* Pinterest Love *

If you haven't checked it out already, I am pinterest-ing all over the place. Here's some sample style pins of mine. Check out the rest!

* Fashion Inspiration: Nadja Seale *

I stumbled upon Nadja on lookbook and was really drawn to her style. She has this great mix of feminine, hippie, and vintage with some more masculine/punk details that balance each other out well and creates a wonderfully romantic and unique look. I'd love to be able to pull off these looks so well.

* Anthroplogie Wish List *

Anthropologie is one of those stores that consistently makes drool-worthy clothes, accessories, and home decor. But, at this particular point in my life, I can't quite afford their prices. Still I like to add some of the items into my "wish list" folder on my desktop. These new shoes definitely made it. *swoon*

* H&M Dressing Room *

H&M allows you to virtually try on their items to create your own looks. It's a lot of fun to play with, and the options are pretty extensive. I chose to take a classic pair of black skinny jeans and try 3 different outfits with it:

* Girl Style Crushes *

1. Zooey Deschanel: adorable, nerdy, and perfectly hipster enough without making me gag.

2. Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen: say what you will about the olsen twins, but i still crush on them for dressing without giving a shit.

3. Tegan and Sara: adorable hipster style with a rocker-ish edge. plus they always have amazing hair styles.

4. Mila Kunis: hot. style-wise she always looks good, but i rarely see her taking big fashion risks. nonetheless, she is mega hot.

I felt like mixing textures a bit, so I grabbed a lacy dress and cardigan and matched it with some sparkly blue tights and thick leg warmers (necessary for winter).

This outfit was inspired by two things: Hilary Duff, and a new necklace I bought.

To explain, I watched part of a movie starring Hilary Duff while I was at the gym, and I noticed her wearing a simple white turtleneck with a large gold pendant necklace. It just seemed so easy and elegant, I had to try it.

I had recently bought this awesome gold necklace at an antique store for $10. Change white to black, add jeans and comfy booties, and you get a great fall/winter outfit that can go from the grocery store to a night out pretty easily.

When layering a monochromatic outfit I usually like to have a pop of color. In an outfit like this you could add color in the tights, a bright skinny belt, or a bold necklace.

I added my pop of color in my lipstick. I don't usually wear lipstick, but I found this $0.99 bright pink and had to try it.

I recently bought this pretty dress on sale at Target. It is very ballerina-y, so I matched it with a dark brown jacket, boots, and some hardware to add some weight to it. Blending the hard and soft pieces achieves a more casual look than if I wore the dress alone.

P.S. I found these blue silly bands in my yard!
