SOS: Getting Sentimental

Welcome to another fabulous week of stash-shopping fun at Shopping Our Stash!  This week, Chris is our hostess with the mostest, and she is encouraging us to make the sentiment your focus! 

Here's my submission:

Supplies:

• These letter stickers are many years old by Basic Grey (my fave)
• The greenery is from Tim's mini greenery dies, cut from a French dictionary from the 1800s and affixed with matte Mod Podge
• The background panel is a scrap from my MILs old stationary

This is a thank you for once of the people who helped plan my MIL's memorial, which is today.

I love these!  I saw a shirt on Pinterest that said this:

Supplies:

• DOx in Peacock Feathers, Faded Jeans, and Black Soot inked onto craft mat and a Jane Davenport brush pen used to write and color
• Rhino is an old foam stamp found at the elementary... You would not believe the layers of ink on this thing... I wiped it multiple times with a baby wipe, then inked it with Ranger Archival in Jet Black
• Recollections card stock in back

Here's another card made for the school staff:

Supplies:

• Main background panel is alcohol ink in Sailboat Blue and Meadow
• Corners snipped with a Fiskars punch
• Base panel is kraft inked with Salty Ocean and Peeled Paint
• DCWV two-sided paper cut with Tim's sentiment die, then sanded with Testers sand paper
• Tim's wildflowers cut from white packing cardboard
• Heishi beads from Africa (which are flat like sequins...)

Feather birthday

I'm making birthday cards for the school staff.  This was a quickie:

Supplies:

• DIs in Peacock Feathers, Festive Berries, Dried Marigold, and Evergreen Bough
• Crafters Workshop stencil laid over top and sprayed with water
• The Paper Studio feathers (the one is very shiny gold)
• Twine from stash
• Tim's Metallic Quotations
• Coredination cardstock

11 months 'til December!

Last year, I stored my Xmas box on a high shelf in the craft shack and the result was: few Xmas cards through the year!  So I'm keeping it down low this year because I love Xmas year-round!

• The glitter on the snowman card is Stampendous on Glossy Accents
• The glitter on the Santa card is Stickies

SOS: Something Old and Something New!

Hello!

Hope you've had a great first week of 2018... 51 weeks to go this year!

This week at Shopping Our Stash, we are celebrating the old as well as the new!  We'd like you to use something from your stash, and also something new. 

Here are my cards representing old and new:

Supplies:

• The old: 
• Both the green papers on these cards are multiple years old, and I think the lighter green is probably 5-7 years old.  They were both scraps in my scrap bin. 
• The studs at the corners of the second card are many years old also.  I have fears that the adhesive isn't so adhesive anymore.  The packaging is long-gone, but I think Recollections made these.
• The green panels were inked with DI in Frayed Burlap and Gathered Twigs
• The not-new:
• Both Tim Holtz die sets (Mini Greenery and Sentiments) are a couple years old.
• The background paper on both cards is from Tim's paper pad, a couple years old
• Twine from my stash
• The new: 
• The Big Shot used to cut the dies with!  Merry Christmas to me!

Trying to complete the holiday cards I started this past season... Here's one I began in December:

I just finished it on Sunday.

Supplies and notes:

• Snowflake sky made by inking Tim's small snowflakes with Distress Embossing Ink and embossing with Distress Antique Embossing Powder in Turquoise
• Sky then dipped in DOx in Vintage Photo
• The deer was from a goodie bag from The Funkie Junkie Boutique; I inked it with Distress Embossing Ink and heat embossed with Ranger in Potting Soil
• Vintage seam binding bow
• Tim's die for the "Merry"
• Torn scrap watercolor paper for the lower background
• The ledger print paper as part of the mounting is from a generic paper pad
• The blue mounting is cardstock by Recollections

That's it!
