Here's the one of Malinda! Post cont.!

Read the below post if your confused at why Malinda is staring at you right now!

Old Talent that I'm going to try to bring back.

So for Christmas this year my family decided to do homemade gifts using our talents. Well number one, I don't really have that much time these days to make the gifts and number two I only have one talent. Or atleast I used to have one talent. This year I had my sister Jaime's family for Christmas and my one talent used to be photography. It's been SOOO long since I have done any picture taking though. I use old school film even folks! I realized today that I really miss it and I know they are rusty but I need to get back at it. Here are just a few pics that I took today. There are more but these are some of my favorites. Oh....Malinda asked me to take some for her mom for Christmas too so one is posted of her as well. She looks beautiful to me in it! I'm gonna get back at this folks and start using my talent again so that next time I post some pictures they are even better!

Kids are brilliant!

So this weekend I got to go and have a REALLY quick slumber party with a couple of my nephews. I slept on an air mattress for one night in a room with Kacey's boys. In the morning my two older boys came and snuggled with me on the bed and we started chatting. Here's just one of the AMAZING conversations that we had.

Camden - "Aunt Meghan have you seen the movie Kung Fu Panda"
Me - "Ya bubba it's hilarious huh"
Cam - "Ya. Mas and I love it."
Me - "Cam, why though is he a panda bear and his dad is a duck?"
Cam - "Aunt Meg, people are all different."
Me - "Dugga, that is the best answer anyone could have given!"

Kids are so brilliant! They totally get it. It wasn't I don't know, it was Aunt Meghan look around the world. People are all different. Good job Kacey and Chris. Cam understands more in life then we do!!

Realization.

Man life can throw you punches but I guess it is to help us grow and learn who we are as individuals. In my life I have never really had a problem with making friends or with being one that people enjoy being with or getting along with. I don't mean to sound conceited but this has truly been my one talent I thought the big guy gave me. For a while now I have been feeling for the first time that I just can't seem to mesh with the people in my ward. Everyone around me says that it is the most amazing ward and I am trying, or I have tried. The people and are just aren't meshing. It seems as though I go but no one in the ward really knows who I am. I have tried to even go to a relief society retreat which is VERY out of my comfort zone. I attended classes by myself and I honestly thought that I met some women there. I lost my calling tonight which I totally understand why. They need someone in there that can click with the rest of the presidency and especially the president. The children are so important and whatever is best for them I am all for. Unity in a presidency makes all the difference so I have known this is coming. I guess what all of this is coming down to is the old question of, when in life to you become a different person without even realizing you've gotten there? I realize that I have become someone different that people can't necessarily relate to anymore. It's a tough realization but one that I am really going to try and figure out how to become me again and find that spark that I used to have. I want to be able to have my one talent again. It was something that I cherished and at times like this miss very much.

OOOH Spooky!

So Dean and I carved pumpkins together for the first time. I love it and thanks to mom we were totally taken care of. She bought us two pumpkins and gave us all the tools needed. All i've got to say is whoever created that little scraper for this inside is brilliant. I love my husband to pieces and doing little things like this with him make the holidays amazing! Thanks Dean for carvin with me and thanks mom for making sure we have a great holiday even though we haven't got any kids, well not just yet atleast! :) Can you guess who's is who's?

Here are the details!

Ok, there is a reason no details went with the before post. I didn't really have any! We've had some scares with this little guy. I cramped really bad in the beginning. so bad that they would wake me up in the middle of the night. I went to the doctor to make sure everything was OK and the nurse practitioner said that she was afraid the baby wasn't developing correctly. Sent me in for blood work at the lab and then basically said watch for spotting and I'll see you in three weeks. I was freaked out!! Well three weeks of worry went by and last week Dean and I heard out little guys heart beat! What a rush!! Still no due date though because the actual doctor and the nurses ultra sounds were so far off from each other I had to go back AGAIN today for another picture of Fergus the Fetus. So.....Today we have a gummi bear folks. A gummi bear that's heart is strong and looks great. Fergus the Fetus is due May 26th and Dean and I couldn't be more excited. We're still not in the safe zone though so I am taking it pretty easy because I've had a little bit of spotting but the doctor says everything looks really great. I've been getting more sick lately. Mostly in the afternoon and in the evening. It's all worth it though, or at least I hope it is. :)

Tagged!

