Tishy's birthday card - she does love her blues

A little easel card for daughter number two.  Used some papermania blue card base, some prima flowers, my flower xcut border punch, some wee flower gems from my stash and some pretty papermania designer papers again from my stash. The gorgeous butterfly is Anitas.

Haven't been around much, we have been slating the roof, and have half done now, the two dormers went in this last week on the front of the house just the last velux to go now, me and Will will tackle that this weekend and then we can slate the front. hmm, it all takes time and in my case oodles of energy (ZZZZZ) sorry not really that tired but you know where I'm coming from if you have ever done any major diy 'yourself'' hehe.
Kiddies have pretty much found all sorts of fun things to do, the caravan has been a hotspot for mini tea parties (too many sweeties lol) but they have been great.
Hope you have all been keeping well, I will pop round during this week to see everyone. xx

Pollycraft for someone special

Coloured in with my promarkers and layered onto some black card and some pretty papers my friend eva gave me. I have punched out some colour co-ordinated circles from some designer Stampin up papers and added a metal sentiment with a wee gem on it.

The lower part of the easel card has been made in similar papers and I have echoed the three circle punches and topped with three large flower gems.

Cheeky chimps anniversary love

An image from the Digi Stamp Boutique which I have coloured with my PM's and glittered with stickles.
Which I have to confess has already left the building and I very nearly forgot to photograph it so that I could share it with you. Life is fairly hectic in the Mainland household at the moment.
It is an Anniversary card for my parents who are celebrating their 45th this year, so went for the blue colours cos I found out it is meant to be celebrated with sapphire, of course then I remembered that you can actually get pink and green sapphires as well, but think the blue was the right choice.

I found some pretty little white heart brads to put in the centre of the flowers made from prima and also some from the pound shop from last year.(the gold ones).
The ribbons are velvet and are from my stash box, as is the snippet of lace and the gold thin ribbon bows which I tied and then fixed with two tiny gold brads(dropped one of these and it is officially mia, they are so tiny)
The large piece of organza ribbon with gold edging is from a box/present, so a bit of recycling there too!

Nearly forgot to mention the giant DCWV brad, these are gorgeous, one of those items you almost don't use cos you love them so much (you all know what I mean!!!)
The papers are freebies, papermania and a couple small snippets of gold from my stash that are so old their make escapes me?

Squigglestamps Jubilee Challenge and Freebies

Hmm seem to have lost the plot this weekend, had planned some fun things to do this week, then Will got a phone call (on sunday) to go to work because the proverbial had hit the fan. So instead of a few days off this week he is going to be staying over at Inverness some of the time to sort out all the problems.

On a plus side it does mean I get some extra crafting time!!

Today I have a Squigglestamps creation for you. The latest challenge at Squigglestamps Blog is 'Jubilee' and to celebrate we have some wonderful Jubilee Freebies to share with you all.

We would love to see all your projects to celebrate the jubilee, or red/white/blue or maybe bling and glitter and lots of sparkle.

The card I have made to share with you is created using the boy from the above freebies.  It is for the son of one of my best friends.
I coloured with my promarkers and used a happy birthday Stampin Up sentiment, that I got FREE when I held a SU party.
Now as the images were FREEBIES, I decided to see if I could make the whole card using FREEBIES.
The papers are from a cardmaking magazine, the doily from a friend. The ribbons were also FREE from another magazine and the brads were from a candy win from a year ago.
Challenges

Crafts and Me - Add a ribbon
I love promarkers - Use a digi

Penny Black summer sunshine celebrations

So love this image, makes me think of Summer time and the olympic torch now, not birthdays lol.
I have made this card for my mums birthday that is in june. I have coloured using a mixutre of promarkers, SU markers and pen. I have used my freebie stamp for the happy birthday and some of my freebie papers, (for the flowers and bunting). The matt card is papermania and I have faux stitched.

I crunched the flowers but didn't make them wet this time. Affixed using a brad.

The bunting is such fun in the dotty pattern and the celebrate is a die cut from the same paper pack.
Look at the sunshine, what am i doing indoors, must finish fast as have more washing to hang out, the washing machine can't keep up with how quick it is drying. long may it last!!!

Yaaayyy, the Squiggles Challenges are back!!!

Woohooo Squiggles Challenges are back, we had a short break to get ourselves sorted out for facebook, brand new challenges,  and lots of exciting fun!!!
The new challenge is Ribbons and Roses and the grand prize is a £15 voucher to spend instore. yayyy!!!!
So pop on over and have a looky at the dt's creations and join in the fun. You don't have to use a Squiggles image to play, but we sure love it when you do. In fact we love it so much we put the entry in twice!
The image that I chose to share is one of the new Jessabelles, she is called 'stitched' and is available here.
I have coloured with my promarkers and have used stickles on the heart.
I used some papers from my stash, can't remember their name but they came from the march kit at simon says. The pretty floral ribbon came from a magical ribbon shop in Devon last year and the roses are from marianne creatables. The green and blue ribbons are Stampin up and held in place with some tiny brads from my stash.

