Elise 7 Months!! (And 6, and 5...)

First off, this post is HUGE. On hind site, I should have probably broken it into three posts. But all the pictures are loaded and I ain't starting over!

Okay, per the ushe, I'm a little behind on posting stuff. Well, I guess a little more than a little this time! I can't believe I'm so behind on posting pictures of my baby chica. And even MORE I can't believe my baby is 7 months!! What the heck!? So here are a LOT of pictures. I want them all in my books so I'm posting them all. I really just can't get enough of her so I take pictures of her all day long. What can I say? I LOVE HER! :)

7 Months (Oct. 14):

She has the pointiest little tongue and sticks it out a little to the side all the time! It's so funny. I was trying to capture that below. It's not great, but you can see it well enough.

She is getting quite skilled at "crawling." It's a little more of a worm move/army crawl, but she can get where she wants to go.

Checking out herself! Daddy is showing her a video of herself. She was enthralled.
 Go cougars!

I was realizing that I hardly have any pictures of us together! This was the best I could do alone. I need to get Lance to pick up the camera now and then! :)

6 Months (Sept 14):

The little tongue coming out :)
Good little eater!
I just love her little face in each one of these...

It's hard to tell in a picture, but she was so dang cute in this dress

What? I know these pictures are all almost identical, but I love her face in each and every one...so I'm including them all. Because what does it hurt?

5 Months (Aug 14):

All put together...

Letting her hair down...
I know, the little lady has a lot of hair. It's fun, and she's adorable. Strangers on the street (or, you know, in my gym, at the grocery store. whatever.) stop and exclaim about her hair. It's fun. And it's always up in her cute single or double piggies. But I needed to document the free-flowing locks. It's kind of awesome.

The little lady loves her baths

And she LOVES her big brothers. (Well, maybe Mikey and Luke a little more than Joey at the moment since Joey likes to sit on her and "pats" her head a little too hard.) But no one can get her laughing like Mikey and Luke.
(On a side note, what the heck is up with Mikey looking so old!)

Before 5 months Elise was trying to grab all our food! So we finally let her have it. And she loved it.

Love her! Love her! Love her!

PUMPKINS!!!

Well, another year, another chance to shock and awe.  I'm really starting to look forward to this every year.  Once again, though, I made the mistake of allowing the kids to choose pictures they wanted carved on their pumpkins, and once again, I spent way too many hours making that happen (this is Lance, by the way).  However, I'm pleased enough with the results, and so were the kids, that it was all worth it.

Kristy also produced a fine specimen, though I had to gut hers before she'd go anywhere near it  (spoiled).  Here it is, in all its physics-defying glory:

And, in reverse order of the number of hours involved, here are my creations:

BTW, I had something in mind for Elise, but life came at me fast on All Hallow's Eve Eve.  Sorry, sweetheart, I'll get you next year.  Maybe I'll be ready to trust Mikey with a knife, and maybe I'll make Kristy gut her own, both of which will ease the load a bit.

#4 Joey's tribute to his favorite mouse in the world

#3 Luke's favorite character from Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games

#2 Mikey's throwback tribute to the Thundercats (sorry it's pink, we had a bit of overexposure)

#1 Last, but not least, my own homage to the current presidential election

(because it was a very round pumpkin, and the faces are a bit distorted together, here's each one from a more aesthetic angle)

This pumpkin was neither produced, nor paid for, by either campaign.

Happy Halloween!

Big Boy Bed

Joey has done it! He now sleeps in a big boy bed. Or as Joey says, his "boy bed." The transition was actually pretty easy. Naps are still a little tricky, but he's even getting used to that. As long as he has his "pillow-blankie" he's good. Sometimes he gets up a time or two, but he usually runs right back to bed and stays put. Love that kid!
