Meghan Markle -The Royal Wedding Bridal Makeup Look

Hi ya Gorgeous!
Happy Friday! We are on the fast countdown to the royal wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

I remember when Princess Diana, was married.  I woke up early to watch! It was such a big deal, and such a fairy tale book story becoming reality and she was beyond beautiful. The gown and that train were a sight to behold!

Rumor has it for Meghan Markle's wedding dress, the British design team Ralph & Russo who designed her engagement photo dress in the picture below.  Also, they are having a lemon elder flower cake! I don't know what that is, but I know I want some!

So when it comes to her makeup look for her wedding day - I highly suspect this gorgeous gal will not wear lashes and will not have a highly highlighted contoured face like what is seen in Youtube and Insta makeups.

Kate Middleton did her own bridal makeup for her wedding at Westminster Abbey to Prince William.

Trust me, if a Princess to be can do her own makeup and look flawless, so can you!

Meghan Markle -The Royal Wedding Bridal Makeup Look - I just did a makeup look using department store makeups; Too Faced Cosmetics, Make Up For Ever and butter LONDON on the Makeup University Facebook page, you can see that using this link.

There is a drugstore version in the works for next week! Stay tuned to the Makeup University Facebook page for that.

Finally, if you are a bride on a budget or an " I Do Times Two" bride, maybe a gal getting married on a cruise with a destination wedding - the DiY Bridal Makeup video course with instant access is perfect for preparing you to take control of your bridal day look!

Beauty Brands Summer Makeup Party at San Tan Village AZ

Hi ya Gorgeous,
Happy Monday to you! Whoa-the past few days have  been intense. In  the middle of it, I had an opportunity to visit a summer makeup party at the Beauty Brands in the San Tan Village in Gilbert Arizona.

My son and I were traveling back from a Tucson event and as we made our way North across Arizona we stopped in at this Beauty Brands event. Thanks for the invite Beauty Brands!

My son loves the Elizabeth Arden Skin Perfecting creme for chapped lips, itchy pilaris keratosis spots and little scrapes he gets as he bounds through his day.

He also made his way quickly to the snack bar of refreshments!

These are the products that I bought because there are not any false eye lash sets sold at Beauty Brands? There was one small half eye side set from Eyeko which in no way would meet what I need and am looking for-so back to Amazon for those for the next makeup gig I have.

The Elizabeth Arden is for my son, the Peter Thomas Roth peel pads are for me and I've tried them once and already I can see they are on the go back to the store list-not what I was looking for and no one around to answer my question while I was shopping. Beauty Brands has a 30 day return policy with a receipt.  The Bliss soapy suds is something my son picked up and said "smells like summer" so we got it!

Here's a little video that shows just what went down at the summer makeup party in Beauty Brands!

Something More! Sugarland, Too Faced Cosmetics and rest!

Hello Gorgeous!

Happy Sunday and fun day of being with family, resting, bbq'ing, and in general, enjoying life!
Lately, I have been on the go, and going at hyper drive! Life was very busy and very full before I started homeschooling my Mancub, and now? Things are in warp speed factor 5!

I still am committed to daily blogging, though the travel and time changes, and lifestyle disruption has caused today's blog post to be more of a commentary and less of a review or instruction.

See these goodies? It's my face for the day. I'm actually at a NASCAR event for a client taking care of business ( I feel SO Elvis when I say  that!) but as soon as I walk through the door running tonight, I want to be able to just be with my baby, his two fat cats, and relax in my recliner!

It's like the Jennifer Nettle's song says, "I need some red wine and some me time!"
I will be back on Monday with a fun blog and test of some amazing Too Faced Cosmetics samples I received that are so perfect for a red carpet beauty look or traveling for spring break and looking cute the entire time! Sunscreen ladies! Sunscreen!

In the meantime, enjoy Sugarland and the song, "Something More"!

Photo tutorial for Peggy Carter in Marvel Studios Captain America: The First Avenger

The Best Hairstyles for Your 30s

The wrong cut can make you look matronly -- or like you're trying too hard. Here, the hairstyle dos and don'ts once you reach your third decade

The Best Hairstyles for Your 30s

OK, so you're not exactly old, but the carefree days (and looks) of your 20s are gone. With those beer-guzzling and shameless sun-tanning days behind you, it's time to match your hairstyle to your age. Find inspiration in these celebrity dos and don'ts to find a look that's cute and age appropriate.

Hello Gorgeous!
Are you ready to get your Peggy Carter on?
The video for this look is posted on YouTube now...but in case you prefer a slower approach-here are the photos step by step.
I like to watch Julia Child cook-but I can never do the steps as fast as she does! And no, I have never
boned a duck!

First, apply Too Faced eye primer Insurance to the lids to make a smooth canvass to work on.

