Вот сделала еще один винтажный блокнот, котортый уже по счету и не знаю. Ну люблю я их нежно, что поделаешь :))) Этот для блога Scraps N Pieces, где только что вышло новое мистическое задание про книги! Участвуйте, друзья!

ENG Hello dear friends and welcome back to Scraps N Pieces Blog! A new challenge has just started, and this time it’s all about the magical world of books! Old and new, big or small, novels, fairy tales, historical, romantic, fascinating…just think of how many adjectives you can use to describe them. Well, that alone tells us how glorious books are!

I was totally inspired by this new mood board and decided to create something vintage and mystical, at the same time, using the color scheme and the elements from the board. The notebook is in size A5 and the cover is made from scratch. This time I played it hard and used tons of mixed media materials :) It took me several days to create the notebook because I just couldn't stop until I was completely satisfied with it. But it was a very pleasing creative process.

As a base for the cover I used pieces of cardstock. First, I applied black gesso, and then a combination of texture paste, sand paste,crackle texture paste. To color it, I used acrylic paints, alcohol inks and crackle varnish. I also did some stamping. The front cover is decorated with patterned paper, metallic embellishments, chipboard, beads, brads, and textile hydrangea flowers.

The inside covers are decorated with patterned paper by 7 Dots Studio. Their "Garden Party" collection suits our mood board 100 % :) Plus, I did some stamping and used a single 19th Century biology book page that I had kept on my shelf for ages.

On Scraps N Pieces blog we gathered all those favorite elements that speak Spring in our hearts and created a lovely collage to inspire you for this month's challenge. So come and play along, the theme is SPRING! You can create whatever you like as long as it comes from the heart and is inspired by Spring. Upload your creations at our challenge and share them with all Scraps N Pieces friends! The challenge will be open until May 15th.

My inspiration is a couple of boho style cards. I took the mild Spring colors and added layers of painted paper, patterned paper, chipboard, acetate overlay, and flowers. I wish everybody a happy creative Spring!

Today I am showing you how to create art in coin size!

If you're familiar with Artists Trading Cards - ATCs - then you know that the latest trend is ATCoins. Small pieces of art, made with each designer's unique style, that come in a round shape like actual coins. 

I am already experienced in ATC making. My collection includes over 130 ATCs from all around the world. Today it is my first take on ATCoins :)

Елочный шарик / Christmas bauble

В блоге Scraps N Pieces вышло новое крутое задание "From Trash to Treasure". Как же мы все любим переделывать что-то, спасенное из помойки, в арт-объекты :)) Ну я так точно люблю. На этот раз вот переделала погрызанный соседской собакой мячик моего ребенка в шарик на елку :) Присоединяйтесь к нам в блоге Scraps N Pieces!

ENG  I made a Christmas bauble out of trash :) My daughter had this little rubber ball she played a couple of times outside with last summer. Then our neighbor´s dog stole the ball, chewed it for a month and then it was gone... Last week we accidentally found it in front of our house in the snow! My daughter brought it home and wanted to keep playing with the ball! I did not want to keep a cheap ball that was chewed by a dog and then no one even knows what happened to it for several months outside... But then we decided that the ball that underwent so many adventures should not just end up in the garbage. So I washed it well (the ball was in a surprisingly good condition) and turned it into a Christmas tree bauble.

On the picture, you can see the ball after washing. Then I covered the ball with two coats of white gesso and some lace that I cut out of an old curtain. Then I colored the future bauble with ink sprays, used a golden wax to relieve the texture of the lace and a texture paste that imitates snow. The bauble is decorated with mulberry flowers, beaded berries, real anise stars and a lot of glitter and sequins.

December is here, and we’re all so excited about Christmas preparations. Thousands of tiny lights in the streets, the shop windows, and our homes, bring warmth and joy to our hearts. It’s Christmas and we’re all kids again!

There´s a new challenge on ScrapsNPieces blog! It is dedicated to holidays table decorations. The reason being, that these days our dining tables become a very special place where all families and friends gather up to share love and good food!

This year I made a rustic but also glamorous centerpiece. I used natural elements and accented them with mixed media materials! It is beautiful and budget friendly piece of decor! 

My Christmas centerpiece is meant for the dining table. The base is a star-shaped wreath, on which I glued many pine cones with hot glue. I used a silver spray to color it. Then I highlighted the edges of the cones with white gesso. In the middle of the star, I added a wooden décor piece by Wycinanka, which I also painted silver. I also added some flowers and rhinestones on top of it and filled any empty space with dried petals and nuts, which I colored with white paint.

