Lederhosen

I would like to take the time to share my views on Lederhosen. Lederhosen (commonly referred to as Landerhosen) are mythical Bavarian creatures with long billed legs. In 1984 they were hunted into extinction by Bavarian woodsman to be used in their native craft. Because the creatures were wiped out at such an early date in history, Lederhosen are only used to define breeches made from leather

This is a pic of me and my cousins taking part in a traditional Hosen stance. Me (Center) and Stan (Right) show off our bleached Landerhosen while Ben sports a more traditional set of Lederhosen.

The varieties of Hosen do not end with the simple Lederhosen and Landerhosen counterpart. More southern areas such as the Alps of Italy saw the development of varieties such as Frenstoustenhosen. Although what truly defines Frenstoustenhosen is disputed. Some families would even go as far to say that Frenstoustenhosen are structured more along the lines of Gousteinhosen or Huestinhosen.

Here's a young chap showcasing my view of Frenstoustenhosen

If you're interested in other rare varieties of Hosen, look up Russian Boikeinhosen or even rarer, the Asian Xioudostenhosen.
