Rodriguez Jr. - Bittersweet EP

Released in the 5th of September of 2011, among so much good stuff arriving our headquarters this month, we almost forgotten to mention this amazing release that's supposed to be a glimpse of Rodriguez Jr. first album, also on Mobilee.

From Mobilee, needless to say, established by Anja Schneider and runned by Anja herself and Ralf Kollman, nothing except quality in every release. It's one of those cases where you see it coming and think "this is damn good" when you didn't even listened to it! From the roost we can mention Pan-Pot or Sebo K, but that's only a minor detail, it's indeed a label we cherish alot overhere. They have their way of doing things, and that way is quality, charisma and essence!

So, applying more words about Rodriguez Jr., Mobilee or anything related to this crew is just wasting letters and space overhere, there's not even the need to reinforce all our thinking about all this.

"Bittersweet" EP is here to remind Us there's a big album on the way, and what better way to remind than releasing some very nice tracks to put some "pepper" on the teaser stuff? It's not bitter, can assure that, it's more sweet "á la Rodriguez Jr." way! "Bittersweet" works pretty well, teases everything in a soft and smooth way, one of those tracks simply perfect to began with. Then comes "Music Don't Lie feat. Cari Golden", and well, them both don't lie about the fact Rodriguez Jr. is on a good peak of production and that Cari Golden is becoming one of the most sensual and smoothful piercing voices on the scene, undoubtly! Then comes "Massilia", maybe my pick from this EP, so beautiful, so polished and sculptured among mid synth frequencies that deliver a trippy happiness feeling, resuming, one of those to keep an eye in the sun rising! To close this "teaser" in the better way, why not "Bagpipe Woman", to joke a little bit on the scene and just put a deep smile on your face? Let's face it, an amazing and round release, featuring a sexy voice... no more words needed about this!

Mobilee Back To Back Remixes, Part I & II

Mobilee Back to Back lovers looking to take a lick from the ladle of Miss Jools’ upcoming Back to Back Vol. 3 compilation CD are in store for some extra flavor stirred in from vol. 3 remix artists, Nick Curly and Efdemin (mobilee 048) and D´Julz and Christian Burkhardt (mobilee 049). This 4 amazing producers deliver some of the most refined mnml u can have! Massive production, unmissable to all our readers

Nick Curly of 8Bit and Cécille Records boldly pulls the background beats of “Diva” forward, creating an explosion of cheerful melody. A central figure of the Mannheim sound, Curly has a knack for fresh releases and trippy sound. The B-side of this teaser welcomes Efdemin remixing „Moved feat. Prosumer“, a track softly bringing deeper, loungy house melodies into swing. While some artists only go skin deep, Efdemin goes deeper with a sense of detail and abstractness. Both artists have finely remixed the cream of the crop of Sebo K’s best releases. ”Diva” (mobilee043) received widespread acclaim from a variety of publications, placing in Resident Advisor’s ”Top 30 tracks of 2008,’ in Mixmag at 25, Beatportal at four and in Beatport as the eighth ranking house track of the year. “Moved feat. Prosumer” was placed at number 14 in De:Bug back in 2006. The carefully hand-picked Sebo K tracks are just an exclusive teaser for what’s in store for the entire CD (Mobilee Back to Back Vol. 3)

D’Julz of Ovum, Pokerflat and Intacto Records remixed GummiHz’s 2007 one-of-kind release and turned it into nothing short of a dance floor phenomenon. Of course, nothing less could be expected from a man who has been around the world and back since 1992 playing in the most legendary clubs before the most legendary scensters. D’Julz certainly has the qualification and experience of what it takes to make a party a paaarty!
Christian Burkhardt of Oslo, raum…musik and Remote Area Records took one of Anja Schneider’s more mellow and somber tunes from her spooky Beyond the Valley album, which ranked third in the charts of Groove Magazine, and give it a powerful face lift. The hard baseline and repetitive foot-stomping beat is exactly the kind of techno flair that Burkhardt embodies in his music.

Marc Antona - Simple Venus

Following works realized by Sebo K, Marcin Czubala and Gummihz, Mobilee Records present us this extraordinary, deeply worked, vinyl. Marc Antona has previously took presence in labels like Micro-fibres, freak n chic and also Sender Records - label in witch he show us a magnificent work named Blind tested. In this new work composed by two tracks he is able to transfer an enormous power and energy, maybe inspired in his Sender 073. One of them - Simple Venus - is gathered by a constant click of two weird tones, starting with an accelerated rhythm, then a pause followed by it’s natural recycling. It’s excellent for a brain wash during a critical mind state. In the flipside of the ep it’s a well more powerful “Give me flowers” applying new situations in the right time managing to enter in the same patterns of the first track with the so called “natural recycling after the break”. It also has a great bassline composed by two distinguishable moments making the track very accessible to the dancefloor, you will start to dance and don’t even know it!

And.Id - One is Not Enough

After a month, Mobilee comes to present a new album. This time is the greek Andreas Dimitriadis aka And.Id, who after launched great works on labels like Thinner or Ware, comes now to dignify the name of this german label. We can also enjoy the done work by Anja Schneider, in a great album "Beyond the Valley", introducted like week sugestion... Back to Andreas Dimitriadis work, making a fantastic ep including two songs. "One is not enough" it's a very shiny minimal, very like Mobilee style, with his very own personalized rhythm and a milimetric grow measure, small ultralight rays infractions, a song with a big spirit full of surprises, with two really particular souls. "The Island", a deep-minimal with a regular presence of small melodies kind of And.Id styles, very paused and definity enraised on mobilee scene.

