I went to Suntec City last week for the IT Fair. Seriously I was planning to buy a external harddisk with bigger storage and considering to get a new headphone to replace my existing Atlec Lansing headphone.
I bought a new Seagate 1TB FreeAgent Xtreme Desktop with USB, FIrewire400 and eSata connector. I don't really concern about eSata connector. What I really want and more concern about is the Firewire connection. Although it only come with Firewire400 version, which mean it can support up to 400Mbps, slightly slower than USB2.0. Because of the MacBook only come with 2 USB ports, it makes me to buy the new external harddisk with firewire connector so I can simply use my Firewire to connect my harddisk meanwhile I can save one more USB port for other purpose.
The 1TB harddisk is solved all my problem. Recently I was burned a lot of my data into DVDs and it was really troublesome and wasting a lot of DVDs. I burned around 30 pieces of DVDs for my movies, pictures and other documents. In order to solve my problem more efficent rather than burning data into disc, another larger storage space of harddisk is required. The Seagate FreeAgent Xtreme is really cool. The cover is in Black color and the Seagate logo will glow when you turn it on. Wanted to get the silver color version but it is come without firewire.
It costed me $229. Although it is costed me a lot of money but I am happy to get it because I can just simply put everything into it. Now I already used more than 300GB.
Beside the external harddisk, another thing I bought is the Audio Technica headphone. I was only considering to get one at the beginning but the offer that was really attractive. The original price of the headphone is nearly $60 but after the 10% discount, it only cost me around $50.
Audio-Technica ATH-SJ3
After one week of using this headphone, what I can say is it is really worth my every cents for spending on this new baby. The sound quality is superb for the range and the look is quite stylish. I bought a white color version. It is also fold-able for me to bring anywhere conveniently.
The mid and high frequencies response is awesome and it is better than my another Sony Headphone because this is more focus on music meanwhile the Sony is more concern on movie surround sound. The bass i think it is also not a issue because so far it gives me quite a satisfied performance. The driver of SJ3 is same with my Sony headphone, which is coming with 40mm driver.
Here is the specification regarding to the headphone:

So, I spent around $280 in this IT show. Although that was really a lot but these are seriously great deal.
Forgot to mention, I was went back once again on Sunday, the last day of the show to survey the price for 1GB mp3 player but the price was slightly expensive than malaysia. The funny part is because at the moment was fully crowded by people so the management of the IT fair suggested that people should return in an hour. What I feel is the way of them to control the crowd can be improved and I don't really think people will really return within an hour because you can hardly move in the place. Although the economy crisis is still existing but what i can see from this event is singaporeans will still spend their money for what they want and somemore there really offered a lot of great deals.

The new generation of MacBook is already showed but it doesn't really give too much of surprise about its thickness. I think you have the same doubt with me, how slim our laptop possible to go after MacBook Air?
Well, touch screen sensor is quite recently applied on my electronic devices, especially on handphone. It can just done by a screen that shows full spec of Qwerty keyboard, or maybe even can change to other kind of combination to give us more convenience to do any typing and controlling our device. The only problem is the feedback issue but it is not really a big deal.
As you can see, Apple company own the best and slimmest laptop screen around the world, especially the new LED backlist screen display on new Macbook. So maybe we can hope Apple to come out something can really give us a big stunnishing.
Few days ago, I found these concept for new generation of MacBook Air, or maybe for our laptop. It is really nice looking, looks cool and the most important is, it can slimmer than MacBook Air. I am wondering that which company will come out such a product to compete with Apple?
The most stylish design and also my favorite among these 4 concepts.
This looks like will be the most possible to be produced.
Some sort of Tablet PC??
Well, this is the thickest laptop among all these concepts.
How advance of human technology is can't be predicted. So, I really hope that some of these concepts will be created in our future to bring us to another stage of laptop experience. Well, looking forward to any company to come out their new laptop. Who can be the top in this market? Answer is pretty obvious now.

