My Home My Haven and it's MINE

Alhamdulillah, in 2 weeks time, our haven on earth, our abode, our little house on the prairie will be ours, in its true sense. Rasa lega sangat knowing that, rumah tempat kami berlindung dah secure.

After forking out $$$ for 6 years, we saved about 32k out of 55k profit made by the company, that's alot and on top of that we can get some refund from MRTT, surrender value after 6 years would be about 50-75% (I guess). Amiin.

Acara tepek dinding

It's no use to deny that I am very much like my abah, I inherited so much artsy fartsy side of him. At one point in my life (when I used pen more than keyboard) my handwriting was almost similar to him (he got a beautiful strokes, so WAS mine kahkahkah). Photography, books and anti-misalignment etc all are his trade that unconsciously showing in me, that's what my mom kept on telling me.

I was brought up in a house that was full of photo frames and oil painted arts which were painted by my abah. He even wrote (yes, as in writing on paper) a philosophy or nice quotes on the wall. Quotes such as 'Jangan jadi seperti lilin, membakar diri untuk menerangi orang lain, berilah sinarmu tapi jangan musnahkan dirimu'. It was written across our living wall. He painted bubbles, lines here and there. it's everywhere...our house was painted with glossy paint, never that boring dull paint.

So it came as no surprise when I started to visualise the same thing for my new house. I was thinking of doing it the 'manual' way coz at that time (few years ago), to get a wall decal, it will cost you arms and legs just for 1 design and only available online. The nearest shop that I can place my order is S'pore.

Luck is on my side, I don't have to worry anymore as there a tonnes of these stickers around :) Just decide you want the mahal one or cheapo type. Early this year, I bought my 1st sticker in Gaya Market KK for rm6/piece only to discover that it was selling at rm2/piece in pasar malam. I bought in bundles.

I wanted to change this family area into a play area, so I put the stickers on after that KK trip.

Last week I've added another design at the bottom, does it look too much, crowded ? or better then the 1st one ?

Next ? I'm going to order quotes as well, alang2 dah macam anak abah kan ? Complete package je lah kan ? Wall quotes that look something like this... with nicer font and personalize quotes

Reno : Scrapped No.1 - Water Meter

I planned to put my water meter inside the refuse chamber like this. It's neat and I like it so much.

However, I was advised by the contractor to maintain it out of the box to facilitate future maintenance. It would be easier if there is an underground leak bla bla...

So the 1st thing that I WISHED but had to SCRAP.

To tell you the truth, I'm actually sad that the idea had to be scrapped, it does make me sleepless that night.

Mari Masuk Hutan !!

Few weeks ago, Chenta aka laki Dd tanya the location of our new house. Misteri sungguh..Bukan 2, bukan 3 malah ramai lagi yg x leh nak imagine..kat mana la budak ni beli rumah. hahaha.

Jadi sama2lah kita melihat tapak lokasi kejadian dari pandangan satelit. Gambor jaman bila ntah ni, 3 thn lepas kot...wello inchik Gugel, soh la satelit ko dtg sini lagi...

Dah sedia ?

Haa...landmark, haruslah UIA kan ? Yang tanda A tuh entrance dia...korang ke depan sket, amek kanan kat trafik light leh tembus Karak Hiway, tercongok Tol Gombak kat situ.

Sekiranya korang tak belok kanan dan meneruskan perjalanan, jangan risau, habis2 teruk pun korang jumpa jalan mati kat ujung Kg Sg Pusu tu hah..iaitu yang bertanda B. Sila patah balik..

Nampak tanah gondrong sebelah exhibit B dan D tuh ? :tetiba mcm kat court plak: Haaaa...cemanalah aku boleh beli rumah kat sini wakakaka tu misteri yang aku ngan laki aku jek leh jawab.

Memang benar, rumah kami sangat di hulu hutan banat...kena rempuh hutan khatulistiwa bagai. Yang gelap ala2 mcm pulau kat bawah adalah Empangan Ba-2. Kalau korang rasa nak buat trip hiking ke mancing ke, leh la buat pit-stop umah aku kekeke

Tgk jalan mcm trek F1 tuh, jangan tertipu tuan-tuan. Dia adalah sangat mendaki dan aku pun tak sure lori 1Kea leh panjat ke tak ..huhu. Yang mcm dah siap tuh Fasa 1, umah aku (myHaven kunun) Fasa 2, masa ni baru rangka, yang lawaknya depa terpaksa stop keje fasa 2 yang agak pantas berbanding fasa 1 (kontraktor lain2). Dah kau Fasa 2, apehal la plak siap dulu..gitu la kot falfasah developer tuh. Yang nampak macam 3 segi sebelah bawah tulah cerun bukit yg jadik kontroversi sampai abang x-MB naik tengok, org TVTiga duk turun naik...last2 haram x dak solution pun.

I AM under the weather, but

I know what to do..

I WANT and I AM TAKING my time to 'ENJOY' the feeling...before I get to the surface again (Angelita, you uplifted me a few notches few days ago, came down all the way to our 'lil garden' to hand me that RM200 SOGO voucher, TQ dear)

So now...take a back seat, look around, be thankful, you're faaaaaaaaarrr better than others, stop blaming others for what you didn't get, stop being nice and helpful only to be used.

Stop whining ...then ?? Go shopping.

Sumer tu beli masa mula2 kawin dulu. Pueh ati kami pakai..terpaksa beli skrg sbb IKEA sale and those mmg dlm list utk masuk umah baru. Jimat RM500 hehe

Now I realised that I've so many stuffs from hardware store that I've yet to put in my W1shList especially the WaterJet & Black&Decker stuffs. I grew up playing with those stuffs. HubbyDeary, fyi, I do appreciate if you get me a present from hardware dept, seriously.

The One That We Rented

As I jakun-ly mentioned in my earlier post, I was beyond kagum with the place that we stayed in Langkaw1. My company resort (payment thru salary deduction..bukan free ye). Another benefit that made me feel that I've made the right choice to jump-in 7 years ago.

Enjoy some of the pix that I managed to snap. At last, Man can see and visualize THE tingkap and doors that I've been talking about all this while whenever we berangan-ed about our new house.

5 rooms than can easily accomodate 9 adults. All rooms are equipped with their own bathroom (towel & toilettries provided just like hotel) and TV with ASTRO. Daily housekeeping. Daily newspaper. Bike rent. In-room service (chargeable upon check-out) .

1st room : 1 single bed to store all 'harta rampasan'

2nd room : 2 single beds put together occupied by Along, Adan n Nadia.

3rd room : queen bed with balcony for bibik

4th room : 1 queen bed reserved as KUMoN's room

5th our room lah with huge bathroom complete ngan jacuzzi.
