"The family, as we have traditionally known it, is such a refuge of safety. When true values and basic virtues undergird the families of society, hope will conquer despair, and faith will triumph over doubt". President Thomas S. Monson

Fun with Daddy in the snow

We got so much snow and still more is coming... so we took Addy out for awhile to play.
There are now big piles of snow on the side of our driveway after Dave did the shoveling. Addy wanted to climb them but would just sink because it was to thick... so Dave just sat her at the top so I can take a picture.
Addy threw lots of snowballs with Daddy.

Addy and Daddy also tried making a snowman, but it was pretty hard with the snow being so fresh.

More Snow

We got more today... about 5 inches. I love the snow when it's fresh....still light and soft. It's easier to shovel it out of the way. While I was doing that... .Addy was sinking her feet into it. She had left trails all over the yard. It was a little colder out without the sun. You might be able to tell that her cheeks are a little pink.. but she was bundled up pretty good. We took breaks into the house after a little while... I needed breaks from shoveling.

Addy's First Snow

Addy didn't like the snow last year. She didn't want to touch or even walk in it. I guess it sorta was the same thing with me at that age... but I didn't like the sand...at the beach I just stayed on the blanket. But this year Addy couldn't wait to play in the snow. We finally got enough yesterday for Addy to sink her feet into. She was so excited and looks so cute in her little snow jumpsuit.

"snowballs" This is what she kept saying before going out. I showed her how to make snow angels. She had fun doing this...after the first time she kept wanting to make more.
That's a pretty good snow angel.. wouldn't you say?
After playing for awhile we then had lunch and Addy fell asleep in her high chair. I guess making all those snow angels tired her out. Here is a short clip of her making one.