Ok Kaycee here we go! I am really horrible at doing these tags but I'm going to try because to be honest with you I don't think I can come up with 7 things about myself.

Here's how to play:
1. Link your tagger and list these rules on your blog.
2. Share 7 facts about yourself on your blog, some random, some weird.
3. Tag 7 people at the end of your post by leaving their names as well as links to their blogs.
4. Let them know they have been tagged by leaving a comment on their blog.

1. I can say the whole Spanish alphabet. It is the only thing that I learned from Spanish class in high school and I think because there is a song that we sang along with it is the reason it stayed in my mind.

2. I love taking pictures. I used to do it on the side for weddings but I'm not good under pressure and even though my pictures always turned out great I was a giant stress case!

3. I have no fears when it comes to saying what I think. I don't think I ever have. I really should hold back sometimes but it just comes flowing out of my mouth before I can even stop myself.

4. One of my goals in life is to learn to play tennis. I have no idea why tennis, but I've just always loved the sport. I think it's totally competitive and an amazing workout that is half mental. It almost makes you push yourself to a limit. You just get into a zone!! Oh running a long distance race is going to be included in this goal area. And long distance to me folks is like a 10 k. I love to run, but I just have never been consistent enough to train.

5. I love to eat out. Dean and I do it probably far more then we ever should but it just tastes so yummy especially when you don't have to clean up the mess. My favorite is Mexican food. Honestly I could eat it for every meal. Lately though i could go for a giant bowl of Phu noodles, if you don't know what that is it's delicious.

6. I love to play cards with my husband. He is so fun and is such a gamer. I usually beat him and I love it. It's one of the only things I can beat him at so I have to take a moment and wallow in it.

7. And last but not least.....As soon as I get home from work at night I strip off all my clothes except for my under garments of course! I can't stand to be in my clothes these days. I think it's because married life has made me a little more plump so everything is a little more tight. I just feel like I am suffocating in those clothes of mine. So please folks, if you plan on coming over give a girl some warning. :)

Ok I'm not good at telling people to do this biz cause I'm not good myself so I'm going to throw my family under the bus.

Victoria, British Columbia....AMAZING!!

My sister in law got married this weekend in Victoria. Oh my goodness!! It was absolutely amazingly beautiful! I don't think you can fully prepare yourself for the beauty. You let a little Vegas girl like me out like this and I just can't get enough. Traveling the world, well once I find money some day, HERE I COME!! We took a ferry over to the island. What a beautiful ride with such amazing scenery. From the minute you step foot off of your airplane the air just feels beautiful on your face. I don't even know if you can explain it. It's like gentle gusts all day long. AHH!! Just thinking about it sends me to a different place in my mind. Then we went to the castle where the wedding party was staying. What BEAUTIFUL grounds!! Flowers everywhere!! Flowers that here in the states we pay almost 7 dollars a stem for grow in every ones front yards! I just loved to walk, with my husband of course, down the streets, and the piers, anywhere that we could. You almost don't want to drive in your car. There is no wonder you don't see any fat Canadians! The wedding was beautiful. Very different, but beautiful. I guess when you get a little Mormon girl like me to a regular wedding it just feels like a giant party! You always have a good time at a party especially a party with a beautiful girl dressed in a white dress and a handsome guy both super happy together. It was an amazing time and I could say so much more. Like tell you about the giant jelly fish or the amazing street bands, or the Parliament building lit with white lights at night and the huge boats off the wharf....BUT.... I will just try to learn how to post a slide show so you can see all of it for yourselves. We can't wait to go back!!

Party Time!! Excellent!!!

