Field Trips and Fun things -
Cornbelly's Farm -
We went to Cornbelly's Farm in Lehi with our friends and our cousins to play in the corn maze and take a hay ride. |
Our favorite thing at Cornbelly's was the corn box! |
Planetarium - Garrett and I went to the planetarium with Vangaurd and had so much fun that we went back the next day with the whole family. We saw star shows and presentations on their sphere in the lobby!
Who knew you could go to Mars? |
Walking on the moon with no gravity! |
Garrett is an alligator, Luke a Jedi, Afton a lalaloopsy named Kat and Kensi was a lololoopsy named Pillow. |
Marshyl was a very convincing rocker, Luke went as a rocker on Halloween and Clyde was a crazed BYU fan! |
Mom school - (where I teach them things that I enjoy learning about)
This month we worked a lot on our homemaking skills as the harvest was coming in and we had a lot of canning to do! We also got out with our friends to enjoy autumn!

Vanguard Youth - Kaiden, Nic and Luke are in Vanguard Youth. This month they learned about:
Theme: Citizenship
Scripture: Alma 31:5 "And now, as the preaching of the word had a great tendency to lead the
people to do that which was just—yea, it had had more powerful effect
upon the minds of the people than the sword, or anything else, which had
happened unto them—therefore Alma thought it was expedient that they
should try the virtue of the word of God."
Books:
In addition to the books we will use all year (you can find that list here), we read these books this month:
"The Story of Liberty" (parts of this book)
"Spiritual Lives of Great Composers" - Chopin
