Flourishes, stars, birds: oh my!
After feeling sick for a bit, I finally felt well enough and was able to breathe enough to be creative tonight! I made two new cards with the same layout but much different styles. This first one I had in mind as a congratulations, enoouragement or graduation card, using bolder colors.
The second is a bit mellower, with more of a vintage feel. The original idea of the card is inspired by Nichole Heady's card here . I was thinking about my friend when I made this and will send it to her to congratulate her as she enters a new chapter in her life.
Thanks for stopping by!

Baby girl card
My friend, ALW requested a baby card based on my design seen here . I love the colors she chose, pinks and browns and really enjoyed making this. I used the PTI script set, Background Basics: Text Style, for the background as I thought it was fitting for her.
And a peek at the inside.

PTI May Blog Hop
Yellow is the theme of this month's blog hop! I wanted to try out another of Lauren's Timeless Templates and chose the Perfect Match box. I used lemon tart and soft stone cardstock and the beautiful Chloe's Closet papers by Making Memories, which match really well with the PTI colors. I lined the inside of the box with some cute blue polka dot paper from the same line.

We had the pleasure of attending the birthday parties of two of my son's classmates this weekend. I really can't bring myself to buy a card anymore, so I set out to make some boy cards! For the first one, I used some Cosmo Cricket paper and a cute Martha Stewart car stamp.
The second one uses Crate Paper and a little robot by Stampendous (not exactly sure though!).
Thanks for stopping by!

Raspberry Suite Color Challenge- Week 6
Another fun challenge from Dawn! These colors are beautiful together! I ended up making two cards with all my stuff already out.
My first card is a Congratulations card, could be used for graduation, job promotion, or to celebrate any of life's happy moments! I used PTI's 2009 Anniversary set to stamp the star background, as well as the little star cluster in dark chocolate from Out on a Limb. The sentiment comes from Dawn's own set, Scattered Showers.
The second one is an Anniversary card using Heart Prints as the background, stamped with aqua mist ink on aqua mist paper ( I notice now in the picture how much the ink is fading...)
Thanks for taking a look!

Shower cards
When I first received the stamp set, Scattered Showers, I stamped a whole sheet with the same design. I only cut part of it and made a card. Today, I used up most of the rest of it for these two cards.
The first one is a baby shower card.
And the second for a bridal shower.

Wedding cards
I made these cards recently; one for my best friend and husband and the other for my cousin and his wife. The pink and black matched the wedding colors, as well as the polka dots emulating the dice as the wedding was in Vegas!
For the second one I was inspired by their wedding invitations, which were beautiful and created by the bride, who is a very talented artist! I wanted to use floral and a bluish-green color. (It's difficult to see in the picture, but I used the small and large heart with flowers inside) I also wanted to use the same heat embossing technique as the other wedding card and make it simple and classy.
I carried them all the way across the country with me, but forget to give them out, so they are headed into the mail tomorrow!

I am back from my trip, although it's taken me awhile to get into the swing of things! All of my stamping friends will be happy to know that I didn't "waste" any of my money on gambling...I'll save those pennies for new goodies! Here is a card I made using Melon Berry cardstock and ink from PTI.
