trying to switch my blog over from mermaid to missa. let's hope I
can do it without making the whole blog disappear. that would be bad.
in
the meantime, here are some quick updates. I knit this hat from 100%
alpaca fiber. Oh. My. Goodness. It is the softest, most luxurious
thing ever. And it looks awesome, too. Soon... soon I will making
many, many more of these with my own fiber. Hopefully I will be getting
some fiber tomorrow that I will be able to send in to be processed.
Stay tuned for that!
Let's
see, what else. Oh I went to get peaches off our peach tree in our old
yard and all the peaches were gone. Boo hoo. I got about 15 peaches.
Still the best peaches IN THE WORLD. Somebody got lucky this year.
They better have made something wonderful out of them. So that was a
good excuse to come home and make Cody order a peach tree. Let's have
one even better where we are now. And let's plant it in the back yard this time. Anyway, I made
fruit leather from them and used wax paper instead of parchment, and
apparently there's a difference because it all stuck to the paper and I
had to throw it away... sparkly tears :*( I also got a small amount of
tomatoes and canned them up for chili this winter. This is the kitchen in
the midst. It looks like someone got shot. Not a great canning
experience this year all in all.
This is Chanelle. She looks like a miniature camel. She so wants to be loved, but stays just out of reach.
Here is our littlest farmer. Probably the best one out of all of us.