I have stickled each of the roses and distressed them, they were all cut from co-ordinations card and I found this was quite good for distressing.
Both the sentiments are from Stampin up sets.
The swan is from my bead/charm boxes
Close up of those pretty ribbons.

Meljens pony easel card

Isn't she beautiful!
Coloured her in with my promarkers and added glitter to the flowers.  I have followed a sketch for this one from a Gem of a Challenge.
I used wee grey dew drops, some papermania stickers, my wee circle punch and my large and small x-cut flower punches. Around the edge pansy punch and small pink glitter gems and then edged gently with beige chalks. The large glittery brads are from SU as are the sentiment stamps.
It's so nice and sunny today that the pictures seem to make her look even happier.
I have a hidden tag too! So you can pop in your own secret sentiment.
And yes a little bit of faux stitching.

Pink and Girlie Birthday Wishes

Bella on swing by digi stamp boutique.  This is one of the images that I won recently and have finally printed, coloured and layered onto a card. Went a bit pink and girly here don't know what came over me. Perhaps it was the big dark pink flower that i found in my stash.

Coloured with my promarkers and SU markers this time. Used several die cuts and 6 sweet little dark pink brads. The flower is from my stash and I have added a WO rose and a beige/pink mulberry flower between them all.

The sweet little charm is also from my stash and the photo below was in a slightly different light, but felt it showed the flower better. faux stitches added to finish.

Christmas easel with pollycraft and papermania

This cute little image is from pollycraft, I used some snippets to make the crossways panels and also for the poinsettia.

So this is another christmas card for the pile and I used a papermania stamp for the sentiment and tag shape.
The image has been coloured with my promarkers.
I chalked the edges of the tag after I had used a deckle edge scissor to cut out the shape.
The large brad is DCWV.

Squiggles Jessebelles are brilliant, newest release is a must have....

So here is the first one of the jessebelles and she is called Frills, that i am going to share with you all. It would have been up sooner but have had my birthday and mothersday this weekend so have been ultra busy. Add the moray music festival to the mix and you have a last week when I was out every night with my kiddies either listening to them sing (they got an 'outstanding' for the choir)  or the string orchestra (distinction) then of course this weekend we have their real concerts on saturday and sunday and some orienteering!!!

Isn't she gorgeous!
I found this DCWV clear acetate sentiment and thought it suited her down to a t. I coloured with my promarkers, added some heart border punching some gorgeous red feathers from my stash, 2 marianne creatable red roses, some pins and a doily. and voila c'est fini.
I used a LOTV circle sentiment as the stopper for the easel.

CAS Christmas Easel

This little sweetie is a sugar nellie and I have coloured her in with my whispers pens. I have followed a simple sketch and kept it clean and simple. I have added some faux stitching around the image and also some tibetan silver charms, which I attached with tiny brads.
Then I added some stickles to parts of her dress and some of the parcels.

The ribbon came from Brenda as part of her recycled candy that I won last year, it is perfect. I attached with a snowflake brad. The sentiment and snowflakes are from a set of christmas fairy stamps. The snowflakes have been liberally smothered in stickles.

Some cuddly bears for a baby card

Sorry about the rotton picture, not a lot of good light at the moment.
I have made this card to add to my card pile, as there are several babies due amongst my friends and as of yet no one knows what sex they are having.
So I will be sharing a blue version with you all when I get around to making it!
I have not made a round easel card before, but liked the outcome.
The Dies are spellbinder nestabilities. The sentiment stamp is an old one from my stash, 'impressions' is the name that comes to mind, but not sure 100% on that make.
I have used a Squiggle Stamps Rubber stamp called 'Polar Love', then I coloured it up as if it were a brown bear and think it came out lovely.
The pink hearts have been punched and recycled from a card that I received before christmas.
The current Challenge at Squiggle Stamps is RECYCLE/UPCYCLE and I am lovin' it. Have got so many ideas, including reusing old cereal boxes and I even have an old zip put aside for a scrapbook page I have planned. Just LOVE recycling.
Right then onto the challenges that I wish to enter, I seem to be rattling a bit must be too much coffee or just that FRIDAY FEELING!!!
Fab'n'Funky ch 103 - Also have a  Recycle It! challenge

Stampin' for the weekend ch 24 - Out with the old (use old stash)

The little elf girl is from here and the gems are papermania.
The box that I made is just beautiful and again same gems and punches.
