Why STaiRwaY?
Upon taking a glance on my blog, STAIRWAY... maybe you'll ask why STAIRWAY? What is in it? Well, I chose STAIRWAY simply because it speaks of taking a STEP either going up or going down in order to reach the next level or even reach a place where you want to go. It is my avenue to reach out to the world and share my hopes and aspirations in life as well as sharing the wonders of dwelling here in the Philippines.

A Valentine for my Teacher
>> Saturday, February 13, 2010
Every day I come to school;
I spend a lot of time
Learning all the things you teach,
Which is the reason I’m
Sending you this Valentine;
It’s meant to let you know
I’m happy you’re my teacher
And I want to tell you so!
I spend a lot of time
Learning all the things you teach,
Which is the reason I’m
Sending you this Valentine;
It’s meant to let you know
I’m happy you’re my teacher
And I want to tell you so!
Happy Valentine’s Day
To my favorite teacher!
To my favorite teacher!

Essential Valentine
On
Valentine’s Day we think about
Those matchless people who
Give extra meaning to our lives--
The very special few.
Without them, skies would turn to gray;
Things wouldn’t be the same;
Life wouldn’t be as colorful;
It would be a duller game.
And when I contemplate that group--
Friends and family who are mine,
I appreciate and treasure you;
You’re essential, Valentine!

Teacher! Joys and Pains
>> Saturday, February 6, 2010
No one in this world is more overlooked than a teacher. Other professionals usually go home without having to worry about doing homeworks. The teacher does a great amount of mental and physical work away from the classroom. In the library or at home, the teacher prepares the lessons, makes examinations, reads books, does research, surfs the net for lesson enrichment, blogs and extends service in the community.
Compared to people in other professions, the teacher is poorly paid… sometimes the benefits are given in installment basis. Teaching is indeed a sacrifice, a mission, and many times, the teacher is taken for granted.
Compared to people in other professions, the teacher is poorly paid… sometimes the benefits are given in installment basis. Teaching is indeed a sacrifice, a mission, and many times, the teacher is taken for granted.
But money is not the prime consideration of a dedicated teacher. He/she is one who cannot be lured by attractive and high paying jobs. Of course, teaching poses many challenges that the teacher’s mind and energy is always put to a test.
Teaching is both a science and an art. It is not merely a matter of methods and techniques. More important than method is the person of the teacher. Teaching profession is coined with commitment and dedication. For it entails sacrifices, diligence, hardwork, emotional and social maturity and above all faith in God.