Second: apply your foundation-which ever is your favorite and right now I'm really enjoying the Sheer Cover mineral spf 15 makeup.
Eyebrows are next! Look at the picture of Peggy Carter and follow along!

That is my favorite thing about eyebrows and why I do not tattoo mine on. I like to be able to draw them on in different sizes, shapes and colors. I'm using Sophia by Brow Diva for my brows with a slant tip brush.
Next, I begin my eye makeup with the Smashbox spring palette. I know, I need to get a new one because I have used this one to the dickens!

The eyeshadow is 3 steps:
1. Light bone color under brow and through tear duct area
2. Taupe brown (semi matte shadow) is all over the lid
3. Crease has a wee bit of grey for depth

Liquid eyeliner is a key factor to this look! Almost as key as the red matte mouth and marcelled hair!
Your liquid liner can be Wet n Wild, Lash Food like mine or a wet slant tip brush in a black shadow-just make sure you make a normal eyeliner and not a cat like line because it wouldn't match Peggy Carter's look!

I am applying the Sheer Cover blush duo in Pinched/Ginger directly under the cheek bone. Not in the hollow-not on the apple- just a wee smudge of color to contour my face with a whisper of color near the apple of the cheek. Use any muted pink/brown tone you have at home.
Put on mascara! Lashes if you've got 'em!
Finish this look with a really good matte red lipstick!
In the photo, I'm wearing Makeup Designory LADYBUG, but Lorac Explore is an excellent buttery red matte as well as the budget friendly Wet n Wild Mega Matte lipsticks. Try 006!

Now, here I am in my marcelled hair, liquid liner and matte red mouth-Peggy Carter ready for Steve Rogers in Captain America: The First Avenger!

Below there is a movie poster picture of Hayley Atwell, the actress who plays Peggy Carter - the look is pretty close!
Enjoy the movie and post your pics of your own Peggy Carter look!
p.s. Oh golly I could pinch myself! I had the opportunity to buy an Army uniform jacket just like that and didn't! Argh! Grr!

Too Faced cosmetics Pixie Pair perfect for Phoenix Faerie Fair!

Red Carpet Looks You Can Do in Under 10 Minutes

Find out how to get your fave celebrity looks -- minus the prep time

Red Carpet Looks You Can Do in Under 10 Minutes

This is a TotalBeauty.com hair style advice article

We picked the brains of celebrity hairstylists and makeup artists to get the steps to re-create these looks in under 10 minutes.

Welcome to the world of Too Faced Pixie makeup!
Just in time for the Phoeix Faerie Faire! Enjoy the photo tutorial and then put some on and visit the faeries at:

http://www.westerngatesfaerierealms.com/PhoenixFaerieFestival.htm

I think this super cute light turquoise quilted bag of makeup is perfect for a destination bride, any bride, everyday at the office and of course for getting your pixie makeup on for anytime you are feeling the least bit pixiesh.

The first photo shows everything that
comes in the kit: the blush and bronzer duo, the quad of shadows, the lipgloss, a mascara and eyeshadow primer.
The second picture shows the extra beauty items that I added to complete my day pixie look.

After applying my Arbonne line defiance makeup, I began to prime my lids for shadow.
A little bit of primer goes a long way and is worth the added step for photos, or big party nights out because it creates an even canvas to work on and the slight tackiness of the product makes shadows wear

longer. The quad comes with a matte neutral beige that you won't see in a photo of me putting on though I put the creme primer on, then applied a light dusting of the neutral beige
before I started covering below the eyebrow, to the nose and slightly past the outer edge of my eyes with the sparkly gold tone.
Then I cover the lid area from eye
lash line to the crease with the
coppery medium shadow-and I blend like crazy!
This quad is so versatile with a high pigment load that you really can go
from day to night or wedding
ceremony to reception and off to
the honeymoon with it!
Next I use the dark brown to make a smudgey eyeline along my lashes on top and underneath. I use the same dark brown to draw on a thick angular eyebrow.
I curl and apply two coats of the
mascara. I like to curl my lashes first and feel like it opens up the eye a bit more.
The small size is convenient for travel or keeping in your purse during a celebration out.

I begin to finish my Too Faced Pixie look with a coat of gloss and thank goodness it has a brush on it and not a doe foot! I love a brush in my gloss because it puts the product on the mouth and then you can blend it into place where as a doe foot just wipes
the color on and the off as you try to apply. I did not line my lips as usual in this photo!
Since my look is just about done I set my makeup with my new favorite beauty product the brand Makeup Forever HD translucent powder.
If you don't have some, put it on your Christmas list!

Finally, I'm pixie perfect ready and I seal it all in a light spray of ERA Classified cosmetics silver shimmer highlight.

Why you say? Why not!

The Too Faced Pixie makeup bag is a special set for holiday sales and can be picked up at Sephora, Ulta, and maybe even a fine beauty retailer near you!