Wooow.... First, congratulation to Apple to come out such an excellent product to bring a whole new experience to us.
The whole engineer and designer team was really done a really good job on exploring a new way to make MacBook become so attractive, engineered done, more powerful and most important is, it is start getting cheaper and affordable to every user around the world.
Here, I am going to introduce the new machine that make me feel that, A computer is not just a computer. The new MacBook and MacBook Pro.
It is not just a product that want to convince you to buy. It is a product that shows their passion and sincerity to create a better product for people to explore a whole new experience on MacBook or even a Laptop. The engineer crews are really put their heart into this 2008 most powerful, fashion product. You can feel this on every single part of it.The body is made by aluminium. It is not as simple as you think. It is started from a piece of solid metal. After the process, it has been done become a Unibody Enclosure to make the whole MacBook lighter, thiner, and even more solid. You can feel the effort from the engineers to create a new machine that no one ever done it before.
The new MacBook is improved a lot, especially on its design and hardware performance.
About the design, the designer is used aluminiun to decrease the weight and thickness. The thumbscoop is also well designed for you to use your finger to open the MacBook. The whole body part just built into one piece.
The most important and great improvement is, this time the trackpad don't have the button. Why? Because the whole trackpad is the button. You can just simply to click anywhere you like and feel comfortable. Multi-touch trackpad is also bring a new experience to you to control your machine. Scroll up and down is not just side bar on the trackpad, zoom in and zoom out can be just simple. The new multi-touch trackpad can let you to scroll up, down, left and right easily with your 2 fingers. Zoom in and out can be done by pinching your 2 fingers on the trackpad. Do you think this is the everything about this? You are just wrong. You also can swipe, rotate and 4 fingers swipe to complete certain command for you with more convenient way. Guess what? The engineers even spend their time on considering how much sensetivity and feedback for this trackpad? No one really create a laptop like them, they even consider what does the click sound like. They just take care of every single of details. Why Apple laptop can be such a good product among the other companies? Another reason is about the LCD screen. This time, Apple just make the screen even better and slimmer. About the thickness of the screen, without a doubt, Apple can be considered has the slimmest screen in the world. But they don't satisfied on what they have so far, so the engineers decided to create a better quality and power efficient, which is the LED-backlit glossy widescreen display. This can give a you a instantly greeted by glorious full screen brightness.
This time, Apple finally put a dedicated graphic card on MacBook. Previously, only MacBook Pro will come with dedicated graphic card. Not ATi, this time Apple collaborated with NVDIA and they used GeForce 9400M and 9400 GT for the new MacBook and 9600M GT for the MacBook Pro. Call of Duty? Need for Speed Carbon? Spore? or even Red Alert 3? Not a worry on this powerful machince. You can just play the game you like. You will forget that it is just a laptop, a portable machine can just like your home PC.
This is not only a machine, it is about the soul of engineering and designing. You can miss this out. Price? Will it be more expensive than the previous? Guess what, the price is almost the same as the previous MacBook or it can be considered cheaper because although the price still maintaining almost the same but the specification is so much improve than the previous version. The NVDIA graphic card, faster intel core 2 duo processor (2.0GHz or 2.4GHz for MacBook, 2.4 to 2.53GHz for MacBook Pro), bigger hard disk memory space and many more aspects improved.
So what are you waiting for? Looking for a new laptop? Don't worry, you also can run windows OS on MacBook. So dual OS in a beautifully engineered machine, can you defy about it?

Once again, cheers from Apple. They did a Great Job once again.

Since I was started to look for the external harddisk enclosure quite a long time ago, so I decided to the COMEX 2008 at Suntec City Mall, start from 28th to 31st August.
This time, according to the organizer, more than 800 company take part of this IT fair and they said this is the biggest ever IT fair in Singapore so far. Seriously I really found a lot of cheap deals there but i have no money inside my pocket so I just can let the chance to walk away from my hand. Well, we must be a smart consumer, Buy the thing that you really need.
I took some pictures there and here you go:

