Since laws restricting firearms ownership are in violation of the Constitution, I suggest our pro-gun friends pick up one of these. Illegal laws don't have to be obeyed, right? That's how the lawful gun owners all claim to never have broken laws. The reason you need one of these is you never can tell when that little bit of extra firepower will make the difference.
If someone's selling one at a remarkably low price, i'll take it. But you can build a comparable if not better gun for less money. A Saiga 12 with a drum magazine will fulfill the same role for a much lower price.
ReplyDeleteIf the AA-12 ends up living up to the hype (vastly reduced recoil, extremely low maintenance), I could see it as an upgrade over the Saiga--although color me skeptical about some of the claims.
ReplyDeleteHowever, the "where to get it" question would still have to be answered. Willingness to disobey bad, unjust, unconstitutional law isn't enough--you still have to find one for sale.
If you do, let me know, and ask about the little 12 gauge grenades, too.
Yeah, those grenade shotgun shells are something else. Does it sometimes seem that the weapons which an individual can handle by himself, which was one of the criteria I've heard used as to what's covered by the 2nd Amendment, are getting bigger and badder all the time?
ReplyDeleteI wonder how much each of those rounds costs?

That's technology for you, Mikeb--it tends not to stay static. That's why the First Amendment wasn't invalidated with the invention of the movable type printing press, radio, television, and the internet.
As to the cost of the little grenades--I'm sure it's more than I could afford, even if they were legal for private citizens to own them.
But hey--since you seem to feel so strongly about kids with machine guns, I thought you'd like this pic of the AA-12.
Warms my heart to see that lucky kid, but it also angers me to think about the fact that the vast majority of American kids will be robbed of the experience.
