Felicitations

I'm playing along with the Embellish color challenge.

This card is going to a friend who received some fabulous news recently. (Felicitation means congratulations).

Photobucket

My card uses the Fabulous Frame die from PTI. I stamped the pram from Bitty Baby Blessings onto Enchanted Evening patterned paper and again onto the white cardstock. The French sentiment is from Global Greetings: French (also PTI), as this is going to a French friend! Also, the background was stamped with the Newsprint background set.

Thanks for coming by!

Congratulations on your special delivery!

Hi! We are gearing up for the first day of school on Monday...barring Hurricane Irene, of course! I have no doubt that we will lose power in my neighborhood. What a crazy week....earthquake, hurricane and what else??!!

Photobucket

This card was made for a friend who recently had a beautiful baby boy. I kept it pretty simple--branch from Little Birds, bundle and sentiment from Bundle of Love. The paper is from Seaside by October Afternoon and I paper pieced the bundle with some PTI paper, although I can't recall which one currently.

I've been making lots of things, so I hope to be back again soon to share.

Stay dry!

Congratulations

I'm back with a baby card!

Months ago, Betsy Veldman posted a card that was similar to this--a baby bundle hanging off a branch. It is amazingly beautiful and I wished I had the stamps to recreate it. Now, I do, with "Bundle of Love". I used "Out on a Limb" for the branch, blooms, stars and moon. The "congratulations" comes from Inside and Out: Baby.

Photobucket

I sponged my scene with Spring Rain ink, and also added some Enchanted Evening ink around the edges. The stars got a touch of glitter, and I added a center with my white gel pen to the the blossoms on the tree branch.

Sorry for the bad picture, I tried many time to photograph it well and it just didn't come out clearly.

Thanks for looking!

Cute as a button

My friend recently had a baby girl, so I was inspired to put together this card.

I attended a get-together of PTI stampers from the DC area a couple weeks ago, and I was lucky to use other people's stuff! I cut out and stamped some of the bitty backgrounds that you see on this card, as well as some button things.

Photobucket

I stamped the background using Polka Dot Basics II in Vintage Cream ink. The sentiment comes from Baby Button Bits.

Photobucket

On the inside, I used Inside and Out: Baby to add a verse and congratulations.

Photobucket

I used papers from Cosmo Cricket's Earth Love, which I thoughted worked well for a baby card meant to include both a boy and girl.

Tag, You're It Challenge

I was able to participate in another PTI Princess challenge, this one hosted by Belinda . Our challenge is to create a tag.

Nathan tag

I made a tag to add to a baby gift that I'll be sending out to my friend, for her new little Nathan!

I used Mini Scrapbook: Library Ledger to stamp the background onto Kraft cardstock. I added his name using Fresh Alpha, and the label from Fillable Frames 5. The tiny sailboat comes from Bitty Baby Blessings, as well as the "ahoy, little sailor".

Nathan tag back

On the back I added the "congrats" and the saying from Iniside and Out: Baby and the date of his birth was stamped from the Library Ledger set.

Thanks for looking!

Baby gift set

It's finally back to school today for my kids, after what seems like forever!

I want to share a project that I made for a friend who just had a baby girl! I made her this keepsake box with drawers, one of my favorite projects to make. You can see the other boxes that I've made here and here , with a full tutorial. I made one for my daughter to match her room and we keep all her hair bows and barrettes in there.

I made the personalized label on the top of the box using Ambassador Monogram Edition to spell out the name and I cut out a flower from the patterned paper.

Along with the box, I made a matching card. I used the elephant from the Click Simple template "Rock a Bye Baby" and resized it to be smaller for my card front.

And the inside of the card got decorated as well.

I think that this project qualifies for our latest Papertrey Princess challenge which was given to us by Lee. You can see the details here . I also entered this project into the Guest Star Stamper contest.

Have a great day!

Little cutie pies

Baby Button Bits is so, so adorable! This image of the little pie/cupcake is probably my favorite. I made up a few while I had my scraps out. I'm not as thrilled with how my cards turned out, but the pies are cute!

Baby gift box and card

So this project is one I made almost a year ago and I just now found the pictures in my file and realized I never posted! This little guy is already one year old, but this was a gift for him when he was born.

First up is the card using Polka Dot Basics: I, Fresh Alphabet and a Martha Stewart Little boys set.

I found the box in the unfinished wood section at AC Moore and sanded it a bit and painted it. I then covered it in some of my favorite paper from Basic Grey called Oh Baby!

I cut out some of the elephants and popped them up with foam tape for dimension.

And a final view with contents:

Welcome Little One

Hi everyone! I'm finding a spare minute to write this while my littlest one is napping...she's been sick, so time is scarce and so is sleep for all of us! I made this card for a friend's new baby.

I colored the pram with my copics and chose a fun background treatment inspired by Nichole Heady's card here . She is amazing...who else would have created such a great Halloween card with hot pink, red and orange! Isn't the pram cute... I would have loved something like that to push my babies around!

I also made the "from the desk of" template template to house the clothes for baby.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Baby shower gift

I made this "box" to fit a few baby clothes that my kids and I picked out to give to a friend for her baby shower. I got my color scheme from the clothes and went from there. I stamped the plaid background using Background Basics: Retro and the little onesie is stamped from Bitty Baby Blessings, cut out and poped up on the ribbon with foam tape.

I was able to fit in pants, long sleeve onesie-shirt, and a knit hat...pretty good! I hope that she will find a good use for the box too!

Card for a (pregnant) friend

I have a friend who is pregnant and I wanted to make her and her husband a card to congratulate them. I didn't want to say "welcome baby" or something to that effect, as clearly the baby is not here yet! I made this card and I think that it fits what I was trying to do.

I used Background Basics: Retro for the plaid background ( I won this set from the May Blog Hop, thanks PTI!), the pram and sentiment come from Bitty Baby Blessings.

Here's the inside of the card:

I made an extra to put in my Etsy shop, so you can find it there if you are interested (top right hand side). Thanks for taking a look!
