracking and acupuncture I headed over to Lenore Caine's place. As both me and Lenore work as alternative models, we've become really good at posing in front of the camera - as can be seen above. I think any cookie company would be proud to have us as their brand ambassadors! Then we played Wii and cuddled with the cat.

This is Myysan. As she's super cuddly and kept moving around, being cute, it wasn't easy to get a good picture of her paws. What I wanted to show you is that she has thumbs! This probably facilitates handling an iPhone, which she obviously does since she has her own Instagram account - @theofficialmyysan. It was a good day...

Septum...

For some time now I've been thinking about getting a septum piercing, and last week I finally went to Platinum Ink Piercing Company and did it!

Here Simon has just pressed the needle through my nose. It hardly hurt at all, but it still triggered the tear canals to start running. Haha!

I was a a bit disappointed it didn't hurt more than it did, but as soon as I got a glass of rosé wine in my hand I felt better! As I'm not allowed to have a visible septum at my part time job, I had to put in a retainer during the weeks it takes for it to heal. You can see the two tips of it sticking out of my nose in that lovely cry-pic to the left. But then Simon turned those ends upwards - and voilà - it disappeared and will heal completely hidden inside my nose! A septum is a pretty "easy" piercing to get, as you don't have to worry about visible scars on your face if you decide to take it out one day.

Fanny had come with me to take memorable pictures of my "nose surgery", and enjoy the wine with me. She has added some tattoos to her skin this last year. Look at that gorgeous chest piece!

When it's healed and I can put in another nose ring, I want something pretty and feminine, like the one above from Body Candy for example. We'll see...

New Website

If you follow me on Facebook or Instagram you might already know this. But for you others I just wanted to say I have finally taken the time to create my own website! One place where I have my modeling portfolio (uncensored), burlesque pics and videos, a bit about myself and how to get in contact. Many people has asked me where they can see my photos and videos, and if I have an official website, and well, now I do! I used Wix to create it, and it was really easy and fun to put it all together!

30s Picnic Shoot

In my last post I promised to show you the result of the 30s photo shoot I wrote about then. And here it is! My co-models are Lenore Caine and Emma Green. Standing behind the camera is photographer Miss Kryseis!

30s Shoot And Tipsy Models...

Usually when I do shoots I'm the only model on set, but a couple of weeks ago we were three in front of the camera! My co-models were Lenore Caine and Emma Green, and our photographer was Miss Kryseis

The theme of the shoot was "picnic in the 1930s", so I put on my 30s-inspired dress from Stop Staring.

Then we headed out to our location - the romantic Eco Temple in the Royal Haga Park. It was a lovely, sunny day, with spring warmth in the air.

Miss Kryseis' idea of a picnic in the 30s was girls sitting on a blanket playing cards while smoking and drinking, so she had brought the best photo prop ever - Marquis de Sade Champagne! Lenore opened the bottle like a boss, without hitting anyone with the cork!

I have never gotten tipsy during a shoot before, but this is how happy we were after finishing both the shoot and the bottle. This is how being a model should always be! Haha!

Here is a behind the scenes pic, when we were fooling around. This is what happens when you give the models champagne... On Wednesday I'll show you how the proper photos turned out!

Burlesque Ballet Shoot

I've done several shoots with photographer Charlotte Hall. We've always done our shoots outside though, so we decided to go indoors for once, to do a burlesque ballet session! The result is a mix of classic ballet pictures, and a few that goes more towards my burlesque occupation. VoilĂ !

Radioactive Camera...

Last May I did a shoot with photographer Jan Persson. He always use several different cameras during our photo sessions, and I've already shown you the Polaroids from this shoot. If you want to see those, go here! But that day Jan also used a Graflex camera from the 50s, with a Kodak Aero Ektar lens. These lenses are slightly radioactive (but not harmfully so), and were used during WWII in reconnaissance missions. They were originally made for military purposes by Kodak, who sold them to the US ministry of defense for around 800 USD a piece - which was also what a Chevrolet would have cost in those days...

I love getting the opportunity to stand in front of cool old cameras like this one! You have to stand very still during the process of just taking one picture though! Otherwise it gets blurry. Here are the photos Jan took of me with that radioactive old thing. Haha!

PS. A fallen tree makes a great ballet barre!

One Photo...

When I have written about different burlesque events here, I have mostly used pictures by photographer John-Paul Bichard. He is a very talented photographer who's always working on some new, exciting project. Except for the pics he has taken of me during burlesque performances, I have wanted to do a proper shoot with him for a long time. Right now he's working on something amazing, together with an artist, and when he asked me if I wanted to be part of it, I - of course - said yes! As a thank you for throwing my clothes off for his camera (yep, I'm naked again... Haha!), he also took a portrait of me after the main shoot. This one...

With the dark background, soft light, and the fact that I'm hardly wearing any makeup, it reminds me of an old baroque or renaissance painting. I'm also wearing a long pearl necklace entwined in my hair. But that was to get the right look for the project we did the shoot for. Unfortunately I can't tell you more about this project yet, as it's not ready to be shown to the world. I actually haven't seen much of it myself. So we all have to wait...

Accessories: Leather Gloves, A Riding Crop.... And A Cat

A while ago I did a shoot with photographer Jonas Mattsson. The location was his apartment, and since he has a cat - Nina - I ended up with her as a co-model. She was very curious about what we were doing and found my riding crop to be a fun toy. As she was running in front of the camera all the time, we let her be part of a few of the photos.

The only light we used was the sun shining in through the window, and the lingerie I'm wearing in most of the photos are from Dita Von Teese's lingerie collection Von Follies. And here is the result!

Nina playing with my crop...

This pic was taken through the glass of an open window.

I love this last photo! While Jonas was changing the film in his camera I was cuddling with Nina. Just when she gave me a good head boop he snapped this pic. I wasn't ready for it at all! Haha!

From Photo To Painting

I've posted photos by photographer Pelle Piano here before, and shown you what a photoshop wizard he is. Now he has transformed a few of the photos he's taken of me into paintings. I think they're amazing, and it's almost scary what you can do with a computer these days... Oh well, here they are!

Thinking about selling these to the Louvre. Haha!