ENG I made a vintage marine notebook "Bon voyage" inspired by our Greek summer mood board. It is 20x12 cm and contains 60 white paper sheets and 3 double-sided dividers. I was inspired by the blue and white colors, by red details, by fish and octopus on the banner of Scraps N Pieces new mood board :) To create it I used Prima Marketing and Carta Bella Papers. I also used a variety of embellishments and twines. I added some color to the cover using Finnabair´s Art Alchemy Opal Magic Paint, blue and brown acrylic paints. I also added a bit of spark with Glass Glitter. A little extra stamping and embossing make the cover and dividers even more complicated and interesting to look at.

...Умираю от жары... В Таллинне сегодня 34 С - я такого лично не помню вообще на своем веку. Что-то невероятное! Вообще-то хотела показать бытовую, слегка хаотичную страничку на тему лета и путешествий, которую делала для блога Scraps N Pieces, где идет пока еще июльское летнее (пляжное!) задание. 

ENG This time I went for a scrapbooking layout with some mixed media additions. There is a certain word in Russian to name this kind of layouts. It can be translated into English as casual or everyday style. I sometimes create such layouts to remember some special trips or events. It is seemingly simple, somewhat chaotic, like if you just drop various memorabilia onto your desktop and leave it like this. But in fact, it needs much more thoughtfulness and is quite challenging in terms of composition. I was inspired by our marine mood board (Scraps N Pieces July challenge) and created a layout to commemorate my trip to Maui, Hawaii. I used my photo and some real ephemera that reminded me of the trip, as well as other decorative elements.

Сегодня я хочу показать вам милую штучку, которая теперь радует меня ежедневно своим красочным решением, ажурностью и драгоценным блеском. Вот все как я люблю :) Moe маленькое персональное лето в деревянном ящичке.

Сделала я этот декоративный шедоу-бокс для греческого блога Scraps N Pieces, где как раз вышло новое задание с суперской взрывной доской вдохновения!

ENG   This time I was really inspired by the colorful roses! I decided to make a decorative object which is kind of a shadow box. I used the wooden Jillibean Soup 6"x6" wood plank crate as a base for it. I filled the crate with all sorts of paper and textile roses of different colors. The top roses in the middle are handmade of paper. They were originally just white, but I colored them with Lindy´s Magicals. I also decorated the crate with Prima colored chipboard and other chipboard branches embossed with beautiful Ranger Verdigris embossing powder. The chipboard fence is textured with Prima sand texture paste and colored with rust effect pastes. The crate itself I also touched up with the rust effect pastes and colored black with Prima black heavy gesso from inside before adding the flowers, so it created additional volume and dimension. Among the decorations, you can also see metallic embellishments touched up with Prima Opal magic rose-gold paint, bead branches, and sisal. I also sprinkled the project with Prima gold rush glass glitter here and there for extra bling and added a suitable text sticker to the base in the end.

Привет! 

В греческом блоге Scraps N Pieces идет конкурс по оформлению холщевых сумок "Pimp my tote". (Там все по-гречески, используйте транслит, девочки.) Меня попросили сделать что-то в этом направлении... Задачка та еще, я скажу. я понятия не имею ничего о покраске тканей, да еще так, чтоб они потом погодный явлений не боялись. Но меня тут заверили, что этого не надо, и вообще "Отнесись к сумке, как к миксмедийному холсту". Ну тут я расслабилась и намалевала :)))))))))

Сделала в итоге супер-веселую гранжевую сумочку, которую вполне можно носить с собой в сухую погоду. Стирать, правда, нельзя, но временно всеже вполне можно использовать. К счастью, стиль гранж не наносит особых ограничений на количество будующих загрязнений :) В любом случае, организаторам конкурса очень понравилась моя сумочка.

У нас в блоге Scraps N Pieces вышло новое задание апреля с обалденно-вкусной доской вдохновения! Принимаются скрап-работы в любом стиле и технике!

I prepared two birthday cards for my friend´s aunt and mother-in-law. Both ladies turn 70 this month. I decided to follow our mood board's color scheme and cheerful mood. The cards´ backgrounds are partly patterned paper, partly mixed media. I also used purple ribbon and teal mint Americana acrylic paint.  Among the decorations, you can see Prima and other mulberry flowers and leaves, sisal, die-cut doilies, chipboard embossed with white powder, resin cast bird, and rhinestones.

Привет, девочки и мальчики!

У нас все еще очень холодно, но зато солнышко и птички уже немного поют за окном :)

Под впечатлением их превых трелей сложились две нежные весенние открытки. Для их изготовления я использовала милую весеннюю коллекцию ТМ Фабрика Декору "Smile of Spring". Открытки продаются. А еще больше весенне-пасхального вдохновения вы можете посмотреть в блоге Scraps N Pieces :)

Национальный праздник и АТС "Sunny"

Всем большой, огромный привет!

Сегодня у нас в Эстонии большой, огрмный государственный праздник - 100-летие Эстонской Республики. Отмечаем день рождение морозом, сине-черно-белым мороженым и маникюром в этой же цветовой палитре :)

А для вас я сегодня приготовила серию совсем не зимних миксмедийных АТС "Sunny"! Они сделаны по палитре с новой доски Dare to Blossom в челлендж-блоге Scraps N Pieces. Приглашаю вас присоединиться к нам в этом задании до конца марта! Принимаются любые скрап-работы по доске.