Canon booth... want to try out EOS? Don't really know is it possible to have a properly try out session there... cameras and printers are available at promotion price...
Here come one of our best anti virus solution, NOD32, from www.cyberlink.com. This is much more better than norton and McAfee. Recommended by MLCS, which is me...
Music lover or DJ will know about this brand... Audio Technica. I was tried out their 700 bucks closed-dynamic speaker. The sound is really excellent but... 700 bucks... maybe can go for a quality home theater system?
Creative, as usual... a lot of people still supporting them... well, quite a good brand in audio...
Yup, this is it... GT5 on PS3 with longitech steering wheel set... I tried it out and only one word can explain what I feel on this.... SHIOK.... The graphic, The overall feel, The details, plus the steering wheel set... really stunnising and how real it can be... The PS3 is having their offer there... $599 plus need to purchase 2 games. $269 for steering wheel set. I will buy it if I can really afford that much... because after you buy a set of PS3, please prepare a Full HD ready LCD panel and a whole set of surround sound home theater system... otherwise everything will be wasted if you use it on a CRT TV?? Don make me laugh sir...
LG... life's good or lousy goods? I am not a LG user so I cant comment on it... but they also are having their offer there... feel free can drop by to have a look... just a look... all is about laptop...
Samsung... also have quite a huge booth there... PC, printer, LCD panel....
All Nikon camera also having their promotion there... including those DSLR series... D60-$888 if i not wrong... is it really cheap?
Dell also offer some of the deal on laptop that really worth to spend your money for it... well, I have no money so...
Lenovo booth has offer public to try out their F1 simulator... looked fun but really not easy to handle it... but that one really give a very good impression as real as you are completing with Alonso... the fellow was driving the car that he can never be drive it on road at Sepang circuit... the organizer said the Singapore circuit is not available yet....
Sharp Aquos... another good LCD brand beside Panasonic...
Feel hungry? Apple also available at the fair... the apple that cant be eaten... they also having their great sale there... want to try out Macbook Air?? If you want to buy it, please prepare an envolope just like what Apple's designer show us before... Great sale for ipod, Macbook and iMac.. I didn't see any Mac Pro there...
The biggest booth of this IT fair... SONY... they offer a lot of their products with a really cheap price... the latest MP4 player with 4GB memory just only available at $150... wanted to buy one but... must consider for which brand I should buy... sony is under one of my list... Road show is also prepared by sony to promote their latest product...
ToughBook... how tough can it be?? where is monkey??
Panasonic home theater projector... nw i only understand why people still want to use projector to watch movie... We can fully enjoy the show without worry about the response time of the panel... LCDs have this problem especially for bigger inch of LCD panel...
This is much more nicer and the feel also as good as the real F1 car if compare with the Lenovo set... We can feel the F1 fever is closing to all Singaporeans becasse the F1 night race is coming soon... Are you ready to give you best shot? Brought to you by Singtel and they are the only one company that available for iphone... you can try out the iphone there and make you decision rather buy it or not... If you are going to buy one, you need to sign up as singtel mobile user than can bring one back home...
Starhub also promote their packages about broadband, digital cable TV and Mobile phone service... but the crowd there just not as much as the crowd at Singtel booth there...
Back to the subject, I was said just now I wanted to buy a firewire external harddisk enclosure. I bought one but unfortunately it didn't work and cant work for what i was expecting. I was went back to change to another model, which is without firewire model but it equips with eSata but I don't know what is really use for and its benefit so just forget it and treat it as a normal enclosure. Quite dissapointed for my spend because it spend for nothing...
But it come with a pretty nice case and the case is built by aluminium and with advance shock absorber...

I also bought a low-end headphone for my experiment...
This is come from SonicGear which I feel it is not really a good quality headphone... the mid and high frequencies wasn't really there and later on I will try to disassemble and see where is my knowledge go so far about audio circuit design and see what can I do to give some improvement for this headphone.
Overall about this IT fair is quite huge and if you want to look for some good deal on IT stuff, this is the right place you should go and you really can't miss it.

Which notebook is thinnest in the world???
Size and weight
- Height:
- 0.4-1.94 cm (0.16-0.76 inch)
- Width:
- 32.4 cm (12.74 inches)
- Depth:
- 22.7 cm (8.9 inches)
- Weight:
- 1.36 kg (3.0 pounds)
Without a doubt, This is the world's thinnest notebook - MacBook AirJust now i went to the apple store at Wheelock Place, in Orchard Road there...
Its come with 2 specifications :
$2988

- 2 GB RAM memory
- 80 GB 4200-rpm PATA Hard Drive