It is so much fun being married to someone so great! He really does understand me, well most of the time. :) I had a great week last week. I went one day to St. George just for a day trip. Got to spend some time with my mom canning tomatoes and then spent some time with my baby sister, which is always nice, and her three adorable little boys. They love their aunt Meg and she loves them right back! Then on Friday when I got off I wanted to be spontaneous. I asked Dean if we could just hop in the car on Saturday morning and head up North to Lagoon for a day trip. He didn't even hesitate. We went bowling with some of his friends Friday night, drove up to my folks house in New Harmony after we were done there, slept 4 hours, and then we were off to a fun filled day at the park. Now Lagoon is not your high class amusement park but it we mingled with the white trash ok. It was a lot of fun and the weather couldn't have been more beautiful! One of the added bonuses to this trip was even though it was breif, I got to spend some more time with 3 more nephews, one niece, and a sister that I just adore and don't get to see that often. Even if it was just a rushed trip to target together that little bit of bonding time is always top notch!! Then on Monday my parents came to Vegas for the day and I got to go and shop with my mom. Its so nice when they come even though my mother despices it here. I guess it all boils down to I miss my family and any sort of time with them is time I love and my husband is wonderful! I have great sisters and I love spending time with all three of them. You know when you're younger you never quite think you will get to the point where you love them this much but I guess you always do! Life gets busy and you get so wrapped up in the, we have to do this, and we have to do that's, that you forget the fun. I'm trying to remember the fun. It's what makes life worth while if you ask me!!

What a weekend!

So my parents are the best! They put together and helped pull off a much needed family vacation. They rented a pontoon boat at Panguitch and all of us made our way up to Chris' Uncle Ernies cabin, Thanks a million Uncle Ernie, for the weekend. Every one of the Adams clan was there. I can't remember the last time we've had a vacation and having all of the sisters, husbands, and their kids together was just full of excitement. Dean had never been fishing on a boat before and he loved it! We caught tons of fish, well not we. The fish were sexist! They didn't like the girls bait or people with names like Chris that could be girls. All of the boys though caugh fish and loved every bit of it. Here are a few pictures of the excitement. Oh just in case you are wondering what that sexy blue and red boat is, that is the boat Chris and his uncle made. Yes, I said made! Pretty fierce if you ask me. So to say the least I had a great weekend. You put me in a place with my new husband that I love to death and my family that are the other half of my world and I folks, find my happy place! Oh by the way, there was supposed to be more pictures but our camera died. Man I need to learn to bring extra batteries!

I'm such a retard!

Ok so now that we had a good post about date night I thought I will fill the blogging world in on my morning. My morning began like most people's i'm sure. You think to yourself, "today I am going to be a great wife. Hop in the bath real quick and run to get soap, start a load of wash, you know....be ULTRA productive." Well like most women I can never just sit and wait for my bath to run so I began my multi tasking only to about 10 minutes later hear a strang dripping sound coming from my DOWN STAIRS window. Ignoring is once I continued to hear it. Then it hit me! Holy crap!! That's the water from my UP STAIRS bathtub that I was running. Yes folks, I had managed to flood my bathroom. 15 towels and one shop vac and fan later we are waiting to see the results from my stupid mistake!

Shark Reef

SO....my dear sweet husband and I had a night on the town last night. Every Friday night we make a point to have a date night. Well last night, he took me to The House of Blues for dinner and the Shark Reef in the Mandalay Bay. What an awesome night! I seriously have thought sometimes in my life that being a marine biologist would be one of the most amazing professions. Now I know some of these pictures people may find offensive but hey, we're young married people and sometimes we still like to have a good time and take dirty suggestive pictures! :) It's part of who we are! I love date night as you can tell and honestly when I think about it, who wouldn't when you get to have this much fun!

Here are the chairs!

A long time ago in a land far away I purchased these lovely old chairs from an antique shop. They were great but the padding on the seat was really no where to be found and they were a light green color. Well in my new little world of marriage non cushy seats and light green chairs weren't going to work so with my brilliant mother's help recovering the chairs and my husband's help painting them red this is what we got in the end! I really like them but don't judge how plain my house looks folks. It's a rental and we're still just gettin started here.

Dancin!

