Merry Christmas to All My Readers

I will admit, I haven't been as busy on this blog this year as I have been in the past.  Part of the reason is that I've been pretty busy at work and I'm pretty drained when the weekend comes around.  I'm going to try to change that next year.

At any rate, Merry Christmas, Happy Hannukah, Happy Kwanzaa and Happy whatever else you celebrate.  The fact that I still keep this blog going after 10 years and as I approach my 10,000th post is pretty amazing.  I hope that I will be able to do something special for it.

Catching a New Livery

Before I got home, I decided to make a stop at the airport in case there was anything of interest.

First up was a Cessna Citation.
It was coming in from Punta Gordon.
Kind of a nice looking plane.
Next up was the return of an old friend.
I haven't seen the Royal Jordanian 787 in a while, so it was kind of cool to catch.
I like this livery.
I also had a chance to catch a 757.
But it was in a different livery.
It belongs to New Pacific Airlines.
New Pacific Airlines is a low cost and charter carrier out of Anchorage, Alaska.  They had their first flight in 2023.  They were originally known as Northern Pacific Airlines but they face an injunction from BNSF because they owned the trademark.
They were going to fly from Anchorage to a number of destinations but it is tough to start an airline.  In April of this year, they announced cessation of  all scheduled flights so they could concentrate on their charter service.  I think they are doing charter services for some of the NHL teams.

Sunday Afternoon Spotting

I was going to watch the Lions this afternoon but as it looked like they had things well in hand, I decided to head to the airport to take pictures.  It looked like a nice day for planewatching with some cool planes coming in.

First up was an A321 that was coming in from Bean Town.
I'm not sure where this Cessna Citation was coming from, but it was pretty cool to catch.
A more straight on shot.
A 717 that was coming in from Savannah.
A more straight on shot.
One of the planes that got me out.
It of course was a 757-200.
This particular one was coming in from Atlanta.
A couple more pictures because I like the 757.
And one more.
The next plane that I was looking forward to.
This one is an A340 belonging to Lufthansa.
It was coming in from Frankfurt.
Another shot, because I like this plane.
An A321 coming in from Fort Myers.
An A330 that was coming in from Frankfurt.  I bet it took right after the A340.
A Spirit Airlines A320 coming in from LaGuardia.  I was happy to see this plane because I like this livery and I thought they painted over all of them.
An A320 coming in from Miami.
An American Eagle E175 coming in from LaGuardia.
Another Cessna Citation.
This one was coming in from Cleveland.
A 737 coming in from Tampa.
Another angle of that plane.
An American Eagle CRJ-900 coming in from Reagan National Airport in Washington DC.
Another angle of that plane.
An A321 coming in from LaGuardia.  Seems likes lots of planes coming from there.
Another angle of that plane.
Another plane that I was looking forward to seeing.
This was a Royal Jordanian 787 coming in from Amman.
It has been a while since I've seen this plane.
A Sun Country 737 coming in from Minneapolis.
An A330 coming in from Paris.
An American Eagle 737 coming in from Charlotte.
This Delta 737 was bringing folks back from Cancun.
Apparently, it was A330 day.
This plane was coming back from London.
An A320 that was coming back from Palm Beach.  If you look in the bottom right hand corner, you can see a 757 in the downwind leg of the approach pattern.  I think that was the one coming in from Atlanta.
One more A330.
It was flying in from Amsterdam.
Another 757.
But this one was a 757-300.
It was coming in from Orlando.
One more.
A United E175 coming from Newark.
A 737 coming in from Fort Myers.
And I end this post with a 757.
This particular one was coming from Atlanta.
I'm pretty sure this was a repositioning flight.
One more.
Sorry, I have one more.

Like I said, it was a pretty good day of spotting but it was starting to get chilly out.