Зимняя воздушная страничка + видео-MK

Доброе утро! 

У нас в греческом блоге ScrapsNPieces новое задание января - доска вдохновения. Посмотрите, какая красивая! По ней я сделала как раз зимнюю "воздушную" страничку с натуральными материалами и сняла обучающее видео. И постаралась оставить побольше белого. Это cвоего рода выход из зоны комфорта, и дался он мне нелегко. Ведь меня обычно хлебом не корми - дай перегрузить композицию :)))))))))))))

ENG I created a light wintry mixed media layout according to our moodboard. I followed the color scheme and used some elements from the board like the quote, the heart, the snow. 

I tried to leave a lot of white space on the layout in order not to overload it.

Зимний душистый альбом

Всем большой привет, девочки!

А у нас зима по графику день через два :) Т.е один день идет снег,потом два дня дождь :(( Ну вот и приходится создавать себе зимнее настроение самой. Сейчас покажу большой альбом, который я сделала из коллекции ТМ Фабрика Декору "Botany Winter". Шикарнейшая коллекция, обожаю ее! От бумаги и украшалок прямо пахнет апельсинчиками и корицей :)) А делала я его для греческого блога Scraps N Pieces - там сейчас весь месяц идет рождественское задание IT'S CHRISTMAS TIME BABY! в самом что ни на есть традиционном ключе - в красно-зеленой гамме. Обязательно участвуйте!

ENG Scraps N Pieces picked a very traditional moodboard for December! This month we start to prepare for the future festive days. I decided to create a photo album which is meant to celebrate this time of the year! It’s an artistic book, that measures 20cm x 20 cm (8"x 8"), with lots of hidden pockets and winter decorations and I will fill it with my family holiday pictures. I was mainly inspired by our red-green-brown color scheme and the natural elements of the mood board. The album is made of thick kraft cardstock and mainly decorated with Christmas themed patterned paper. I also used white corrugated cardboard and some white texture paste with stencils to add a rustic effect to the pages, and a lot of washi tape with text to enrich the layouts even more. Among the decorations you will see chipboards and scrapbooking tops, colorful paper doilies, lace and colored gause, brads and overlays. The cover is also decorated with metal embellishments, red ribbon and glass beads.

Хочу напомнить, что некогда очень популярный греческий блог Scarps N Pieces снова начал функционировать и оооочень ждет ваши работы по ежемесячным заданиям! До конца месяца можно добавиться в линки по заданию с красивой спокойной доской вдохновения "Stay in bed"! Работ пока совсем мало, у вас огромные шансы на ТОП :))) Там, правда, все по-гречески, но просто воспользуйтесь переводчиком страниц и все будет понятно. Ждем работы в любых стилях и техниках! 

Клетка для певчей птички

Всем большой-большой привет!

Начало ноября, нелюбимого мной месяца в общем, но в этом году он обещает быть невероятно трудовым и интересным! Меня ждут живые МК в разных городах Эстонии каждые выходные и масштабный переезд! Новый виток в жизни :) 

А тем временем в греческом блоге Scraps N Pieces вышло вчера новое задание месяца по очень уютной доске вдохновения (см. чуть ниже)! Участвуйте в нашем ноябрьском задании и создавайте свои нежные работы :) Я же сделала в этот раз украшение для нашей будущей детской комнаты - альтер-рамочку с фотографией дочки. В этот раз использовала максимум товаров из дизпосылочки от Scraps N Pieces, а там была классная металлическая шебби клетка от Прима Маркетинг (даже с птичкой! :))) Я решила, что моей "птичкой" будет доча-Каролинка, на домашнем жаргоне она у нас "королек - птичка певчая". Певицей растет, рот ни на минуту не закрывается :))) Когда работа была готова, сын объявил, что теперь и его надо тоже поместить в клетку, а то "что все только для сеструхи?!" :)))

ENG This time our smooth homy moodboard inspired me to create a delicate feminine decoration - a bird cage with my daughter's picture inside. It is a charming addition to a little girl's bedroom. I used the colors from our moodboard - gray, pink, beige, brown - but incorporated them in my favorite vintage style. The basis for the project was the metal shabby bird cage by Prima Marketing Inc, which I painted slightly with Finnabair's Rust effect Pastes. The multilayered composition behind and around the picture is created with various patterned papers, brown doilies, vintage washitape stripes (with text pattern), paper flowers and leaves, beads and gypsum figurines. I touched the flowers with rust effect pastes to give them a distressed look. In the end I added a lot of transparent glass microbeads here and there using Prima3D gel to create a sugar effect - this is such a great addition to girly theme.