Who is this adorable little girl you ask? Well it is my niece Devin. One of my favorite things about being married is inheriting 4 more nieces and nephews. We all know that I love my babies, my 3 sisters kids, but now I get to love these 4 as well. I really do just adore having them here in town with us. It fills my little void a tiny bit from not having all of my nieces and nephews that I have grown so close to. Devin had a dance recital on Saturday and she did amazing! It made me think to myself that havin a little girl might not be so bad after all. I mean really folks, just look at what a princess she is! As you can see I was so busy I couldn't quite get ready myself but thank heavens for little Devin makin this picture look good! We love you Devin and you did amazing!

Oh Zion! Dear Zion! Land of the Free!!!

Dean and I went on an adventure. We decided that we are not too old to go out and experience a little bit of beauty. It was perfect, well the park was. As we panted, and huffed up the mountain, we didn't even do that hard of a hike, we realized that somewhere along the road we got old and fat. It was horrid yet an apiphany of getting in better shape for our future. Onward to less of Meg and Dean! Next time we head up that mountain it will be like two deer romping in a valley!! It was great though and we can't wait for our next adventure.

Ah Shooting!!

So our friend Casey from the good old singles ward we used to go to took us shooting yesterday. It's been a while since we've been and it was so much fun! He had some great guns, we blew stuff up, and just all in all had good company. He did have this hand gun though that is supposed to be the biggest hand gun out there. Megan Paris actually said that it was hot because it was actually quit amazing. Well it got the better of me. Check out the pictures and see the outcome folks! It kicked right back into my face. I laughed, I cried, I got a big fat shiner!!

The yellow beauty!

Ok boys and girls here she is! The yellow beauty of cub scouts. I thought I would model it for you before I headed out the door to my first round table meeting. Now all of you, there is no need to be jealous. It actually wasn't bad at all, quite enjoyable actually. The lady that put together the meeting that I attended put a lot of work into it and came up with some GREAT ideas for a pack meeting. If you go to these things you never have to come up with any ideas on your own because they do it all for you. Now tell me why a person wouldn't find time for this if it was your turn to put on a Den meeting or a Pack meeting?? Someone else doing all the work for you?!! COUNT ME IN!!

We do have fun I promise!

So Dean and I really are exciting I promise! We really do have a lot of fun we just always forget to take pictures or we do take pictures and I look like death in them or he has double chins or something like that so we don't post them. Let me tell you though, Saturday I walked for cancer with my boosum friend Megan. It was awesome. SO many people though. Wanted to take my camera so it atleast looked like I had friends but forgot it yet once again. Then Dean and I went bowling with his buddy Mike before Mike goes back to Canada for the summer. We had a blast but you guessed it, no camera. Then last night my amazing husband, after he suprised me with putting up our ceiling fan might I add, took me our for Cinco De Mayo. Oh how I love Mexican! I do have a problem though. I always eat too many chips and salsa and then I never even come close to finishing my food. Oops! So folks even though we have no pictures we are a party!!

BLESSINGS!!!

Ok, so I wanted to jump through the phone and kiss the man on this one! I went to go pay my student loan like always today. It showed everything paid off. I thought, oh my gosh, what happened. Did I do something wrong that they sent it to collections or something. OH MY GOSH!! Panic mode set in. So I called and talked to this guy. He said to me, Meghan let me read these notes a little more. I'm gonna put you on hold. So I held. When he came back on he told me that at the end of the year they randomly choose accounts with low balances to pay off with the extra money that they have. Well mine was one of those accounts!!!! I had a thousand dollars left on there and folks, ITS ALL GONE!! True testimony builder of tithing here folks. Heavenly Father is amazing and blesses me so much I truly think at this moment I am breathless!! Man that boy on the other end of the line is lucky he is so far away!! I would be weeping in his arms right now!! :)

Tuesday, April 22, 2008

Ok, so I don't know how long it's been since I've been this sick but my lovely new husband finds it necessary to share with you all on how nasty my throat looks. Look carefully to the back. Normal people tonsils are not white and puffy like this but oh blessed me...... MINE ARE!!! Been like this for two days now! What an amazing yet agonizing skinny plan!
