Reliable white Columbines
What a cold, wet spring we are having in Southern Oregon, but at least I can always rely on my Columbines to bloom bright and early. They are so pretty and delicate and they come back year after year, even after the hellacious 4 degree weather we had this winter.
It's raining out there again today, and it's a bit cool, so the few flowers I have so far really perk me up. Love the white and how it pops against all the beautiful greens!
The foliage is bright emerald green and all "shamrocky" as the kids call it. They are surprisingly tough perennials.
And somehow, tho I only planted white flowering plants, I've ended up with a few very pretty lavender bloomers. I am so ready for the weather to warm up so my other flowers will bloom, but for now my Columbines are just lovely. Enjoy!
