Long weekend ♥

no news from them, i should have known :(

anyway seems like the train crowd is getting worse. and i was and still am disgusted by the sight of the human jam every morning and afternoon and evening and night. i understand..that maybe you are in a hurry or you just wanna get home quickly but dont the others want the same too? just dont push, whats so difficult about that? and wait, for maybe a minute for the passengers to alight..will 1 minute kill? and move in, you only have to move yr precious gold-made feet a few steps into the middle of the train so that more people can enter, whats so difficult about that?

standing right in front doesnt mean you will get in first anyway. sometimes the crowd in front of me got into the train so im left there, in the front, waiting for the other train but guess what.. sometimes im still the last to enter because while i stand aside for people to come out, people behind me already come before me and going in from the middle and then the people inside have a hard time coming out. what do you gain from that?

i wonder.

I need a monitor / new laptop!

okay, i am proud to announce that my laptop screen is officially dead. well maybe not exactly dead but, its all red and pink and bright and little blur. i really have no idea wad am i gonna do without my laptop.

anyway, the week is ending. yay!

typical tuesday night

i really dislike taking trains in the morning. when u board the train, dun just look left and right and take ur time to walk in/choose which side u wanna go to. both sides are the same, got space jus stand becos u will still get to alight and people behind u need to board the train. and dun jus stand at the door becos even if u stand inside, u also will get to alight. also when the train haven stop and its very squeezy alr, dun need to excuse me 5mins before the train enter the station. u will get ur chance to alight.

a friend's msn nick says "it's better to give than to receive"... quite true indeed.

today's lesson is to type a blog entry without punctuations i hope jiahui will laugh when she reads my blog later i saw a small black dead lizard in the pantry today surprisingly i wasnt scared or shocked i even tapped my feet to see whether it is dead or alive darling called me a few times today im so happy darling's mom invited me over for dinner and made delicious soup for me which is also good for my body i am going to start gyming next week w my friend hopefully i can slim down and also grow healthier at the same time i miss darling so much i cant wait to see his lovely handsome face on saturday i hope he is doing fine i hope he is eating and sleeping fine i hope he is alright i hope his leg will stop giving him problems i love you sweetheart see you soon & friday is coming yay

Okay so I am done with SP but not quite done, somehow. So this is how 3 years of poly life ends? End of a major exam paper, one by one leaving the exam hall with just a casual goodbye like as if we're seeing each other tomorrow. Kinda reminds me of secondary school's graduation night - so much sobbing and goodbyes. Somehow that last day of school was different. Why do I even think about it? -.-

February was a rather tough month. Projects and tests and major exams. But it had also been quite a good month for me, somehow. It all ends here. So being an unofficial graduate, I have been wasting my time at home. Sleeping till late afternoon and watch movies and Gossip Girl on my laptop all day and sleep in the morning. I need to readjust myself back somehow, ASAP, because all these slacking has to end soon. Not quite soon, after my week of fun coming. :D

i don't know what i am doing online at this hour. probably still fretting about jobs, further studies, relationships, money, marriage, and life...or probably just waiting for darling to go to bed then i'll do the same too. he's been sleeping so little these days cause of his school work and it pains me to see him this tired. hope things will go easier for him after submission of the flash project, while i'll try to help as much as i can. i miss sleeping next to him, covering his blanket for him and exchanging good night kisses. i just love him. =)

i should be studying but i am not and paper is on monday and wednesday. both papers weightage quite heavy...i need some motivation. i'm in love with the song above, don't know why. it's repeating on my playlist.

i believe many too received a letter from ntu like i did. should i register to attend the talk or not? i cant decide whether to study or work first. and i cant decide what i want to study. accountancy is my first option. as for career wise, i want to be a teacher. i hate growing up. so many things to think about, so many decisions to make. something about me that everyone must know: i hate making decisions. and i am very impatient.

but before i go into that, i guess i have to first worry about my school. i might need to forward module. oh well, wish me luck.

went to the chinese doctor today, said it could possibly be because of too much intake of food that contains bean or something like that hence the infection. didnt go to school today and am not going tomorrow. i had to walk with an umbrella and had to have darling support me everywhere, even to the toilet. and bring me water, food and everything. =x

got my lappy reformatted today. but surprisingly, my songs and movies are still in there. and most of my other install files. =/ but it cant read chinese characters now. :(

and this is my medicine. it has a super disgusting smell and it is super bitter. hate pills, hate all sorts of medicine. especially chinese medicine.

There may be a number of reasons for there to be pain in the ear when a throat infection is ensuing.

Initially there may be a perfectly logical explanation, i.e., that the Eustachian tube which runs from the middle ear cavity to the back of the nasopharynx and throat is blocked due to the infection which is appearing in the throat. If the tube is blocked then the natural drainage from the middle ear of mucus does not occur as it should. Normally, with a fully functioning Eustachian tube, every time you swallow or yawn, the isthmus (narrowest point) in the Eustachian tube opens via the tensor veli palatini muscle, which is also responsible for tensing of the soft palate of the mouth. Thus when you swallow the tube opens and shuts allowing mucus and air to flow through the tube and equalisation of pressure between the middle and outer ear.

When the tube is not functioning correctly due to too much mucus build up preventing it from opening, then there can be resulting pain in the ear. This pain tends to be from pressure, causing the ear drum, or tympanic membrane, to become distended. The reason for this change in pressure is due to the mucus in the middle ear cavity using up the oxygen in the small amount of air in the cavity. Normally the air is replaced every swallow or yawn, but when the tube is not functioning correctly the oxygen is quickly exhausted.

The other reason for the pain may be what is called referred pain. This is a more complicated issue which is related to the nerves in the head. There are twelve pairs of cranial nerves and some which innervate the throat run through the ear on their way to the neck. Nerves are very small and their ability to locate pain exactly can sometimes be a little poor. If there is severe pressure on a nerve in the throat due to swelling from an infection, this pressure and thus pain can be referred, by the nerve, to another location on it's length. This can also happen with headaches and neck pains. If there is pressure on the nerve elsewhere then referred pain can occur.

If this is a problem which you are suffering form, I would advise you to see your audiologist or GP initially to confirm if the pain is in the ear due to Eustachian tube dysfunction or if it is indeed referred form elsewhere. The usual treatment for the tube dysfunction would be decongestant either in a medical form or that of steam inhalation, which helps to unstuck the tube and restore normal function. Referred pain would of course require treatment of the source not the location, i.e. the throat infection needs to be treated and not the ear pain.

i have a very bad sore throat! i think it is sore throat. when i swallow, the left side of my throat and my ears will pain. left ear leh. why throat pain ear also will pain? and i touched both sides of my neck and feel as if my left side is swollen compared to my right. whats wrong man. =(

i hope this time we made the right decision. will we be happy?

monday blues

its definitely not my day today.

i woke up late with a bad headache. met up with colleagues for lunch and headed to the office to collect my pay cheque. headed to ocbc to get the cash and yes! i finally feel some sut-ness. that i have some cash on me finally. :/ headed to haji lane. have always wanted to go there, for no special reason. just wanted to go there. but didnt have the feel to shop/look at anything when i reached. headed to marina, did nothing there actually. then headed to taka. had crystal jade with serchin. then headed to kino. i got myself 3 books. =)

sian once i think about wednesday and thursday. brrr. time to start reading. and i donated 5 bucks to get the cute small lil christmas hat. :D

Dinner last night at Darling's. Had pizza, by his mum.
It's yummy! :D
