Awesome Stuff

So a couple of cool things have happened this week. First, Matt shot a nice 10 point buck. The buck is beautiful and is happily resting in our deep freezer until we get him processed :-) Anyway, here's a picture:

The other awesome thing this week is that we bought a new truck today :-) We have been thinking about it and working things out for about a month now and it all came together today! It actually was perfect because as Matt was driving our old truck down to the dealership to pick up our new truck, our old one died. I wouldn't even start for Matt and his sister had to pick him up. Anyway, we are proud owners of a 2009 Toyota Tacoma. It's got everything we wanted in it, 4 wheel drive, V6, and manual transmission. Here's a pict:

Hunting Season!

It's November, my favorite month, and it's been a good one so far! Here in Texas, it's in the 70s during the day and the 50s at night, so perfect. Some of the trees are changing color, nothing like Los Alamos, but it's still nice. I've been enjoying eating pumpkin flavored foods such as pumpkin cheesecake (amazing) and pumpkin ice cream. I can't wait for Thanksgiving because the food is always amazing and I get a couple of days off of work. Also, this year is really gonna rock because my brother-in-law (Brian) got Matt and I tickets to go see the UT/A&M game in Austin on Thanksgiving Day. It's gonna be great! I love football!

So Matt has been hunting with a bow a little bit this year and last week, him and a buddy (Josh) got a deer. It's a nice 8 point buck and had plenty of meat on it to keep me happy :-) I thought I'd share a few pictures of that and a video...Michelle and Mom, don't watch the movie, you won't enjoy it...