Exercise One - Intensity

It was being difficult to arrange an Exercise One release that I'd like... Despite being one of my favorite artists their last releases weren't that good... but this time, at mobilee records, Marco Freivogel & Ingo Gansera created a fantastic Ep. "Intensity", a side track, has all the condiments to be perfect at the dancefloors.. It has a minimal start and than it goes evolving to minimal techno standards. The rhythm is constructed with a powerful bass line presented in a spectacular beat... on and on 'till the end! Far from any doubt's... the best music i heard from this guys in a long time. In the b side the Berlin duo developed a deeper track, not as groovy as the other, but still.. a good and nice track. "Ceremony" might not attract you in the first times but, in the end, you will notice that this is a good hypnotic minimal puncher! Nice acid melody after 3.44minutes and than the Ceremony begins... wow! This one had to be released by Mobilee Records, one of the greatest labels of our times.

Sebo K - Far Out

Sebo K is my choice for today. I usually like his music but this time, in this edition of Mobilee Record, he really shown his amazing potential. Far Out transcends you into another dimension... a huge chord during the music, an hypnotic feeling... the amazing old school bassline, the "step by step" construction, it all works out to be one of the best works from mr. Sebo K. Enjoy this deep funky techno master piece, it will work perfectly on the dancefloors. A limited one-sided edition... Grab it soon!!

Exercise One - Darkstar Ep

Exercise One... hum?!
Here in Minimaland, we're considering the hipothesys of adopt them as one of our favourites Producers, lol! A new great release from time to time and "Hugo, what's this? - Exercise One, then Francis says - Them again.. and I think, what the f*ck! always these guys!" The truth is they're always a surprise.. Since "Flight Cancelled", a soft chain in melody that pulls you, I follow their work and the sensation they leave is that they're making their own way .
In this Ep, "Dark Star", the first track, Dark Star is a progressive Bassline from the beggining till the end but with that bass that conducts your body, and I just can't stop my body, even if it's a finger! At the middle of it, a reverbed sound beggins eating your brains and then a voice come to eat the rest :) But a very worked track, the estructures and schemes of the sounds make you enter in a spiral with no return. Great progressive track to "stick" an audience to a construction part in a set to build a "nirvana".

Now's the best part. The second Track, "Melting" is more soft without being softly. If you ear it in surround, the sounds came from everywhere. I just adore this track, for me one of the bests this year! I could describe it for you, but my feeling in this track is undescritible. If you hear it, you'll know why I'm saying this :P

It's progressive, it's technique, it's "Bassy", it's polyrithmic, it's MinimaL, it's techy... it's almost everything I desired in a Ep.
I'll give a 4.9 in a 5 scale for this one :)

Marco Resmann - Watercolour

Fresh new release on Mobilee, Marco's Resmann - aka Phage - firt's album with his own signature. A complete album, that we normally are used to in this label. Pure class music gathering a pannel of different watercolours and painting a perfect draw. Gouache, the a side is extremely emotional, starting way deep and rising up during the all 9 minutes of what becomes a unique journey. "old school" style - harmony & perfection... just feel it. I can bet that this will be in the playlists of the good ones! The b side - Tempera - is another perfect one. the build up of the music is more dark and minimal and evolves in that way. Detroit's old style, house music or what was supposed to be in the better days... i loved it.

Pan Pot - Black Lodge

"The Black Lodge is known as the extradimensional mystery place in David Lynch´s "Twin Peaks". We don´t want to know Pan-Pot´s exact relationship to Laura Palmer - but the new mobilee release contains two extradimensional tracks that contain countless rooms with endless sound creations. It´s the third Pan-Pot Release on mobilee and it seems that the boys are on the mission to create their very own shelf in the minimal techno circus. A1 - Black Dog is produced by Marco Resmann, Tassilo Ippenberger and Thomas Benedix. The Dog is digging a deep hole in the dirt. He is sure he hide the big bone at this place. He is digging and digging::: and finally he found what he was looking for. Just imagine the smile on the dog face. "It seems you look like a dog." B1 - Black Widow is produced by Pan-Pot´s Tassilo & Thomas. Black Widow is a very playful track with a lot of changes in different directions. The Widow is spinning it´s small net bouncing from one end to the other. The atmospheric final is the most beautiful sound landscape we have heard in the last time. For those who know - only a very famous musician from Detroit could have done it better". ... in soulseduction.com

Perfect soulseduction review to the Ep of the year - till now - my humble opinion...

a1 - Black Dog
b1 - Black Window

Exercise One - Debaya

Keeping the feeling of the last post i'll present to you now a pure genuine tech house release.

Press review for mobile 011:
It´s the 2nd relase on mobilee for the two beat wizards “M Freebird” and “Gansera” better known as Exercise One. “Debaya” and “Flight Cancelled” hit the dancefloor with deep bass and heavy synth lines, dark melodic parts and euphoric breaks. Both tracks are tested during live gigs all over Europe. From the moment Exercise One appears on the stage they catch the audience. This is what the new 12” is made from. Less blubby minimal more dancy techno.
