NOT all heroes wear capes. Some heroes happen to be caring for a mobile shop, hidden from the eyes of the public.
In a viral post on X, a limping elderly man could be seen entering a shop with the intention to sell his Xiaomi 13.
The reason? He was in desperate need of money to treat his leg due to a terrible wound from diabetes.
The owner of the shop did the only thing any good soul could do, refuse it and instead, gave the man some money to help him on his way.
According to the owner, the man started crying, thanking him when he heard those words of kindness. He added that the man could come to his shop for help or to call him should he require aid.
The video has since inspired many people, as can be seen in the comment section. Indera said these are things that made him proud to be a Malaysian citizen.
Another netizen claimed that today was her bad day, but seeing this video reminded her of the many others who had problems and required aid.
“The lives of the many races appear to be fine and harmonious. Only the gulf between the races are seen in extreme politics,” said Daniel.
deejay echoed his statement, saying, “We are all really united. Proud watching this. We’re always one!”
SabeR RideR, who denied the fact that he was touched by the video, blamed the dust in the air for making him cry.
We suppose the good samaritan will be getting more business when he gets endorsements such as these:
Alongside came the overwhelming praises heaped upon him by fellow netizens.
Then there was Tedka who raised the issue of Zakat and the many processes required to get help from the institution.
One netizen said that if a supporter of PAS or PN were to see this, they would claim that the good deed was done to generate content for publicity.
Looking at the “actors” in the show, the scene appears genuine to our eyes.
We would like to give them the benefit of the doubt and most importantly, wish the mobile shop owner a huge kudos for making such an exemplary statement in a country divided by race and religion. —Focus Malaysia
